Primrose School at the Denver Tech Center

Our family has been at Primrose DTC for four years. Compared to other daycares / schools we have experienced and seen, this facility stands out not only in the education we have experienced, but the personal touch and communication from ownership and administration. Rick (owner) and Ashley (Director) will continuously update parents of school happenings, illnesses, etc. Primrose also uses a Tadpoles app that lists the daily lesson plan, and provides details of activities the class is doing. My favorite is getting photos/videos added by the teachers throughout the day. Another nugget that always impresses me is families are greeted by name at the front desk, whether it's Rick, Ashley, or any of the front desk staff. How they can remember each child and parent's name is beyond me, but is a great touch.  We also have also noticed low teacher turnover of primary classroom teachers - we have seen so many familiar faces throughout our four years! When there is any movement that affects our child's classroom, we are notified via email very timely (again - great communication). The building and exterior are always clean and attended. You will also find Rick outside putting down ice melt, shoveling and even assisting to clear windshields in snow storms. The building is also secured well, which gives us added peace of mind. There are also many extra activities available that can be fit into the daily schedule to help give the children exposure - soccer, Tots (basketball) and dance are a few. During the summer, the school also provides "Splash days" for the kids to cool off once a week.  The only wish that we have is that the school would be expanded to include a kindergarten class.

While we would have loved to finish out our time with this school, we no longer had confidence in their wellbeing. My recommendation to all parents in their daycare search is to visit the Colorado Shines website.

The Director, Jennelle Kreishner, has provided us with everything we need and everything that Dylan needs. Dylan has a lot of special needs as he has a peanut allergy and is mildly autistic. He has done nothing but thrive at Great Escape. I highly recommend Great Escape for your pre-school child especially if you have two working parents who need a lot of flexibility in your child's care. Their prices are very reasonable, too!" - Phil R.

What I love most about Great Escape is that I believe the Directors truly love the kids. I have watched the directors make tough decisions and they have always done so in the best interest of the families. We are grateful for the way they handled COVID, ensuring that parents were a part of the re-opening decision and have taken the necessary precautions by making changes to ensure the safety and health of our children. I have referred friends and family members to them. The teachers also love my son. I originally chose Great Escape because they seemed to be the only place taking a September birthday at age one (part time). I am grateful for their care and flexibility. This summer they have had elementary care available too in which they have brought in special activities such as putt putt golf and oversized blocks for construction building contests.
