I was astounded that Mr. Hill was at my house in 15 minutes and already had the brand new part for my moen shower handle with him. Mr. Hill is professional, courteous and extremely knowledgeable. I was referred by a friend that he did a bathroom remodel for, I expected it to be so expensive it would be outrageous. He was surprisingly reasonably priced and especially on New Year's Day and such a great response time. He was able to advise me that the only shut off value for any of my plumbing was in the front and was for the entire house. Quite surprising since I paid 16k for a room addtion in my garage to a different contractor and it seems like every time I have an issue I find one more thing that previous guy cut corners on. Mr. Hill had the water turned off for 7 minutes and the entire thing was fixed. He was so kind to put a o-ring in my shower head that had been leaking for years, installed brand new by the guy before, now doesn't leak a drop. I felt so at easy and comfortable having him in my home, that the problem was taken care of due to his amount of knowledge in the industry and I couldn't ask for a better plumber even in my dreams. It's been three days and everything is truly fixed and I'm so happy with my service. I love feeling like my hard earned money is money well spent and he was worth every penny. He was a true life saver as I was having a panic attack because I couldn't shut my entire house off for too long due to one shower. I've been told he doesn't advertise and just works off referral basis and I totally get it now. I wish there were more honest, trustworthy and knowledgeable plumbers out there because it's a nightmare dealing with this kind of situation. Update 12/2019: Our water heater was over 15 years old and I'm pretty sure I heard funky noises coming from it over the past year. We were also starting to run out of hot water towards the end of showering. When it started to leak from the outlet valve (I doubt that's the right term, sorry) at the bottom of the tank, I knew the end was near. I called Purua plumbing again and got a call back within 20 minutes. And it was Sunday night too! After a quick check on the tank (and may I repeat, on Sunday night!) Robert helped us decide on a replacement and by the next day the job was done! I Wasn't planning on such a large expense during the Christmas season, but it was reasonably priced. PLEASE…read more All of the following is working with Casar (who owns this company) (There is a Cesar the plumber at 24/7 pro rooter as well, but it's not the same Cesar! That one is excellent!) SUMMARY: Cesar has quoted me for an extra $5K for something that was already upgraded (thinking I would not know) and charged us ~$1000 for jetting a drain (previously charged s $200) plus fraudulent 10% tax upcharge. (Services are nontaxable in California) Recently we had to clear a clog in our main sewer line because roots are growing into the old clay pipe. They gave us 3 prices for fixing the old pipe. 1-was first fiberglass sleeving our main sewer line ~$7k 2-replacing the iron half with a new pipe and fiberglass sleeving the clay pipe half ~$9k 3-same work as 2nd quote plus replacing other cast-iron drainpipes that come from our old bathroom and kitchen sink/laundry that supposedly needed to get replaced ~$14k HERE'S THE PROBLEM-when another very trustworthy plumbing company (beach plumbing) crawled under the house and took video and all of the extra cast-iron that needed to be replaced (additional $5K) was already ABS (already upgraded-does not need to be replaced!). This is super deceptive because they had done all of our previous plumbing and would know this. Previously they did the plumbing for a new half-bath and upgraded bath, with new plumbing. Obviously you want to get a couple quotes when you have a project this expensive, so I got 3 additional quotes. We ended up using 24/7 pro rooter because they were $5400 for the same sleeving job and $3200 for pipe bursting/pipe pulling which completely replaces all of the old pipe, and is a way better solution in my opinion because it's a brand-new pipe that will last 100+ years (versus pretty thin fiberglass epoxy that has to be done by someone skilled). I don't know why everyone doesn't mention. Pipe pulling/pipe bursting. After he knew we were going with someone else, he charged us over $950 for jetting our main sewage line, including a fraudulent tax charge. See the invoice below. Services like plumbing are nontaxable in California. He absolutely know this and is just trying to up charge. When I mentioned it Cesar changed it to a 10% up charge for fuel. He's just being vengeful and extremely unprofessional IMO. I hope this helps a lot of people make the right decision. Just be sure to get a couple quotes before anyone comes out.

However, when I had trouble with a toilet in my rental unit - where there is only one bathroom - resolving the problem was a more pressing issue. First, it was just a small leak. The plumber looked at it and though it could be fixed with the replacement of some internal parts. However, while searching for the parts, three things happened: (1) the leak became more pronounced, (2) the water shut-off valve froze and (3) we found out that the toilet was an unusual model made by Toto 20 years ago and the replacement parts weren't immediately available. I decided my tenant needed a toilet that worked and I needed to avoid a flood in this upper unit as the leak, if not contained, would have caused damage below it. I needed a new toilet, but it had to be a one-piece that would fit under an existing tiled counter. We found one and I thought we could do it the next day, but VK showed up late in the afternoon with the new unit and spent the next few hours, until nearly 10 pm, getting the old one out (no easy feat) and getting the new one in and working. Oh, and to make things worse, the water shut off valve broke and it had to be replaced before they could put the new toilet in, which necessitated turning the water off to the whole unit. This was a headache and inconvenience for everyone, but it all got done and all working that evening. I really appreciated the late-night service and how they cleaned everything up very nicely before leaving. My tenant was happy which means I'm happy too. At the end of the day, the price for the new toilet, new water shut-off valve and all labor/installation was a very fair price.
