This is a local bbq place located in Monteverde. Small and simple in decor and a small area outside to sit (one picnic table or two- 2 seater tables in the front). It's a small business and black owned which we loved as we are really looking to visit more local establishments and support minority owned businesses. My husband got the meal deal (2 meats and 2 sides). He got the ribs and chicken and for sides got the mac and cheese and the collard greens. The chicken was moist and you could taste the smoke flavoring in the chicken. The ribs are what we would refer to as catering ribs. They appeared to be boiled. Easy to eat off the bone but was lacking the smoke flavor we were looking for. I got the pulled pork sandwich with the baked beans as my side. The pulled pork really didn't have any flavor to it. I was expecting a little smoke or seasoning and got nothing. They have two sauces, a traditional bbq (on the sweeter side) and a Carolina style. I like the sauce on the pulled pork sandwich as it gave it a little more flavor. The baked beans were traditional and nothing more. Parking is limited but there is additional parking along the side by black bear kitchen. The staff at Willie's truly understand what hospitality means and are all very knowledgeable and truly cares about their customers experience.

This is a small place that you must try. They were so busy, people were getting food to go, calling in orders and a few dined in. Parking lots holds maybe 5 cars so we parked on the side of the black bear. I got the 1/4 chicken and it was the best I've had since I was a kid and dad grilled chicken. The potato salad was ok. Drinks are in a can or bottled water. Prices are unbelievable low. We met Willie himself, he was so nice. Love to support a small business.

Willie's BBQ has been highly recommended by the people of Clermont, and I'll say that now that I've tried it, I won't be going anywhere else for BBQ. This little hole in the wall stop is as good as it gets! The food is so fresh and savory, the meats are smoked to perfection, and the sides are tended to with the care they deserve rather than being an afterthought. The prices are a breath of fresh air in this economy and the service is top notch. Everyone that works at Willie's is so friendly and always happy to offer a suggestion. They're only open on weekends, and seating is limited, but our family loves to get takeout and walk over to the little park around the block to enjoy a picnic. This is such a great hidden gem in Montverde!

I loved Mr Willie's Grill. I can not recommend this place enough. They are located in Montverde and only open on Friday and Saturday from 11 am to 7 pm. It's a tiny restaurant filled with so many odds and ends and this and that's. It is also filled with tons of gracious southern hospitality and delicious food. You can taste the love and definitely feel welcomed as if you were a family member. My oldest daughter and I stopped by on their one year anniversary. We ordered a chicken and ribs combo meal. It came with two side so we picked the baked beans and collards. The collards were nicely seasoned and cooked perfectly. The chicken and ribs were so moist and tender. I immediately preferred their BBQ over all of the others that I have visited before. They added peach cobbler to their menu this week. It was delicious. The spices were smooth and warm. They enhanced the other ingredients and left me wanting more. I will be back often.

Oh my word!! People say Florida isn't really part of the south, but stop here and you'll change your mind! This southern bbq joint is clean, quaint and the family running it couldn't be sweeter. They are only open on Fri and Saturdays starting at 11-7. This place is a must! ! Try the pulled pork sandwich, which melts in your mouth, for $5.95 with two sides. Mac n cheese and potato salad are my jam. We were able to sample the ribs which were fall off the bone goood. And to top it off, the owner's daughter is a health inspector! You will be a repeat customer. We're already looking forward to our next visit.

The tacos did not disappoint. The meat was seasoned and cooked nicely. The tacos were flavorful. My husband had the hamburger and he said that it was good. The collards would be better if cooked with some smokey meat and pepper vinegar. We had excellent service from start to finish. The restaurant has indoor and outdoor seating. Two different rooms you can sit in. The only downside was the noise level. Between the volume of the music and the people playing connect four outside it was a little loud. I will keep Black Bear Kitchen on my list to visit again.

It was good and had good flavor. The brisket actually tasted like roast beef instead of smoked brisket... We were just expecting more of a brisket taste instead. We both loved the other ingredients on the tacos and thought it was an excellent choice. We thought about eating outside but while I was sitting there waiting for my wife to come back out with our lunch I noticed the music coming from the Black Bear was competing with the Tap Room business outdoor seating area speakers as well. Both were loud and playing two different songs and different genres! Very annoying and not enjoyable for outside seating. At least be playing the same music! We decided to eat inside instead. Restaurant was clean.

The staff was super friendly, which I appreciated. I got the brisket sandwich, and while the flavor was good overall, some of the brisket was on the fatty side. I also felt like the sandwich needed more barbecue sauce because it came across a little dry/lacking without it. The sweet tea and lemonade were really good and were probably my favorite part of the visit. The sides were okay, but nothing really stood out. Overall, the service was great and the drinks were solid, but the food didn't quite hit the way I was hoping. I wouldn't completely write it off, but based on this visit, it probably wouldn't be my first pick in the food hall.

I'll definitely be back for the bbq here, but I do feel they're a little overpriced (a common sentiment for me at plant at market). You can bet I won't be ordering grits again though.

I judge a bbq place by not just the meat by its collard greens and OMG 10 out of 10! I got the 2 meats plate with a side. The brisket and pulled pork (which you have the option of getting lean or moist), was delicious. It really was cooked to perfection.
