Before she started, we had a "Get to know you" meeting with her 2 teachers, where they really wanted to know our daughter's preferences, personality, challenges etc. Ever since they have been so pro-active in staying in touch with us and providing the best experience for this 3 year old. It is a Head Start Preschool so all foster children can attend for free Monday-Thursday. Her class is so diverse there are 6 different languages that are spoken. I would highly recommend this school. The facility is clean and the outdoor area, spacious.

From the wonderful hands on onsite owners, to the qualified caring director, and high quality staff/teachers, we have been very happy with the care and education our daughters have received. We currently have two daughters at this location and have experienced the nursery through the pre-k classrooms and couldn't be happier. Caring staff, very low turnover of staff, STEM focused, nice clean facilities,Smartboard for age appropriate kiddos, great indoor gym for special guest visitors and snow days, and we LOVE our daily electronic reports we get on both girls. The daily reports highlight the lessons of the day, napping and eating updates, along with photos. Makes for great dinner conversation about your kids day, helps you reinforce learning at home, and grandparents love seeing the emailed reports as well. Also a great sense of community with various events held throughout the year. We appreciate the communication, monthly newsletters sent out, and monthly parent appreication of free coffee is always appreciated -). Highly recommend to any parent!

When you find a gem of a school like Willows on Quebec, it's the best feeling as a parent, and for your kids. My daughter jumps for joy as she walks in her classroom. I am currently 37 years old. I attended this school when I was 3 and 4. My memory has faded some…read morebut I still remember how horrible the staff was to me. They HATED me. I remember during nap time I wasnt sleeping. I reached out to touch a toy truck. A big fat teacher, she had short blonde curly/wavy hair. She was overweight and she was wearing a purple shirt. She stood over me and screamed at me. Then she went back to a table that was a circular table and sat with four other teachers. All of them bashed me. I remember knowing that I couldnt cry because if I cried I would be mocked. I silently held back my tears as the teachers said horrible things about me. I dont remember exactly what was said. Its been many years but I do remember that things were said and it was mean. I remember being forced to eat food I hated, coleslaw that was runny and soggy. I wasnt allowed to eat anything else until I ate my slaw first and I hated it. I remember the lunch room being down some stairs as you walk into the front. I dont know if they changed things up since then but back then the lunch room was down a few steps as you walk in, past the front desk. The kids sit at tables and back then we walked up to get food if we wanted more. The lunch lady refused to feed me until I ate my soggy slaw first. To this day the smell of slaw gets to me. I remember another incident where we were making toy boats. We had to use string to sew in the part of the boat, making it fun colors. I remember all of the other kids getting help. The teachers were patient and kind to them from what I remember. When it came to me asking for help I was shoved away. I remember the room being in the back, as you walk past the lunchroom. You walk in the doors and walk down a few steps to the lunchroom, if thats still the lunchroom and you walk to the left, around the lunchroom and there is a room in the back. I think they called it the yellow room back then but my memory is foggy, as its been 34 years. Thats the room where most of it happened. The pool was another story. I was ignored in the pool. I had an accident, busting my lip in the shallow end. The teachers ignored it but the lifeguard noticed and helped me. The lifeguard had long brown hair that was tied back in a ponytail. She seemed to be early 20s from what I remember. The lifeguard stand was by the wall, opposite end of where you walk out to get to the pool. Its been 34 years and my memory has faded some. I was 3 and 4, very little at the time but I still remember. I did not send my oldest to preschool due to being afraid it would happen to him. We will be possibly homeschooling due to me not trusting the school system due to my preschool years. Dont send your children here. No way in hell would I be sending my kids here. I have a few children now of preschool and elementary school age and this is one school I will not be sending to.

I can't speak for the older kids' rooms, but I do see how much Ms. Sabah and Mr. Nasir, the director and assistant director, seem to know every child who walks in the door and how they greet them with a smile. We also appreciate that they have flexible hours and not many days closed, good for our busy working schedules.

Pam really helped us understand the UPK program. The school has separate rooms for multiple age groups. Ours was in Bloomers. Ms. Ciara, Ms. Karina, and all of the other teachers really help the Pre-K group get ready for kindergarten. They have centers, movement, circle time (reading), show-and-tell, and outside time pretty much every day. They have very clean classrooms. Each of the students receives enough but not too much attention in order to encourage socialization, problem solving, and independence. The one area that some may find lacking is the playground. CLP doesn't have a huge, elaborate play structure like some preschools. While this may deter some, I think it has some benefits because a) your kids are not really going to remember the playground so much as their friends and b) they'll be much more creative in how they play with their friends. Finally, the check-in and message system they use is great. Check-in Is easily completed by scanning a QR code and you can assign others for pickup. The teachers post class and/or individual updates almost every day so that you can see a little bit of what they're learning and doing. They're also very responsive to messages that parents send through the app.
