Gallos is a great. They have a great atmosphere and very a friendly staff. You can place orders online, at the counter, drive through or on their kiosk in the lobby. They have a lot of lunch/dinner options. I ordered the 1/4 chicken with rice and beans and maduros (fried yellow plantain) . The rotisserie chicken was amazing. The rice and beans were very tasty and the maduros were wonderful. The portions are very generous and their prices are very reasonable. read more

Delicious lomo saltado even arriving via Uber Eats from Apopka to Downtown Orlando! Was craving this dish and so tired from work, didn't want to drive anywhere to pick it up. They had this dish on BOGO on Uber Eats so I felt like it was a sign. It arrived early and still pretty warm so I was happy about that but even happier when I tasted it! The steak was super tender and swimming in lots of that tasty sauce which wasn't too salty. I got mine with rice and black beans which I didn't take a picture of because everyone knows what that looks like lol. Both of the sides were fine. Nothing out of the ordinary. I would totally get this again when craving lomo saltado and if I'm ever in the area of Apopka I will definitely go! If not, I'll be happy to order via Uber Eats again, especially if it's still a BOGO. read more

This is a great place to dine at if you want a filling meal. The flavors are great in these dishes. We got the tostones to start with, and they were fresh, very hot. But delicious. We get the cilantro sauce to dip with for them. I got the steak bowl. It has rice, beans, and steak. The steak was pan fried and really good flavor. I got chimichurri sauce to put on top. They have really delicious chimichurri sauce here. My husband got the chicken platter. The plantains were sweet, crispy, and soft. The chicken has great seasoning on it. He added the cilantro sauce on top. Couples really well with the chicken. Overall, we enjoy this place! Glad to have them just a few minutes away from where we live! read more

Okay...you can't beat the rotisserie chicken! I had to downgrade last time when I tried other dishes. The rotisserie chicken (9.5 out of 10) is about as good as you can find! read more

Since we wished to share some tasty neighborhood food at a place we like, Gallo's became our first suggested choice. We have never been disappointed--whether we have been alone or with a group or served their food at an Apopka VFW dinner show. Not only is the food to our liking, but the portions and prices match excellence. Ordering at the counter allows fast delivery, but you are not forgotten after that. Someone always checks to make sure you are enjoying everything or need something else. It's also common for a manager to visit your table, too. Guests become more like family than simply visitors. Soon, there will be a location in Winter Park, but it's a tribute to Apopka--lucky to be the first location. read more

I was absolutely starving. So myself and my partner decided to just head to any restaurant just to grab some food. I decided to get the rice, black beans and quarter chicken and it was delicious. Marinated and seasoned to perfection along with the three sauces that they gave me to try out. Only two of them which was the white sauce and the green sauce as well, and it was delicious. I'm sure I can get the same meal at many different places so I wouldn't necessarily come back. But I must say for what they did have here. It was really really delicious. read more

Such a great addition to the Apopka area! We've been coming here since day one! Their lunch special after the gym has been perfect for us! Gallos Pollo & Grill - Chicken, Rice & Beans, Plantains, Cornbread - Chicken Shop Near Me - Apopka, Florida

So happy this restaurant opened their doors. Roast Latin chicken is a treat. I ordered the 1/2 chicken special, No. 2 for $10.99. Chicken, maduros, beans & rice add a drink lunch under $15. The chicken is moist and flavorful. I requested garlic cilantro and garlic sauce to enjoy with my chicken great adds. Can you say YUM! The plantains are perfect. Other places they are mushy, Gallos they are sweet but retain a small bite. The have some really good seasoning, don't taste like they're canned like other like places. The best part of the experience of dining here is the service. THEY CARE. Though you order at the counter they come by your table and check on you. Gallo's does it right. Thank you for a great lunch experience. I will most def return. read more

The steak with fried rice bowl was ok, but a little blah on flavor even with a couple containers of cilantro sauce added. Definitely over priced and not as appealing g as pictured on the menu. Temperature indoors is cold enough to freeze a fresh baked pie in a manor of a few minutes. The employees are friendly and dinning room is reasonably clean. Started by sitting outside on the patio but the roar of the DANCING FAN PEOPLE was deafening. read more

Wow! Just Wow! 1. I challenge anyone to find a cleaner restaurant and friendlier employees! 2. Fried Yucca, spot on. 3. Sweet plantains, spot on. 4. Steak/shrimp fried rice bowl, very flavorful. Shrimp a little shrimpy though. 5. White rice and black beans, spot on. 6. Tres Leches, not overly sweet, best I have ever had. 7. Corn Bread.........was told it is better than the tres leches. IT WAS! I promised myself I will actually try the chicken next visit! And of course get the tres leches and cornbread!! Bravo, Gallo! Bravo! read more

Gallos Pollo & Grill - Great Food! - Chicken Shop Near Me - Apopka, Florida

The owners treat the customers really well! I wish I had asked the girl who came and checked on us what her name was because her customer service was really great. She came to the table and asked if we'd like some hot tortillas to go with the pork. Brought them over as a courtesy. She seemed genuinely happy. When I see people like that I can only imagine that they have great management, as it kind of trickles down. I've never been disappointed with the chicken or pork, and we've ordered from them about 5 times so far. The only thing I would absolutely love is if they offered lentils or brown rice for people who can't eat white rice as a starch. They do have steamed veggies as a side (which I ordered today to replace my white rice) and that was a great choice. The pizza place unfortunately didn't make it in this spot, but I sincerely hope Gallo does read more

I love this place. The food is soooo good. Tbh, I only get the half chicken dish with rice and beans, but the rice is garlic rice (amazing!) and the chicken is so full of flavor. The spicy garlic sauce takes the meal to another level dimension. In addition, the people are friendly and the service is quick. The only complaint I have is that the bowls lack enough protein. read more

So good! We just tried Gallo's and loved it. I had the chicken with fried rice and my husband had the steak with white rice and black beans. I thought the beans tasted straight from the can. The "must-try" cornbread for an extra $.79 was 1-bite big. That's good news though, as I didn't find it sweet enough. The 1/4 chicken was good, but felt average. If anything, a bit dry. The cilantro sauce is a perfect 10! read more

Me and my husband love their bowls! And you can't beat the prices. Staff is super friendly and helpful. And the dining area is clean.

5 Stars - Highly Recommended! Gallos Pollo & Grill is hands down one of the best spots I've been to! The food is absolutely delicious--authentic, flavorful, and super affordable. We tried several meals from their menu (like the 1/4 and 1/2 Rotisserie Chicken and the Lomo Saltado), and everything came out fresh and perfectly cooked. You get generous portions of rice, beans, plantains, and more--amazing value for the price! The place is always clean and well-kept, which makes the dining experience even better. What truly makes this place stand out is the staff. Every time we visit, the employees are friendly, helpful, and welcoming. The manager especially goes above and beyond to make you feel right at home. Their hospitality keeps us coming back again and again! If you haven't been here yet, do yourself a favor and check it out. You'll love it! read more

Awesome addition to the wekiva Apopka neighborhood at the location of the NYPD Pizza. A family owned restaurant chain of six locations with this being the first in central Florida. Excellent service and better food. Had healthy portions with the chicken and pork dinners with sides. Corn bread and flan. First class all the way, clean, friendly and amazing. Met one of the owners who was so nice and appreciative of my presence. Will be back to try the many other menu items. read more

This was my first time visiting Gallo's Pollo & Grill, and I stopped in for dinner. I had the half rotisserie chicken meal with rice, black beans, and cornbread. The chicken was absolutely delicious -- moist, tender, and falling off the bone. The rice and beans were cooked perfectly and packed with flavor. There were plenty of choices on the menu, and the prices were very reasonable. The dining area was clean and well-kept, which added to the overall positive experience. The manager came out and talked to all the customers. I had a great meal and will definitely be back! read more

The food is excellent, Service is perfect. The desserts are an excellent way to finish your dinner.

Have been here (drive thru) several times. We love their food and friendly, patient customer service. Their chicken is especially good, delicious and moist, and all sides are yummy. Roasted garlic potatoes are addicting. I tried their cornbread the last time and it was the best: moist (not crumbly) and delicious..... I'm not a fan of cornbread but I would def get this again. Prices are reasonable for the quality and amount of food per order. We lamented when Long John Silvers left this place but are def happier with Gallo's. read more

I have eaten here to Ice and had a good experience both times. Hospitality is great and the food equally as good.
