I revisited since I was in the area and wanted something quick. I ordered mild sandwiche again since he said it does have spicyness in it and totally forgot about what I ordered last time. And yup this time it did have a TING. Oh yea it was good and freshly made too! Loved the sweet cabbage they add to it. I don't know why or what happen last time maybe they or I confused the order since there's like 5 levels to the flavor and my kiddos had ordered too so could of gotten easily confused. Anyway def felt the flavor this time so need to update my review stars - Yum yum!
Our new favorite hot chicken place! It's been cold these past few weeks, and Jam Hot Chicken was the perfect thing to warm us up. We got the tenders (mild) and the sando (hot), with some fries and cheese fries. Everything was so good! I'm just a casual enjoyer of spice, so mild was perfect for me; my husband is a spice fiend and said he'd go Jam Hot next time. Portions were generous! The three tenders were huge. I loved the breading on the chicken and how it didn't just fall off when the chicken was bitten into. Highly recommend!
Came in around 11am and grabbed a chicken Caesar wrap at the hot heat level. The wrap was bold, flavorful, and exactly what I was craving. Love that you can pick your heat level based on your tolerance to spice. Paired it with a Diet Coke on the patio and it was the perfect casual lunch. By noon, a line had already formed and got busy, so would recommend coming early, if you can!
Hot chicken in Winter Park? Whoulda thunk?! This is an order at the window and sit outside at one of their four picnic tables kind of vibe. The line was pretty long for a weekday lunch which was all the reassurance I needed. As I mentioned, order at the window and be prepared to wait a bit. At least we did-- from the moment we stepped in line until we sat with our food in hand it was over 40 minutes. I will say, everything was fresh and made to order but holy wait. Now to the food-- I like to think I can handle some spice but their mild humbled me real quick. So if you're uncertain I'd suggest ordering down a spice to be safe. The portions are massive. Even the tenders were large in size. And a bit pricey given no sides nor drinks are included. I did appreciate the free water jug on the side. $16 for the chicken sandwich and $13 for the tenders. $4 fries and $3 for a drink. Our bill quickly racked up for what I was expecting as a casual lunch. Parking is available along the street or in the back. Definitely worth a try.
JAM Hot Chicken is conveniently located in Hannibal Square in a beautiful store front. It is popular so expect a line. Fortunately, I went on a rainy day so there was only one customer in front of me yet the wait was longer than I expected. The staff nice and there are spots to sit and wait. The food is usually consistently amazing, but this time I thought the food was just okay, so hopefully this is just a one-off.
Jam Hot Chicken is a small hole in the wall spot that is worth checking out. The chicken is super flavorful, juicy, and packed with seasoning. Just a heads up even the mild has a pretty good kick to it, so be mindful if you're sensitive to spice. The heat is worth it though because the flavor is so good. Great spot if you love spicy chicken with bold flavor!
Finally got to enjoy lunch here. Cutie little place with pick up window only. Picnic tables nearby or bring it to the park! I got the chicken sandwich and was pleasantly surprised by the size ! Got mild but it def had heat to it Thursday afternoon around lunch, did have to wait a bit. Had some drinks and perf weather to enjoy. Definitely worth a visit if you haven't already
Wanted to try this chicken place for the longest and since I was in the winter park area decided to stop here for lunch! Got the Sando mild and even that level had a kick to it and I don't really do spicy but it's ginormous sandwich and filing and it was good. If you guys like spicy they have different levels of spice you can choose from just expect a wait since it was like one person working there.
Went recently after a pilates event in the area. Food was hot and fresh and love the coleslaw to balance out the heaviness of the chicken! I like to get medium spice but it definitely is spicy. Service is quick and easy as you order at the window and grab your order.
Happiness overload is happening right now as I eat this sandwich it's sooo soooooo sooooo yummy and full of so many different flavors! Like a little bit of heat not enough honey a little zest like I am so happy right now .. yes I am aware I sound like a totally big back and that's okay cause this sandwich is amazing
My second time coming here and I have been looking forward to it! This is my favorite hot chicken spot in Orlando. The restaurant is a walk up window where your order is placed. There is outdoor seating or you can take it to go. There are some covered and some uncovered spots to sit. They have a water refill station by the ordering window. After ordering, the food is freshly prepared. I love getting The Box as you have at little bit of everything in one! I will be back soon!
Keeping it hot is exactly what they are doing here in each and every way! While this might be some of the best hot chicken I ever found it wasn't so over the top hot that it wasn't enjoyable as it was just right and this is coming from someone who can handle their heat. Of the different levels of hot I went for the second to last as I've always found that the top level in most places is just hot and not enjoyable don't get me wrong as the level I got was hot but it was just perfect to the point of where it hit the spot! The chicken was perfectly crunchy and full of flavor I found that with the heat being at the level it was at the side cup of those delicious pickles was just right to cool it down a bit as while hot is good you definitely need to find a balance and those pickles did just that for me! Their ranch and sauce was super tasty and definitely added more zest to some already yummy chicken so do yourself a favor and order an extra one you'll be happy you did! The hot fries we ordered were interesting like they weren't the best thing we had today but they were still good and in the future id just skip out on those as the chicken portion is more than enough for anyone as the pieces are huge! Their location is pretty much a hole in the wall window with a few tables outside so definitely plan accordingly as we all know how the Florida weather can be! Overall super yummy hot and spicy crispy and delicious this really is some of the best hot chicken out there so do yourself a favor and always keep it hot!
My friend who is from Orlando was raving about this place so I decided to try something. It did not disappoint!! The chicken was so juicy & tender. They have all different spice flavors. For myself since I don't like spicy I got the plain option & it was perfect! The chicken tenders were huge & cooked to perfection. The special dipping sauce added even more. So happy I checked this place out!

Had such a great lunch here today! Had my pup with me after dog training and wanted to grab food at a spot with outdoor space. This restaurant is perfect since it is a walk up window to order and several tables outside to sit and eat out to enjoy Hannibal Square. I got here around 11:15am after they opened at 11am. The guy who took our order was extremely helpful explaining the menu and the heat levels of the chicken. I got the 6th Man Wrap with plain chicken and my boyfriend got the 3 tenders and fries. We waited maybe 10 minutes for the food since we got their early. My wrap was PACKED with chicken and really flavorful. I enjoyed the slaw inside and the chicken itself had good crispiness to it. I did wish the wrap was a tad saucier. My boyfriend enjoyed the tenders. 1 order of fries came with alot and plenty to share between 2 people. We ended up getting a to-go box for half my wrap, a tender, and some fries. The food is definitely plentiful and worth the cost. I really liked the location, service, and quality of the food. I plan on coming back real soon! read more
Jam Hot chicken is definitely worth checking out if you're in the Winter Park area and into Nashville style heat. I ordered their chicken sando, which came topped with slaw, pickles and their house sauce. I liked that they have 5 different levels of heat to choose from so you really are able to customize the spice to your tolerance. The chicks itself was juicy, crispy, and packed with flavor as all the toppings balanced it out nicely. The price did feel a bit steep for $16 for a sandwich with no side included. It is definitely a large sandwich so you will not be leaving hungry. I do think a side or slightly lower price point would make it a better value. Overall solid food and great flavor. read more
This is just a little hole in the wall on the corner, outdoor seating only. You walk up to a window to place your order and pay, and then they call your name when your food is ready over a speaker. The food was ready super quick. I got the box with hot chicken.... The hot is no joke! Great spice level but not too too much. Really good stuff. The box was PACKED. the fries were perfectly crispy, the coleslaw was tangy, the pickles were the perfect reprieve from the spice. Perfection. Will be back! read more

Food: the chicken was crispy and moist. The Sando was huge so it was hard to get a bit of the chicken with the slaw. The tenders sounded crispy and my husband enjoyed them. Myself- I am not the best with spicy food and this spicy wanted to live in my mouth rent free. It sticks with you for awhile. Husband says he probably can't go higher than a 3. Service: very friend and food came out fast. They don't have ice and all drinks are bottle. Bring your own drinks if you want. Ambiance: it's a takeout place and has like 5 picnic tables to eat at. read more
JAM Hot has got to be one of the BEST fried chicken in Orlando! We visited when they first opened and we're not disappointed. For food we just shared a fried chicken sandwich with medium spice, side of homemade pickles and crinkle fries. Their medium definitely pacts a kick! We visited again recently to try the collab with Mandalina. Okay this Mandalina sandwich was a little pricey, $18 but WOW it was so tasty! It's big enough to share, and very filling. The sandwich is topped with hot dip, shawarma seasoning, harissa spread, cucumber, tomato and mint salad. Also the sandwich comes with a massive size chicken cutlet! They changed their fries here since we last visited, they are now shoestring ones (which I prefer) but the crinkle ones kinda go with the fried chicken vibe. Love Jam Hot Chicken, it's a must if you're looking for some spicy chicken!! read more

I'm torn on the ratings I know the name says it all JAM hot and they do live up to that name. We had gotten the mild and it was not mild at all. I can do spice I think siracha and tobasco is not spicy at all but the mild made our mouths on fire. The service was good for the 5 minutes it took to take our order and give us our order. It is walkup service, they have an option for eating it there as they had a couple of picnic tables outside. We didn't know what to expect when pulling up there. Would we go back umm I wouldn't go out of my way but if we were in the area I would. It was kind of pricey but the fries you could definitely share with someone. I would give it 3.5 stars but since that isn't an option I will give it 4 read more
It's hard to talk about Winter Park with locals and not have this place suggested. Prior to this visit, I had their tenders once at a Yelp event, so this was my first time actually visiting JAM Hot Chicken. We ordered The Sando to split between the two of us. It was a huge sandwich first of all, but more importantly SO DELICIOUS. Bread was perfectly soft and buttery, chicken was thick, juicy and the breading was so light and crispy without being soggy or oily (very impressive). Spice level was just right for us (we picked 1.75) and the slaw/pickle dressings provided a cool sweetness to balance out the savory heat. Obviously there are many sit down restaurants in the area, however if you're looking for casual/quick service JAM Hot Chicken should be a place you consider stopping at. Staff were warm and welcoming. Seating is all outdoor with a walk up window for ordering. A variety of sides and drinks are also available. We will definitely be back! read more
The chicken is juicy but lacked flavor. I would think dunked tenders would have more seasoning. Fries also lack seasoning as well as cole slaw (with ranch). Other than chicken, it's pretty overpriced. The spot is super cute tho read more

A love Jam Hot Chicken! So much so, I forgot to take pics of my food haha. I ordered a 3 piece mild tender and an order of the hot fries. I love that the mild tender still had good heat and the portion size is huge! It came with 3 large tenders, two pieces of white bread, pickles, and sauce. I'm obsessed with their come back sauce! The hot fries are solid and have a good depth of flavor. This is by far my favorite chicken place. The courtyard has great music and the staff are very friendly. It's a great vibe and great food! read more

SERVICE: 5 FOOD QUALITY: 5 DRINK QUALITY: 5 ORDER TIME: 5 AESTHETICS: 5 NOISE LEVEL: 5 MENU SELECTION: 5 OVERALL EXPERIENCE: 5 This adorable corner stand is so simple, but they have such an amazing product. With only outdoor seating in a cozy corner, in winter springs, it's the perfect spot for an afternoon lunch. All the staff are super helpful and really seem to love working. The chicken sandwich is absolutely superb. The slaw is fresh, the chicken is juicy, and bun is toasted to perfection. No chicken sandwich is complete without good fries, and these are text book definition of perfect. I got mine with the spicy sauce, but be warned, they are super hot. To combat the heat I got a milkshake which was the perfect cherry on top. (They also serve beer)!!! Overall, this place is a must try if you love chicken sandwiches or even just chicken. I envy everyone who lives in winter spring, and has access to this gem at a walk/short drive notice. read more

Best spicy chicken sandwich in Orlando! The pickles, slaw, and sauces are homemade ! They are always cooking up amazing collaborations with other local businesses. Recently they had a collab with a BBQ place that was super popular. Located in Hannibal Square the outdoor vibes are super cute and aesthetically pleasing. While I went in person on an event day and the line was LONG, they kept the orders coming out at a reasonable pace. I love that their NA drinks are mostly priced around $3 which I find very fair and reasonable. As someone who enjoys some spice, I usually order the Mild sauce and it's more than enough! They have a free water jug on the counter if that gives you an indication abt how hot their sauces can be. Prices are reasonable given the high quality of the food. I don't mind paying for food that's actually GOOD, it's when I'm paying $16 for a subpar chk sandwich then I get annoyed...no worries here though because the food is fire! Try the comeback sauce and house made ranch! So delicious! read more

Man! This place is tasty. Just beware: THEY MEAN HOT. I literally got a mix of mild with like a no-spice sauce and it was perfect. My husband got medium and I could tell he was struggling even though he loves hot stuff. Would definitely go again, especially if I'm nearby and have some time. The downside: It takes a while. Don't go here if you're in a hurry. We sat on a bench nearby and waited for our order. With no indoor seating, this is definitely a "weather-permitting" kind of place. There is also no dedicated parking, but there is usually street parking nearby, or there are parking lots about half a mile away. read more

This is a great lunch spot. They warn you about their spice level when you order and you would be well advised to heed the warning. However, be advised that you will be eating this in your car or outdoors. There is plenty of street parking near the order window but you may have difficulty finding a place to sit on a busy afternoon. I went for a lunch outing and it was slightly pricey for a chicken sandwich and fries. The product was delicious. I got the mild and it was giving me a little sweat. I plan to eventually go back and get the hotter option. The service was fair given they cook each order at the time of order but I probably wouldn't want to go on a busy day. The location is a quiet place but probably not ideal for a large group given the outdoor seating and Florida weather. The portions also are pretty fair for the price given as you get enough fries to share and the chicken sandwich I received was massive. read more

The mild chicken box is soooo good. It's a large portion so I recommend getting the coleslaw that comes on top of it usually, to get it on the side instead so you can reheat it for a second meal later! read more

I totally misjudged their definition of hot. I opted to go with I like it hot, which is the third level and it was hot. It was hotter than I like. The sandwich still tasted great, and was huge. The coleslaw and the bun helped with the heat and the french fries also assisted. I was amazed at the size of the order of fries that came with it and then thankful for it once I was into the sandwich. Everything was very tasty and if I go back again, I will probably wimp out and go with something that's a one. I like my food hot and if you do too, I will caution you to still be careful with how high you go. You might want to start a little lower than you think and work your way up if you still want it hotter. I was in the area and I had a couple hours to kill and I drove around a little bit and then headed over to their location. I actually drove right past it on my first pass and had to come back around. It's actually not hard to find, but for some reason, I thought they were in a more open area. When you arrive, you just walk up to the center window and your order. They take your name and give you an idea of about how long it will take. Everything is clearly made fresh so my weight was about 15 minutes. It was worth the wait. They were out of milkshakes on the day. I was there so I got a Mexican Sprite. That also helped dull the heat a little bit. There are some picnic cables that you can sit at and eat there or you can take it to go. Service was fast and friendly. The gentleman who waited on me helped explain a couple of things to me as I had questions. This one was definitely worth the weight , and I look forward to having an opportunity to dying here again. read more

Ummmmmm, excuse me???? How dare this place be SO GOOD! I'd been eyeing this place on Instagram for a while and hadn't had a chance to make it but I finally have! It is not a restaurant - it's a little window hut in Hannibal square where you can walk up and order. There are a few picnic tables but they get very busy so it may be a hit or miss if you're trying to sit and eat there. My very first hot tip is to order ahead. The first time I went to this place we ordered at the counter and it was about 40 min wait for food. It was worth the wait though! I ordered #3 heat (Hot). For me, it was the perfect heat! My friend ordered no heat tenders and they were also delicious. We also ordered some milkshakes and they were okay, great to help with the heat but just like a regular milkshake. Be advised the second time I ate here, I ordered ahead and it worked out perfect. I also ordered a #3 (hot) again and it was a little spicier than when I ordered it the first time (still good though)! The sando sandwich is an excellent portion. The first time I ordered it I ended up eating half for lunch and the other half for dinner. The second time I ordered it I was so hungry and craving it that I ate it all, my mouth was on fire, and I loved every second of it! Okay now I want hot chicken! Dangit! ;) read more

Awesome little spot especially with the nicer weather we were able to sit outside on the benches and eat. My daughter got the box which was a huge portion of essentially the Sando over fries. Was amazing. Great music playing friendly people behind the counter all round a great experience all round. We got the mild which lets you know it is there. My son got the hot and able to handle it but suggest you be careful. The mild was hot but flavorful not hot just to be hot. We stop here every time we come to Disney. read more
