Not only was I told 3 different start dates for my child, but they "lost" all of my child's confidential information along with pediatric records. On top of that we showed up for "first day" but was told classroom was "closed" so he needed to come back tomorrow. 7 hours later I then received a phone call telling me all of his information was lost and they had no record of him attending today (even though I made appointments and email trail that proved otherwise). And they could refund me because they already charged my card hundreds of dollars rather than the amount that was agreed soon signing paperwork... but wait I thought they didn't have my information? I was so scared sending my 3 year old to a learning center as he's only been at an in home center since birth. I've heard stories about other places and sometimes you just don't know until you go somewhere. I knew after the first day that my son was going to thrive there. Not only do they have such a great curriculum but the teachers all love the kids. I snuck a peak at my son after his first day through the window and he was all smiles. Little Sunshines of Broomfield significantly…read more misrepresented their program combined with a lack of communication regarding my son's enrollment at the Broomfield location has me scrambling in August to find a new program for him. When I toured the facility with Heather in April, she outlined a specific classroom, schedule, and program for my almost five-year-old. However, upon starting, he was placed in a different classroom with a mandatory one and a half to two-hour "quiet time," which I had explicitly stated would not work for him. While he was temporarily moved to the correct classroom for July, I was informed at the end of that month that the classroom would no longer be available full-time in August. This schedule change had reportedly been known since April but was never communicated to me. Furthermore, due to teacher call-outs, they again wanted to place my child in the classroom I had stated was not an option.  Heather previously indicated she would check with corporate regarding a refund after I pulled my son from the program. However, after a week of trying to reach her, I was informed when I stopped in person that a refund was denied because a "rotational class" was offered. This rotational program still requires him to return to the classroom for the two-hour nap time, which directly contradicts the promises made during my initial tour. They have also had numerous people leave in the month and a half we were there and Heather tried to blame the miscommunication on people that had left. However, she was the one who did the tour and the only one I ever talked to so the miscommunication was with her. There are so many options in this area, I highly suggest looking at one of those!

The owner, Mrs. Lynn, is really calm and so insightful. She teaches montessori and trains teachers in boulder. Her dad comes to the school to do the shoveling and gardening. He is a retired doctor and also helps check out the kids if they fall or have any problems. He is really fun to talk to and has some pretty hilarious stories!! It is out on the outskirts of town which is neat. Not a lot of traffic to get to. They also have pets and animals at the school. Drop offs are super easy. They come to your car. It makes the transition easier for the kids. You sign them in and out from your car (unless it's really cold or rainy). This was such a great find!!!! Update: 11/9/14 This school continues to surprise me. I have been helping out a little in my sons preschool classroom and I absolutely love the new teacher Mrs. Katie. She is wonderful with the little ones. I have also been shadowing the elementary teacher. And oh my goodness she is amazing. They are learning college level biology and 6th grade English in the lower level elementary. The elementary teacher mixes Montessori and Core education. She has over 30 years experience teaching. All the children out of the Kindergarten can read before first grade. The Kindergarten teacher is probably one of the best Montessori teachers in Colorado. She trains Montessori teachers in Boulder at MECR. Next week the kindergarten is doing the human body. They have a working heart model complete with chambers. The class ratio as of November is 4 to 1 elementary, 4 to 1 kindergarten, preschool is 10 to 1. i will be keeping my son here as long as possible.

Laura the director and Stacey the assistant director are wonderful. The directors are really what made me choose this center over others in the area. These people help their staff, students and parents (they don't just sit in an office all day). They actually know each child who attends their school which I did not get on any other tours we had with other preschools. My son (who is 3) has been at KinderCare for a few months and he is gaining a lot of new skills and learning. If you are just looking for playtime and daycare this may not be the place for you. We were looking for more of a preschool curriculum, and they have not disappointed. The teachers really care about teaching your child. They also have some really cool programs like Soccer Shots (which costs extra). My son gets to take soccer classes while he is in school. They also have a basketball group as well, but we just did soccer for now as he loves it. We currently attend 3 days a week (half days) so they offer a bit of flexibility with schedule (and this helped our budget as well). Meals (breakfast and lunch plus snacks) are included in tuition.
