This is a local bbq place located in Monteverde. Small and simple in decor and a small area outside to sit (one picnic table or two- 2 seater tables in the front). It's a small business and black owned which we loved as we are really looking to visit more local establishments and support minority owned businesses. My husband got the meal deal (2 meats and 2 sides). He got the ribs and chicken and for sides got the mac and cheese and the collard greens. The chicken was moist and you could taste the smoke flavoring in the chicken. The ribs are what we would refer to as catering ribs. They appeared to be boiled. Easy to eat off the bone but was lacking the smoke flavor we were looking for. I got the pulled pork sandwich with the baked beans as my side. The pulled pork really didn't have any flavor to it. I was expecting a little smoke or seasoning and got nothing. They have two sauces, a traditional bbq (on the sweeter side) and a Carolina style. I like the sauce on the pulled pork sandwich as it gave it a little more flavor. The baked beans were traditional and nothing more. Parking is limited but there is additional parking along the side by black bear kitchen. The staff at Willie's truly understand what hospitality means and are all very knowledgeable and truly cares about their customers experience.

This is a small place that you must try. They were so busy, people were getting food to go, calling in orders and a few dined in. Parking lots holds maybe 5 cars so we parked on the side of the black bear. I got the 1/4 chicken and it was the best I've had since I was a kid and dad grilled chicken. The potato salad was ok. Drinks are in a can or bottled water. Prices are unbelievable low. We met Willie himself, he was so nice. Love to support a small business.

Willie's BBQ has been highly recommended by the people of Clermont, and I'll say that now that I've tried it, I won't be going anywhere else for BBQ. This little hole in the wall stop is as good as it gets! The food is so fresh and savory, the meats are smoked to perfection, and the sides are tended to with the care they deserve rather than being an afterthought. The prices are a breath of fresh air in this economy and the service is top notch. Everyone that works at Willie's is so friendly and always happy to offer a suggestion. They're only open on weekends, and seating is limited, but our family loves to get takeout and walk over to the little park around the block to enjoy a picnic. This is such a great hidden gem in Montverde!

I loved Mr Willie's Grill. I can not recommend this place enough. They are located in Montverde and only open on Friday and Saturday from 11 am to 7 pm. It's a tiny restaurant filled with so many odds and ends and this and that's. It is also filled with tons of gracious southern hospitality and delicious food. You can taste the love and definitely feel welcomed as if you were a family member. My oldest daughter and I stopped by on their one year anniversary. We ordered a chicken and ribs combo meal. It came with two side so we picked the baked beans and collards. The collards were nicely seasoned and cooked perfectly. The chicken and ribs were so moist and tender. I immediately preferred their BBQ over all of the others that I have visited before. They added peach cobbler to their menu this week. It was delicious. The spices were smooth and warm. They enhanced the other ingredients and left me wanting more. I will be back often.

Oh my word!! People say Florida isn't really part of the south, but stop here and you'll change your mind! This southern bbq joint is clean, quaint and the family running it couldn't be sweeter. They are only open on Fri and Saturdays starting at 11-7. This place is a must! ! Try the pulled pork sandwich, which melts in your mouth, for $5.95 with two sides. Mac n cheese and potato salad are my jam. We were able to sample the ribs which were fall off the bone goood. And to top it off, the owner's daughter is a health inspector! You will be a repeat customer. We're already looking forward to our next visit.

Food and service is amazing. This place never disappoints when craving BBQ. The BBQ sauce on the pull pork is the way to go,

The tacos did not disappoint. The meat was seasoned and cooked nicely. The tacos were flavorful. My husband had the hamburger and he said that it was good. You can get two sides and a drink for an additional $6.50. Which makes it perfect for sharing. We picked potato salad and collard greens. The collards would be better if cooked with some smokey meat and pepper vinegar. We had excellent service from start to finish. The restaurant has indoor and outdoor seating. Two different rooms you can sit in. The only downside was the noise level. Between the volume of the music and the people playing connect four outside it was a little loud. I will keep Black Bear Kitchen on my list to visit again.

It was good and had good flavor. The brisket actually tasted like roast beef instead of smoked brisket... We were just expecting more of a brisket taste instead. We both loved the other ingredients on the tacos and thought it was an excellent choice. We thought about eating outside but while I was sitting there waiting for my wife to come back out with our lunch I noticed the music coming from the Black Bear was competing with the Tap Room business outdoor seating area speakers as well. Both were loud and playing two different songs and different genres! Very annoying and not enjoyable for outside seating. At least be playing the same music! We decided to eat inside instead. Restaurant was clean.

Nothing great or authentic about much of the menu Service: Young waitress that was fairly conversed on the menu but really needed mentoring and no manager was in site. For example, brought us a beer and the serving glass was chipped (noticed after the beer was poured). Instead of offering a new beer she said "this happens once in awhile and brought a new glass but ignored the obvious issue. On another front : They had 2 beer choices and she said one was dark but when it came it was just a regular lager in a green bottle(hence the dark). This is not her fault it's inattentive management. Atmosphere: Modern and sparse and pretty dirty. Tables were not properly cleaned and the menus were sticky. Price/Value: Average pricing for what was offered but not a great value. They also charge a 3% credit card fee (absolute nonsense). Will not be going back.

The food tasted good, I had no problem with the flavors, even with my wife being from Texas. My biggest thing is the pricing. Every other barbecue place I know price is per pound. The reason why we went was because the flavor was good, so if you're looking for a good tasting barbecue, I would recommend it. Unfortunately, for the price, it's on the higher end, compared to other places in town.

Once at a table, we were promptly greeted by our server and we put in an order for the sweet potato poutine, and while fantastic, my partner and I both commented that we wished there was more of a layering effort for the poutine in order to have the toppings more spread out instead of just on top. I got the espresso bourbon glazed filet, from the seasonal menu, my partner got the lobster grilled cheese with a side of the 6 cheese Mac and cheese, because that was the other item they really wanted to try, so it was a fantastic option to have as part of the premium sides. my filet was fantastic, I was super pleased with the temperature of my steak, as well as the flavors present, and the sides were cooked to perfection. My partner's lobster grilled cheese was great as well, it was disappearing so quickly I had to remind them to let me have a bite (they had stolen a bite of my filet as well... fair's fair, right?). I can also see why the 6 cheese Mac and cheese continues to be a crowd favorite, as the many cheeses used are well balanced to pack a lot of flavor. We visited on a fairly cold day, so though the outside had some heaters on, no one appeared to be sitting out there until the entire dining room was full, and quite a few came inside to stand at the bar and "warm up" for a few minutes, which was understandable. Service was top notch, food was delicious, and ambiance was exactly what I wanted out of a good gastropub. Can't wait to return
