Alright, you might be looking at the lack of reviews, photos, and evidence that this place is good and worthy of the 5 stars I'm slappin on it but trust me... come to this place around lunch and you'll see all the locals of good ole Robbinsville swarmed around its humble little shack. If you want some savory, dense, and mouthwatering food THIS IS IT. I promise you (scouts honor) you will not regret it. The owners of this place sweet and take pride in what they do and they're damn good it. My husband and I get the hot mess and the brisket sandwich, but I guarantee anything you order will impress you. Go go go! :)

This was a great little spot to stop for lunch. We had passed it several times when heading out to ride and very glad we stopped. The brisket was very good!! We will definitely eat here again on another visit.

Tdubbs is only open from 11a to 2p so you need to plan for that. It was busy the entire time we were there, but the service was fast and the food was super yummy! The Philly Flatbread was my favorite. The bread was so soft and the sirloin was absolutely delicious!! Highly recommend!!

I have never eaten anything bad at this place. It's a small place, I mean if you blink you may miss it. It's to go orders and outside dining only. Open through the week 11-2. They have a in-house made Cheerwine BBQ sauce that is amazing and on-site cooked BBQ as well a variety of other American classics. Try the blackened Chicken on Flatbread with the Siracusa Ranch sauce. You won't be sorry.

Smoked wings are amazing! Simple place with excellent food! Don't let the roadside shack prevent you from eating here!

According to me, someone who recently spent a weekend there, can confirm that Robbinsville is indeed a town that looks to be populated with less than 600 people. That being said, food options were not expected to be diverse and plentiful. However across the street from my hotel was a quaint home that was actually a restaurant. Willow Tree: a catering business that serves people for dinner on the weekend. Tired and hungry, I sauntered in and sunk into a very cushy chair in the entrance/waiting room as I waited for a take-out order. I ordered a ribeye and not only did the order came out quick, but the waitress offered me an actual steak knife to take back to the hotel for the meal! "You can return it tomorrow, we have plenty of them!" she cheerfully said. Nothing like Southern, small-town, hospitality. The meal was great. The ribeye was cooked to order and well seasoned, the Mac and Cheese really hit the spot, and the Pecan Pie was a perfect end to an all-around great hotel meal. If you ever find yourself in Robbinsville, you need to check this place out and who knows- it may make you want to become resident 598.

The first time we went to Willow Tree we had the best young server and a great experience with their tasting menu. The tasting menu is gone, but the portions and options are still the same. There is a lack of good places to eat in Robbinsville so it is great to see the Willow Tree finding a new home a up and coming lodge. The trout dip and the fillet were our favorites items. If you get the ribeye, ask for the steak sauce on the side. There is just a lot of it, but it is good. I wish they were making their own Caesar dressing. The one they are using is fine but tasted jarred. Also ask for extra dressing. The grill on the Romain is great, but they aren't putting the dressing between the leaves. I do wish when they were building the lodge they but huge windows that took advantage of the view of the lake. This didn't change the food .

We intended to have breakfast after registering for events at Fontana Village; found ourselves driving back to Robbinsville as their restaurant didn't have enough staff to open. Headed down the mountain; my GF who is a diabetic went probably the lowest I've ever seen her go. Super close to passing out. We stopped and got candy out of the trunk, stopped again to steal my buddy's Dr. Pepper out his car behind us. Hit triple digits on the speedo to get her to more food! Once we arrived we escorted her in and got her sat down. Flagged the waitress down for an immediate food order. Sure enough, her plate came out of the kitchen lightning fast. Once she was munching we ordered drinks and the rest of the meals. I don't understand the negative reviews; any place that has homemade gravy like my late Granny's back in Texas is top notch in my books. Egg cooked to order; bacon requested soft was a no problem. Hashbrowns were decent. I seriously will skip the fast food options for another I'm coming back next year and I'm visiting again!

SmashCity wasn't far off of the interstate, it had good ratings and although we'd been eating burgers and fries quite a bit on this roadtrip, a good burger and fries really sounded good. All of the reviews were right on - this was absolutely NOT fast food - it was fast, really fast, but the speed was just bonus. As we usually do, we split. We chose the Carolina BBQ smash. The burgers were juicy - if you're not careful, I guarantee you'll be wearing it. Two critiques, it definitely needed more sauce - I just added some of the SmashCity sauce from our fries and it worked but I really would have liked to have had more BBQ sauce. Second, the fried onions were quite burned. I pulled off most of them. The hand cut fries were piping hot, just the right amount of greasy and seasoned perfectly. Splitting the burger was a good call - I'd never have eaten the whole thing myself. The burger and fries were just over $20. When you consider a Big Mac meal at that clown place is $14, SmashCity is almost a bargain. Paul, the owner was like the energizer bunny - he was everywhere at once. Personality oozed from his pores. Make sure you tell him Sue said hi! (He won't remember me but just say hi anyway!) Now I wouldn't say SmashCity has the best burgers - that award goes to our friend Jerry. He makes a pretty mean smash burger on the blackstone. If you have an extra half hour, skip the fast food burger joints, get off that highway, and go let Paul fill your belly for the rest of your trip! You'll appreciate it!
