"Robbinsville is a town in Graham County, North Carolina, United States. The population was 597 at the 2020 census." That's according to Wikipedia. According to me, someone who recently spent a weekend there, can confirm that Robbinsville is indeed a town that looks to be populated with less than 600 people. That being said, food options were not expected to be diverse and plentiful. However across the street from my hotel was a quaint home that was actually a restaurant. Willow Tree: a catering business that serves people for dinner on the weekend. Tired and hungry, I sauntered in and sunk into a very cushy chair in the entrance/waiting room as I waited for a take-out order. I ordered a ribeye and not only did the order came out quick, but the waitress offered me an actual steak knife to take back to the hotel for the meal! "You can return it tomorrow, we have plenty of them!" she cheerfully said. Nothing like Southern, small-town, hospitality. The meal was great. The ribeye was cooked to order and well seasoned, the Mac and Cheese really hit the spot, and the Pecan Pie was a perfect end to an all-around great hotel meal. If you ever find yourself in Robbinsville, you need to check this place out and who knows- it may make you want to become resident 598.

    Inside

After a cold ride home on the motorcycle in late October not many places were open and those that were closed soon. This included willow tree but it was open for slightly less than an hour so I decided I should go, listed on maps as "burger restaurant" I thought I'd put one down and go to bed with slightly more room left in my stomach. Anyways, this place is so so good. Chef is extremely talented. She's a chef and a half. Maybe like a chef and 7/8s. She's basically like two chefs cuz she's so good. I got the pork chop as per another customers suggestion. The chocolate cobbler was amazing I didn't even know it existed. If y'all are coming through here and need a meal, this is the fuckn place.

We had a wonderful dinner. Best advice is to check their Facebook page for the menu which is usually posted the day before Secondly, call and make a reservation it's a small place and usually busy during the dinner time While we did not partake of dessert I understand they are always wonderful

Took my wife and some friends here for my wife's birthday. The inside is charming and the food was excellent. Everything was cooked to perfection. Staff was great as well. I'd recommend reservations.

Paid for a $7 salad. Got charged $24 because of a $10 "share charge". Menu said share charge is only applied to Entrees.

Headed to a Smokies game, we chose to stop into SmashCity for a pregame burger…read more The service and burger came up quickly. I opted for the truffle smash and large fry. My buddy opted for the Spicy Smash. The burgers were mmmmmmmmmm mmmmmmmm great, Juicy and the bun held up. Fries were fresh and would like to see maybe a topping or poutine option for them. Cool spot to get some AC and great burger before a Smokies game or a night in the old City.

We already had 250 miles under our belt for the day. 4 more hours to home. I was sick of fast food…read moreand we were making good time so we decided to venture off the road, but just a little. SmashCity wasn't far off of the interstate, it had good ratings and although we'd been eating burgers and fries quite a bit on this roadtrip, a good burger and fries really sounded good. All of the reviews were right on - this was absolutely NOT fast food - it was fast, really fast, but the speed was just bonus. As we usually do, we split. We chose the Carolina BBQ smash. The burgers were juicy - if you're not careful, I guarantee you'll be wearing it. Two critiques, it definitely needed more sauce - I just added some of the SmashCity sauce from our fries and it worked but I really would have liked to have had more BBQ sauce. Second, the fried onions were quite burned. I pulled off most of them. The hand cut fries were piping hot, just the right amount of greasy and seasoned perfectly. Splitting the burger was a good call - I'd never have eaten the whole thing myself. The burger and fries were just over $20. When you consider a Big Mac meal at that clown place is $14, SmashCity is almost a bargain. Paul, the owner was like the energizer bunny - he was everywhere at once. Personality oozed from his pores. Make sure you tell him Sue said hi! (He won't remember me but just say hi anyway!) Now I wouldn't say SmashCity has the best burgers - that award goes to our friend Jerry. He makes a pretty mean smash burger on the blackstone. If you have an extra half hour, skip the fast food burger joints, get off that highway, and go let Paul fill your belly for the rest of your trip! You'll appreciate it!
