I spent a long time suffering from bad plumbing in the kitchen and laundry room. It would overflow and need to be snaked 2 to 3 times a year. Not only that the vent under the sink wasn't working right so you could smell sewer stank under the sink. After contacting a couple of other plumbers (who were either too expensive or seemed too slap dash) I finally decided it wasn't worth the terror of hearing the burbling pipes and following rush of water as the drainage from the spin cycle rushed out of my wall and onto the floor. I contacted William Thomas based on Yelp reviews and that he seemed to have many years of experience and was based in Long Beach. I left a message and he got back with me within a couple of hours and we made an appraisal appointment for the next day. He and Jason came right on time and went under the house to inspect after I told him the problems. I knew we were on the right track when they started identifying problems which others hadn't. He formulated a plan and sent me a very reasonable estimate within a couple of hours to which I agreed and then he asked if they could start the same day...great! I love it! They gathered the materials they would need and were back at my house in a couple of hours. From that point on they worked tirelessly. They found that upon dissecting the old plumbing that the vent up to the roof was completely destroyed and the cast iron sewer pipes were so impacted with sludge and oxidation they shouldn't have been working at all. They worked very creatively to avoid tearing into the outside wall of the house which was much appreciated as it had just been painted. The end result was an improved and properly functioning system which should serve well for many years to come...all done in an afternoon and at a very good price. Both gentlemen were thoughtful and very pleasant to work with. Money well spent and I won't hesitate to recommend them or use them again. read more

My Dad's old house required a lot of plumbing work due to old rusty pipes. There was leakage in the bathroom and under the house. The house also had gas leaks in the floor furnace and gas dryer pipes. My first thoughts were: 1- oh no... this will cost a LOT of money to repair.... AND.... 2- who can I trust to do this big job? I chose William. As it turned out, I made the right decision. From start to finish, William was great to work with. Since I was at work, we communicated via texts during the 3 days he was at my Dad's. My Dad and I met with him daily to make sure we were all on the same page. It was reassuring that he took before and after pictures of his work. From now on, I will not call anyone else but William for plumbing and heating problems. I think the best measure of William's work is what my Dad ( a former plumber) said about him: "Hey, he's pretty good!" By the way,it should be said that my Dad is a harsh critic and does not give out compliments easily. In the end, William is the perfect plumber- Doing quality work at a reasonable price... As a bonus.. he's really nice! I should add, he works with his protege,Johann, a very capable assistant. read more

I have been in the apartment rental business for several years primary managing contractors and doing some of the maintenance and repairs myself, so I have dealt with many contractors, some good and some very bad. William is one of the few contractors that is great. He is responsible, is customer service oriented and takes pride in his work. He communicated with me when he was late and promptly rescheduled when he knew he will not be able to make our appointment. He replaced a leaking galvanized pipes with new pipes. The workmanship was great, so no more leaks. His prices are very competitive. I will recommend him to all my friends and family. read more

Mr. Thomas returned my call within a few minutes after my message at 6:00 p.m . We discussed the serious backup in the washing machine, toilet, bath tubs and showers. He said he could be at my home within the hour and showed up in 30 minutes. He cleared out the main sewer line which filled with roots within a half hour and advised me how to prevent it from happening again. Of several plumbers I called he was the most honest and did not use a lot of BS jargon like other plumbers I called to upsell me and gave me a very fair price. I would highly recommend him over any other company. All other reviews listed for him are accurate. Thanks Mr. Thomas read more

Well my dishwasher was making a funny noise so I got Bill the Plumber's name from my next door app. He arrived at EXACTLY the stated time and was clean and friendly. It turned out to be a piece of broken glass in the drain. He actually waited for it to run through the cycle to be sure the noise was gone and it was. While waiting he and his sidekick Jason took a look at my slow flushing toilet. He didn't even charge me for a service call. Bill is the real deal. Honest and helpful. I will be calling him for all my future plumbing needs. He's old school in the best possible way! read more

He was recommended by a neighbor. Very happy with him, will definitely give him a call next time we need plumbing work instead of relying on those big name places. He was polite, went beyond expectations, charged fairly, and even came back to check something we weren't sure about (turned out the problem was not anything he did, it was electrical.) He cleaned up after he was done, even mopped the floor for us. :) He also recommended an electrician for our electrical problem, and his recommend was good, too. read more

I highly recommend Bill and got to know him from I think Craigslist over 12-14 years ago. Now he has helped me with 2 houses plus a business with over 100 employees. Bill is honest and does good work with fair pricing. I have recommended Bill to many friends and they all continue to use him. Work performed for me is anything from installing tankless water heater, clean out's, scheduling yearly root clean out, fixing previously faulty sewer drain pipes under the house and indoor cupper and faucet repairs. read more

Bill Thomas provided very professional, efficient, courteous service while being caring of my needs. Came to house for a simple broken toilet handle and ended up needing main line unclogged. He went out of his way to go back home and get needed equipment to complete the job the same day. I considered the service to be top notch compared to other plumbers I have used in the past. And, the charge was much more reason. I highly recommend hiring Bill Thomas for your plumbing needs! read more

William was referred to us by a friend and we can't thank him enough! We needed a water heater and faucet installed. William gave us a fair price, was on time, kept the workspace clean, was friendly, and both were installed very well. I'm a homeowner who has done a lot of work myself, so I'm a bit particular on the quality of work done on my house when I don't have the time to do the job. The quality of work was excellent. I will definitely be calling William again. read more

I have used Bill twice for my residence and once for the business and he is saved on my cell phone as "My Plumber". I own a restaurant , The Red Leprechaun and getting and having a plumber that is honest and fair pricing is rare and a very very good thing to have! He also came to my house for no charge to give me advise prior to fixing an issue. Hope all YELP users can rate him five starts, he deserves it! Plan to use him for a heating and grease trap etc in the future. read more

Used Bill several times over several years. 5 star service, trustworthy and a good guy. Great prices every time. I'm a multiple retune customer. Bill's the first person I call and he's great at getting back. This time, he was on the roof snaking through a vent. Then he replaced an old cast iron "T" that had clogged up. His plumbing knowledge goes back almost 40 years. It's perfect to have someone with so much experience for these old Long Beach homes! read more

I got to know Bill about 5 years ago when he bailed me out on my old house. I have become a big fan over the years as he has helped me with my old house, new house and our business in Cerritos. Some of the jobs have been quite small and we have also had some pretty complex need at the factory. I have always found Bill to be available and fair with his pricing and I have recommended him to several friends who had a need for his services. read more

I have used Bill twice to handle emergencies at my rentals. Both times he responded quickly, handled the problems efficiently and to conclusion. He was super honest, professional and knowledgeable. I didn't even have to be there. He was very conscious of not bothering my tenants and kept me in the loop. I wish I would have met him a long time ago, he would have made my prior plumbing emergencies a lot easier! Thank you Bill! read more

Don't even waste your time calling anyone else. Bill came through and diagnosed the situation within minutes and had my sink running like new within 20 minutes. The best part was he didn't try and nickel and dime me like most plumbers I had called initially. I told him to raise his prices because his prices were so fair! CALL THE MAN AND SAVE YOURSELF SOME TIME AND MONEY! read more

Had a clogged kitchen sink and Bill was great. He fixed the problem and cleaned everything up afterwards including the kitchen floors. He also gave us tips on what we can do to maintain a clog-free sink in community living (we are on the bottom floor of a 3 story condo building). Will definitely reach out to him again if we run into any other plumbing issues. read more
