It is difficult to overstate the wonderful experience our child has had at New Horizon in Centennial. This is the place for every child to thrive and grow in a warm and loving environment. The teachers and Assistant Director, Carrie, are the best of the best. They care for our child like their own. There is never a bad moment or a disappointment in every day. The online portal allows us to see every meal, every activity, every nap. Pictures appear every day and we are able to share this experience in real time. You are paying a lot for mediocre care. The workers appear miserable. They have changed directors too many times, to the point where the school has had sickness circulating, and we were not informed about it at all. (The center was better before Covid. The director was better but now the place is not well run.) We've noticed that they are very efficient at billing you every week, and they make sure to charge you when you decide to leave the center. Make sure you inform them ahead of time, even though they bill you on a weekly basis. My child is now very happy in another school where we pay less. She loves her teacher, and she's eager to go to the new school next day right after we pull her out of New Horizon. So, please consider finding another care center! read more

Bottom line: We do NOT recommend New Horizon. Our experience at New Horizon Centennial in late 2022/early 2023 was characterized by a lack of attention to detail, very low level of care, lack of classroom management, and poor overall management (billing issues, etc.). We also found it to be cold and unwelcoming. The teachers we experienced largely seemed uninterested in their jobs. On multiple occasions, we would enter our child's classroom to find the teachers chatting together away from the children, or sitting on the floor or in a chair away from the children. Kids were often running around by themselves (crying and/or in states of undress) with seemingly little to no supervision or structure. In two months of care, we (parents and our child) were only welcomed by our child's teachers upon entering the classroom a handful of times. Mostly, we were ignored at drop off and pick up. The only bright spot were two staff members (non-teachers) that were warm, caring, and worked hard to fill in the gaps in care and attention for our child. We were immensely grateful for them. In terms of results/impact: our daughter lost skills academically and it was clear that her social/emotional needs weren't being met. Even after weeks of going to New Horizon, there would be crying at drop off and reluctance to be left. She learned a bunch bad habits that we never experienced at other care centers or after leaving. She would come home with red, painful diaper rashes because our requests to use diaper cream (which we provided) weren't being met. It got so bad one week that she was crying in pain every time her diaper was dirty, with every diaper change, and couldn't even get a bath without pain. On multiple occasions, it was clear her diapers weren't being changed frequently enough which also contributed to the development of her rashes. We left as soon as we could find a spot at another daycare. We're now paying hundreds of dollars less for amazing care at a different school where our child is finally back to learning and thriving. I know that finding daycare can be a challenge, but save your money and time, and avoid unnecessary distress by finding care elsewhere if you can! read more

We started bringing our son to New Horizons Centennial when he was three months old, in Sept 2021. We had a nightmarish experience - including being completely unable to reach the center director/assistant director on a regular basis (phones were never answered, emails often went unanswered), being double charged 3 weeks in a row, our son being extremely overfed on his first day (17oz in 4 hours when we provided instructions for 3oz every 2 hours), finding him left in a crib to cry it out when we picked him up early, and also seeing him being left in a bouncer in the corner of the room alone multiple times. This was also a pretty expensive daycare at $461/week. Luckily we got him out after about a month and into a much better center. We ended up getting a letter from the state of CO saying their license was being suspended due to child neglect (see photo attached). read more

I am highly considering enrolling my toddler because of my conversation with the daycare director, who was friendly, informative, and reassuring. The building appears modern, new, safe, and clean, and the staff seems committed to treating the children with the love and attention they need. It's very hard to find healthy and sustainable daycares in Denver. Although there are a few bad reviews here, I hope our experience is excellent. read more

So far we have had a few issues with New Horizon. To start with, our 10 month old son has come home multiple times with a diaper rash so severe that he's bleeding & screaming in pain when changing him (and we have asked multiple times to please use diaper rash cream every single change). One morning they were unable to find our diapers we left for our son, they take supplies out of your bag (which is fine) but with no communication, which leads to running to the store after work because we were not informed they took it out of our bags. One caretaker informed me that the other workers were giving our son too big of pieces of food & that is why he has choked or gagged on meals before (but that has not happened with her specifically). For paying $533 a week, you'd think these concerns would not be an issue. might i also add, when bringing up these concerns, the caretakers have no consideration & go around & say that i am "overreacting". how would you feel picking up your child every day and they're bleeding from diaper rash? We have had issues previously with getting double-charged in one week, & auto-pay is not reliable. i do not recommend new horizon to any families. read more

My daughter has been going to New Horizons since she was 1.5 years old and was one of the first kids in the new facility. We have been very impressed with the quality of care she receives, her progress with learning, and the communication from administration and in-class teachers. The hours of operation are great for working families, and all children receive meals onsite (which minimizes any parent prep time for meals). I love the photo and curriculum updates every day so I can engage with her about what she did. I feel comfortable knowing she's being well cared for. The precautions put in place for Covid have been impressive, although hard to engage individually with teachers, something that I enjoyed pre-pandemic and look forward to again in the future. I would recommend this center to anyone looking for a clean, updated, fun, and loving environment for your child. read more

New horizon is an amazing daycare. They are very friendly and make you feel comfortable. My daughter has been going here for a couple months and she loves it. She has learned so much and is always excited to go to "school" to play with her friends. They also have extra days where she plays soccer or have water days. They provide fresh meals for her and also allow her to move up to next class sometimes help her develop more. We will be really sad moving to the Stapleton location shortly because they have become like an extra family to us but highly recommend Bev and her team. read more

This is a new school my husband and I found. We moved our children to this school after the school in Highlands Ranch was not providing the care and education that was promised to us. New Horizons gives us a new hope on providing the love and care our children need. The director Bev greeted us with kindness, and it shows how much she cares about children and her school. The teachers are very interactive with us, and we can tell that our children love their new school. We definitely made the right move! read more

We started taking our son here when he was 11 months old (April 2019). We switched from another daycare that was very poor with their communication and that was SO difficult for us with an infant. NHA was a breath of fresh air. The staff is warm and friendly and I loved being able to drop-off my child without hoping nothing would go wrong. They all genuinely care about your child and want you to openly communicate your needs. The communication overall has been great with some minor hiccups (to be expected in a brand new facility)but anytime we have had a concern it gets heard and addressed. My son transitioned from the infant room to the toddler room and they made sure to do a slow transition. I love that there is no crib sharing and my son has been sick less often since starting here! The facility is beautiful with everything being very updated and extremely clean. I also greatly appreciate the security throughout the building (secure doors, fingerprint system, security cameras,etc.).There are also many activities available for every age group with multiple photos and activity descriptions posted throughout the day on the parent app. Highly recommend this daycare! read more
