Full time daycare seemed like such a big step from where we were emotionally and financially, and a nanny wasn't an option because the hours I need childcare vary week to week. The moment I toured the newly opened Denver location, I knew this was the solution I was looking for. Denver Family Village provides affordable childcare options and most amazingly- flexibility. I can get work done in one of the comfortable coworking rooms, knowing my child is well cared for and just steps away if they need me. The childcare providers are wonderful and nurturing. This has been an excellent transition step to going back to work after having a baby. One additional perk is that i can bring my older child with me on the days that he doesn't have school. I do wish that they were open every weekday and for more afternoon hours, but hopefully as the community grows that will happen.

Following the abuse, our oldest was extremely resistant to us needing to leave her at any daycare due to the trauma of her previous experiences. Ms. Laura was beyond patient and understanding and over the course of the several weeks helped my daughter heal and grow past her experience. I cannot begin to describe how grateful we are; Laura has been so compassionate and caring to our two girls, I cannot recommend her enough. We are moving our girls to a larger daycare to take advantage of Colorado's universal pre-k program, otherwise we would be staying with Laura for another year until Kindergarten started.

Laura provides kind, attentive, and affordable childcare in a safe, pleasant, and clean environment. I always knew my son was safe and happy in her care, and even though he was sad when I would leave, I always picked him up to see a huge smile on his face from getting to play and do learning activities all day. Never once did anything scary or concerning happen like I had experienced with other providers, and her in-home care gave my son (and me) the feeling of being cared for by a family member rather than dropping him off to a room of 20 kids with a constant turn over in staff. Another huge plus was that he was sick MUCH less often than in a larger daycare setting. Laura is fully licensed and follows all rules and guidelines to a T, and her care was also reimbursable through submitting receipts to my work's FSA (if you have an FSA option for healthcare). I can't recommend Laura highly enough! She is excellent and if she has a spot open for your little, you should take it!!

The care these educators have for the children is evident through their actions. The elements used to teach is amazing and relatable to my child. I often hear my child counting in Spanish while we drive home from school. Ms. Vanessa is our teacher and she is just the best. She expects the kids to act a certain way and they don't want to disappoint her because they love her so much. Overall, this Primrose is definitely up there amongst the best schools in Colorado, as well as, the best decision we have ever made for our little one. Thanks, Primrose Shadow Canyon!

My Montessori director had a Primrose connection and this school out of all the Primroses was recommended to me. I cannot say enough about how wonderful the leadership team including Maria, Lauren and Natalie are. You feel welcome, they truly care about your child and they still know how to run a great business. The teacher tenure is outstanding and it's not uncommon for teachers to have 10+ years at Shadow Canyon. This is mind blowing for the childcare industry and that alone speaks volumes. Happy, engaged employees = happy customers (or in this case, children and their families). I have had both a infant-toddler and a preschooler in this school and was super happy both times. I went out of my way to attend this school until it was no longer feasible with a commute from the foothills. I promise you get what you pay for and it is 110% worth it!

These will show clearly not only does the owner not care about child safety but that these kids are being ignored by the teachers. If a teacher was paying attention and not talking to friends on their phones most of these could have been avoided. I have a ton more issues with this school and owner. The issues include: My daughter being left with spoiled milk for extended periods during full school days on multiple occasions. Being informed that there is no standard practice to replace children's cups with fresh water during the day or to clean them routinely. Frequent minor injuries occurring on a near-weekly basis, which I believe are related to inadequate supervision. I have personally observed staff using phones during classroom hours instead of actively monitoring the children. A consistent lack of communication regarding my daughter's daily activities. Despite being told she participates in art daily, I have never received any of her work. A noticeable behavioral change in my daughter. She was previously comfortable and social; she is now fearful of returning and appears anxious around other children. When I ask about my daughter's day at drop-off or pick-up, I am often ignored or treated as though my questions are an inconvenience. Teachers playing on cellphones while watching children which leads to more incidents, lack of care, and discomfort around students The owners reply shows zero remorse and more frames it as a misunderstanding?
