If I could give 10 STARS I would. I called Caesar and he was able to come the following day (even offered to come check out the estimate on his lunch break the same day). We needed the washer and dryer hooked up and new pipes routed. I previously had another estimates completed and they were way over our budget. Luckily I found Caesar's business, he saved me over $300.00. Caesar is running an honest business and we really appreciate the beautiful job you did. We will be referring you to all of our friends and neighbors. Take care for now! Hope this review helps! I mean is that not good business?! I mean great business?! Paying it forward, giving great deals and customers for life! read more

Gold Standard Plumbing - New natural gas line pipes, instillation and stack job! - Plumbing Near Me

YOU WILL want to READ THIS.... PLEASE. All of the following is working with Casar (who owns this company) (There is a Cesar the plumber at 24/7 pro rooter as well, but it's not the same Cesar! That one is excellent!) SUMMARY: Cesar has quoted me for an extra $5K for something that was already upgraded (thinking I would not know) and charged us ~$1000 for jetting a drain (previously charged s $200) plus fraudulent 10% tax upcharge. (Services are nontaxable in California) Recently we had to clear a clog in our main sewer line because roots are growing into the old clay pipe. They gave us 3 prices for fixing the old pipe. 1-was first fiberglass sleeving our main sewer line ~$7k 2-replacing the iron half with a new pipe and fiberglass sleeving the clay pipe half ~$9k 3-same work as 2nd quote plus replacing other cast-iron drainpipes that come from our old bathroom and kitchen sink/laundry that supposedly needed to get replaced ~$14k HERE'S THE PROBLEM-when another very trustworthy plumbing company (beach plumbing) crawled under the house and took video and all of the extra cast-iron that needed to be replaced (additional $5K) was already ABS (already upgraded-does not need to be replaced!). This is super deceptive because they had done all of our previous plumbing and would know this. Previously they did the plumbing for a new half-bath and upgraded bath, with new plumbing. Obviously you want to get a couple quotes when you have a project this expensive, so I got 3 additional quotes. We ended up using 24/7 pro rooter because they were $5400 for the same sleeving job and $3200 for pipe bursting/pipe pulling which completely replaces all of the old pipe, and is a way better solution in my opinion because it's a brand-new pipe that will last 100+ years (versus pretty thin fiberglass epoxy that has to be done by someone skilled). I don't know why everyone doesn't mention. Pipe pulling/pipe bursting. After he knew we were going with someone else, he charged us over $950 for jetting our main sewage line, including a fraudulent tax charge. See the invoice below. Services like plumbing are nontaxable in California. He absolutely know this and is just trying to up charge. When I mentioned it Cesar changed it to a 10% up charge for fuel. He's just being vengeful and extremely unprofessional IMO. I hope this helps a lot of people make the right decision. Just be sure to get a couple quotes before anyone comes out. read more

Gold Standard Plumbing - Notice the fraudulent sales tax charge that should not be there. - Plumbing Near Me

I responded to this business because it had such glowing reviews and was very prompt to offer an estimate. They came out the same day, but charged $80 for a non-emergency on a weekday. They had not disclosed a fee prior to showing up and viewing the work. Their estimate was $1975. I decided to get another estimate and hired it out for $850 and no charge for the estimate. I was very satisfied with the other plumber's work. I would recommend to skip this business, as other plumbers offer free estimates so that you can compare bids. Update: The owner is mistaken about having performed any work at my house. If he does, indeed, offer free estimates, I will accept a refund of $80. read more

I had a problem with a shower tub diverter and Cesar was responsive with a quote. He was on time and was professional. Cesar is knowledgeable and courteous. He has always finished the job. We had our kitchen sink replumbed due to constant slow draining and I am very happy with the results. The monthly "Club" plan is great as all service calls and labor is at no charge. read more

Gold Standard was supposed to stop by to give me a quote on a re-pipe for my home on Friday, March 13th at 4 pm. At 4:15 pm I received a call from the plumber who advised me that he obviously wasn't going to be by 4 pm as he was just leaving downtown Los Angeles and needed to stop by Huntington Beach on his way to my home in Santa Ana, but said he would be by a little after 5 pm. I was fairly confident this was physically impossible with LA traffic on a Friday evening, but I said "okay." He never showed up or called to say he wasn't coming. I did receive a text early the following week to see if I was still interested in him coming over to offer a quote...I politely declined. read more

Friendly and helpful owner, very responsive to concerns and requests. Accommodating to schedule. Had bathroom shower leak that was identified and resolved. I unfortunately have needed the services of a plumber more then a few times at my house, I think they are one of the better companies serving the Long Beach area. Will definitely call Gold Standard when I have a plumbing issue. read more

On Sunday of Memorial Day weekend I woke up with a busted water heater and water pouring out my condo and waterfall-ing down the building and my neighbors all complaining. I called Gold Standard to see how soon they could come out and they were very accommodating and came out immediately. They got the water leak under control then left and came back with a new water heater. New water heater was installed and the whole process took less than a few hours, and they were extremely reasonable with their pricing, especially since it was all done on a holiday weekend. I am very happy and my new water heater looks great. Thank you! read more

My toilet was leaking on a Sunday night and Cesar came out to look at it within an hour notice. He found the source of the problem being the sewer pipe under the concrete slab needed to be replaced. He also had a responsible sub contractor who was able to dehumidify and dry out my floors and walls before resetting my toilet back in place. read more

WOW! I had an emergency with a unit and found Gold Standard Plumbing here. Decided to call and mid-call I got a quick message saying "Hey, I cannot speak right now, but will call you shortly". To me that is VERY valuable, they know I appreciate my time and did not want to waste it letting the phone ring. Needles to say, I got a call 3 minutes later, not even two minutes into the conversation, they already have someone working with my Tennant to fit her schedule! I will never use another plumbing company! Thank you Gold Standard Plumbing! read more

Had a toilet drain backed up and tried a multitude of things short of buying an expensive auger machine with no success. Went on to yelp to find a plumber in Long Beach and found Gold Standard Plumbing and sent in my request. Within a few minutes I was contated by Cesar via Yelp and provided my number, received a call within minutes of that...explained the history of what was goimg on to Cesar. Within a couple hours, Cesar came to the house after hours (almost 9pm on a Friday night) and had the drain cleared and double verified it was clear before finishing up, which took all of about 10 minutes from arrival to finish. Bottom line...very quick response, very accommodating and professional. Cesar was professional, very personable, knowledgeable and good at what he did, not to mention reasonably priced. By the time he was done, almost felt like we'd had a family friend who was a plumber come by to help out...interactive and friendly with the family and the family dog... Should we be in need of a plumber in the future, we're definitely contacting Gold Standard Plumbing again...and 110% recommended them if you're in need of a plumber. Thanks Cesar, it was a pleasure meeting you and doing business with you... read more

Omg! I had a leak in the middle of the night last night after we showered and they came in to rescue us did an excellent job. Thank you

I needed a water heater moved, laundry setup installed, and a bunch of other things. Cesar came out quickly and immediately saw things the other guys didn't see or notice. He sent a quote and his pricing was really fair. I knew it would be a big job and we had a good rapport, so I went with Gold Standard and I'm glad I did. Ceasar and his crew were really nice and super helpful. When they saw other problems or noticed that I needed help beyond the original scope of work, they did not hesitate. We were in the first weeks of the COVID-19 shutdown and they even grabbed supplies, did extra drywall and paint, and basically just took care of my place like it was their own. I was scared it was going to cost me a fortune because it took a while and there were lots of changes in scope (my project was not an emergency), but it was totally reasonable and I'm so thankful. Thanks guys for everything!! read more
