Tried to return a gift I received three days later and the manager refused. Still in the box untouched. Had both the gift receipt and the actual receipt, and she insisted that her system wouldn't "override" a note saying the gift had already been returned. Even though I was literally standing in front of her with the brand new item. She got worked up after I explained to her that I have no idea why it would say that... I was just someone who received something that didn't fit in my kitchen. The sales girl was kind and polite. But managers customer service was just awful. Just a bummer all around. read more

One of the smaller locations I've visited, but as all WS stores, it's a very nice, upscale shop with quality products and very nice staff to assist in your needs. Smelled great, but there were no samples of what ever we were smelling. I love their little kitchen knick knacks. I almost always find something neat for the kitchen, whether a little knife, a pizza cutter or a juicer. read more

This store is a vortex of pompous staff and perhaps the most horrific customer service I have ever received. Stopped in after work, dressed in work attire, staff were obsequious and made it a point to ignore other customers to help me. It was very off-putting. Asked for an item they didn't have in stock (Dad's birthday request) and agreed to let them special order it. Went to pick it up on the weekend in standard weekend attire and was very pointedly ignored for the better part of 20 minutes by the same snide waitstaff who couldn't wait to fawn all over me earlier in the week. When someone finally deigned to speak with me, I very politely told them where they could put their $400 worth of appliance and attachments as I would no longer be requiring them and went to a different retailer for the same purchase with MUCH friendlier staff and, delightfully, at a $50 lower cost to me. As my nephew would say, the staff at this store are "craptastic." It's a shame, really cause the location is good and the shopping area quaint and someplace that if you felt welcomed you might linger. They just seem to hire complete asshats for whatever reason and that blights the whole of "Williams Sonoma" for me. Very poor show. read more

Super rude sales people act very entitled like I should be lucky to even have the privilege to shop In their store. Asked about the Vitamix blender they sales rep just kept mumbling in her PA voice adapter which I have to say is the rudest type of service . Finally without so much as another word she said it's in stock do you want me to bring it up? I said no and walked out! I'll buy it at target ! read more

This place should be 5 stars. I love their products and quality. 1 star for my precious experience and 5 star for my second experience today. Let me explain. I came in December 2017 to get some new stuff and clean out my old stuff for the year. I have always shopped at crate and barrel but one of my friend suggested me try Williams and Sonoma. So I came and bought a BUNCH of stuff. I opened up a Williams Sonoma card to get 20% off on ALL my purchases for that day. The lady that helped me kept trying to get to me try new brands and new pots and pans and knives. ( so they get sales commission?) She said " take advantage of the 20% off today and try the new items. If you don't like it for any reason, you can return it ANYTIME". So I bought a lot of things and of course going that I would love them so I won't have to return them. Included in the purchase was three expensive knives I didn't really need but thought I might like to try it out. Turns out my wonderful husband bought a really good knife sharping machine and now old knives are all sharp so I no longer need my new knives. The knives have never been used. It has never been even opened. So go in yesterday to return them as I don't need them ( and mind you that is the ONLY thing I returned) and they informed me her Williams and Sonoma only has a 30 day return policy. I was shocked!!! And yes it is my fault for not looking at printed receipt and it's my fault for believing in the sales lady...so 1 star. Of course I am new to WILLIAMS Sonoma so I am not aware of their return policy. But the new salesperson was very nice and understanding and gave me store credit so 5 star. Lesson learned for me is that even a high end place like Williams and Sonoma you cannot expect the Sales person to honest. She told me "you can return it ANYTIME". She NEVER said anything about 30 days. Just be careful and be warned. 30 day return policy. read more

I do not understand the customer service at this place. I walk in, someone immediately asks if i need help. As I know what I am looking for I decline, gather the things I want and get in line to pay. There are two cashiers, both helping clients with returns. I wait five minutes. This seems long as the place is empty, more workers than shoppers. Customer completes return, I walk up to the cashier. She turns away without acknowledging me, and starts putting a box back together from the return she got. This seems rude, and bad. Don't do that with a customer waiting that you clearly saw. I get back in line for the other cashier, who is taking forever. The ignorer finally turns back and tells me that she can help me now. I just say, "I will wait for the other lady." She looks perplexed and leaves into the store. I give up on waiting and figure I can buy the same stuff somewhere else for less money, so I do. I think that at the prices they charge, they can do a far better job. Never again! read more

I love WS but this branch is aah seams you walk in senior citizen hall they don't have passion for what they are doing. Its obviously shows that they are in commission. I do really miss Glendale WS the crew was super friendly vs this branch, active and helpful. Never be there again read more

My husband thought it would be nice to go into the store with me to shop for a wedding gift for our friends. We only got married two years ago and thought it would be romantic. Then we went there and met Nicole. She is a short, dark haired, middle age lady who can't see well enough to see product numbers, can't find the wedding registry her nice colleague found and printed out for us in the first 5 minutes in the store, and ruined the entire wedding shopping experience. When we asked her if the had a restroom she said "Yes, Lemonade" we looked at her confused and she goes "you have to go to the restaurant, Lemonade, next door." So that means the answer should have been I'm sorry we don't have one but you can use the restroom next door. She then assured us that if they didn't know all the WS customers go there for the restroom they probably do by now because apparently this store takes advantage of its neighbor on a regular basis. When she couldn't find anything we said we were willing to buy on the registry for our friends she got huffy and annoyed. Her colleague was nice enough but she was a nightmare. It was not the quality of customer service a store like this should have. read more

I wouldn't even give this store 1 star. Was a horrible experience I had today. I called in the AM to ask and get info on their registries. My mother in law and I show up literally an hour later, wait in line like every paying customer only to be told by this awful RUDE excuse of a sale woman that 'We don't do registries on weekends'. Um okay then whoever the f you have answering the phone is not aware of your policies. I told her I called this morning and specifically asked about it. So this bitch then asks all the other associates around her if anyone called to ask. Then she takes it further and asked everyone on their radio if anyone called. Asshole would you like to see my phone log considering at this point you're acting as if I'm a liar. Fine okay whatever. She then pushes paperwork at me to begin filling out as if she was going to let me go ahead and register. And continues to go on and on about how they don't accommodate on weekends. Okay lady well me and 80% of the population work M-F 8-5, not everyone is a god damn sales associate who works random ass hours. So as she continues to tell me how no one will be able to assist me during the process, I stop filling the form and say 'fine I'm leaving'. Absolutely no people skills, accommodations whatsoever. You don't need my business. So evil woman when you see this, know I'm calling corporate tomorrow to inform them of your amazing sales skills. Blow me. I went to CRATE n BARREL down the street not only to be seated, informed of all the promotions they have for wedding registries and even invited to comeback to the store before opening on a Sunday so I can wander the store to my hearts content. Plus they even gave us a congratulations gift of engraved wine glasses. Well William & Sonoma, you screwed up. Can't wait to post this on my Facebook and I've already let my two engaged girlfriends know about your shittyass customer service. read more

Highly disappointed, no wonder they have 2.5 stars. Very bad customer service. We walked around the store for about 10 minutes. There were about 4 workers in the same room as us, standing in a group taking about their day. We of course needed assistance, but it didn't seem like it mattered to them. We finally asked one worker and she said she'll be right with us but never came back. Not only that, but right after we came in, an older white gentleman entered. Almost instantaneously, he was assisted by not only one, but two workers! Now I know why the stores in Glendale Galleria and Santa Anita closed down. Cheers. read more

Went here on a Saturday morning. There were to employees behind the counter both of whom were completely incompetent and the man who helped us took almost an hour to order 6 wine glasses my cousin registers for online, which they didn't have I the store, only to have the other employee come and close the page he order was on. I left at that point. read more

This review is for Technique Class only. Two words - UNKNOWLEDGEABLE and UNSANITIZED! I attended the Technique Class and found the instructor was less than knowledgeable about food than many of the students in the class. Although the instructor was this nice middle-aged woman who looked like she's preparing the meal for her family and kids, she was actually there to teach and prepare food as an instructor and I expect her to observe the basic sanitation rules when you are teaching a cooking class to the general public. Instead, she acted like she was cooking at home, was using her phone during class, and was licking the cake batter off of her fingers! Not only was she licking her fingers, she then wiped her fingers with the kitchen towels she was using during the class. She never bothered to wash her hands again before cutting the prepared food for the class to sample. She then AGAIN licked her fingers to get rid of the sauce on her hands when she was handling the prepared food to place the food on the sampling plates for the class. All I can focus on is those fingers she just licked and then handled the pieces of food with those fingers to put them on the sampling plates for the class! I know we all do that when we are at home and I certainly don't think she was mindful of what she was doing. But this is just disgusting and I certainly don't want to share her saliva and germs!! read more

Expensive, especially with the inconsistent service. Location has very limited on street parking or a paid garage. Many higher end kitchen tools you don't need but look fun snd tempting if you have money to burn and space to store them. Not a commercial kitchen supply store however. Some plates given as gifts have been less durable than one would expect for the price. Return policies enforced so keep your receipts! Shop online and save money, time and the hassle unless you just like to browse. read more

Bought a Staub grill and the food stuck no matter how hard we tried to prepare it. After two months we gave up and called to return it. Spoke with Matt who was very professional and accommodating. When we arrived he apologized for our problems and handled the return with a smile. Great service! read more

I Had such an amazing experience with Brandon, as today is Black Friday... I saw on the chalk board outside the there was 50%off on all the candles, home fragrances etc. So, I stopped in to stock up on my fav scent! It was a typo where there was a lady employee who, was not really helpful and trying to resist... until I took her outside and showed her.... Then I went in again and BRANDON! he was really helpful and considerate saying that it was for only one scent but because, it had been written he'd honor that... SO THANKS TO BRANDON! I think I bought them out of the scent I LOVE and was looking for!!! :) What excellent assistance at this store... and will be going back! Hopefully, William Sonoma will hire more people like him! and as for the female employee, she might want to learn a bit more from him... ( I don't like to mention names of people that I have bad experiences bc I don't want people to get fired or suspended but to learn and give another chance) However when I got into my car happily, I saw that the female employee had followed me out to erase what was originally written incorrectly and she wasn't happy about it.... Luckily, again Thanks to Brandon! I left EXTREMELY SATISFIED but because of this gal I'm giving you only a 4 :/ read more

Beware of Cheap Pans! I bought a paella pan for $29.99. (My only other choice was a pan over $500, even thought the website said they had many choices in the store.) The pan was discolored after one use. I washed it by hand, and set it on a wood kitchen table. The pan bottom was still damp, and it left a deep black-brown stain on the table. We had to refinish the table top. I alerted Customer Service, and they did not respond. DO NOT BUY THIS PAN. read more

They do not validate parking. No returns, even if gift if there's no receipt. Very small store that gets crowded.

Matt, the new assistant manager is incompetent, rude and is completely lacking in customer service skills. He leaned over my box while on the phone (not appearing helpful to the phone caller either). The cashier took 30 minutes to ring a simple transaction and was not capable of printing a gift receipt or requesting gift wrap in the correct combination as one was a Hanukkah gift (all blue and all together) and the other a Christmas Le Creuset pan (1 item). It's sad to see this store sink to the abyss as they have so many new, inexperienced employees with no passion whatsoever for their product line. Heck the least WS could have done is to hire employees passionate about cooking and teach them their product line. This is my second bad experience in recent times at the Pasadena store. I stopped in before Thanksgiving for a few items, and I could not get the employees to stop talking to one another to assist me and I was the only customer in the store at the time. I may visit again but only if Brian is there and I can assist me. read more
