I cannot begin to describe how grateful we are; Laura has been so compassionate and caring to our two girls, I cannot recommend her enough. Laura provides kind, attentive, and affordable childcare in a safe, pleasant, and clean environment. I always knew my son was safe and happy in her care, and even though he was sad when I would leave, I always picked him up to see a huge smile on his face from getting to play and do learning activities all day. Never once did anything scary or concerning happen like I had experienced with other providers, and her in-home care gave my son (and me) the feeling of being cared for by a family member rather than dropping him off to a room of 20 kids with a constant turn over in staff. Another huge plus was that he was sick MUCH less often than in a larger daycare setting. Laura is fully licensed and follows all rules and guidelines to a T, and her care was also reimbursable through submitting receipts to my work's FSA (if you have an FSA option for healthcare). Having our son here has made me not question working full-time, because I know he is having a blast and getting to learn more than he could at home by also being able to develop socially with all his friends. I am sooooo thankful I found this treasure of a daycare. It's also a super convenient location being within a 2-minute walk from our pediatrician (and others if you choose). I will be sad to leave it, but know it will just open space for more families that need quality care for their child. BONUS: They also offer date nights once a month from 6-11pm where you only pay $20 for your child to be cared for and fed. Definitely a better deal than trying to find a babysitter!

My child no longer wanted to go there each morning, and a new administrator (that had just started working there a very short time ago) made it clear that she had no interest in getting to know or work with families, or in figuring out how to help children feel comfortable and succeed in their environment (or maybe she didn't have the skills or tools to actually know how to do this, but either way it was unacceptable). Administrative turnover is common (3 times in under 2 years). The director was better but now the place is not well run.) We've noticed that they are very efficient at billing you every week, and they make sure to charge you when you decide to leave the center. Make sure you inform them ahead of time, even though they bill you on a weekly basis. My child is now very happy in another school where we pay less. She loves her teacher, and she's eager to go to the new school next day right after we pull her out of New Horizon. So, please consider finding another care center!
