Five stars isn't enough for Jacob Plumbing. My dishwasher died and was wedged in so tightly that every contractor and repairman who looked at it told me it couldn't come out without tearing up the cabinetry or the kitchen flooring. Jacob came out today and pulled it with zero damage to either. I still can't quite believe it. He texted ahead to say when he'd arrive, showed up right on time, and explained what he was doing as he worked. He was also polite, courteous, and jovial, which made a stressful repair a pleasant afternoon. If someone has told you your job is impossible, call Jacob first. He's the one who got it done. read more

Reached out to Jacob to get help with my shower and a toilet - was quick to respond and schedule a time to take a look and provide an assessment for free. While another plumber was unable to get the issue with my shower resolved, Jacob got the job done and without having to go the route of a more expensive repair. I went with his suggestion for a replacement toilet for the one that was constantly hissing and dripping despite replacing internals. Out with the old and in with the new in no time. Would not hesitate to call Jacob again for help on a plumbing job. Responsive, knows his stuff, and gets the job done right, quickly, and at a reasonable rate. read more

I'm revising my review to 3 stars. The work itself was completed well, and I was very happy with the quality of the job and the communication. However, after the job was finished, I requested a paid receipt so my client could reimburse me. Jacob initially said that there would be no problem, but after several polite texts and calls explaining why I needed it, I never received a response or the receipt. I'm not sure what happened, but the lack of follow-through after the job was completed was disappointing, especially since everything else about the work was handled well. read more

Have worked with Jacob for small and larger jobs including fixing basic toilet issues to installing new venting and water lines for a laundry room install. He is super diligent in his work, easy to work with, and responsive (including after a job). His jobs are always done well and done quickly. He takes pride in his work. Would recommend. read more

Went through reviews and liked what people said. I'm always a bit skeptical being a woman hiring for work like this but the reviews were great. My message to him was sent out to several companies which I didn't love but wanted to wait for Jacob's reply. He was straightforward on what he thought might be the issue and gave me a price- I did question the price only because snaking varies like crazy (and a bunch of other plumbing CO's messaged me). He asked to call just to tell me that yep- it does vary and the reasons you can get what you pay for. I've been burned by plumbing in the past so I agreed to have him over and he came in 25 min! After explaining the drain issue with my upper bath/shower and me snaking it myself with cheap snakes, he informed me I was snaking the wrong drain. Instructed me and guided me on how to clear my own drain! I cleared my drain! With his instruction and he didn't charge me!! I of course still paid 1/3 of the quote as it's only fair he came here and helped me where I think anyone else would have cleared it, charged the full amount and probably tried to sell me something I didn't need. Jacob is a really good human, an honest human and in this day/age that's hard to find. I will definitely use him for anything in the future including remodel or anything bath/pipe/kitchen related; he is kind, super knowledgeable and generally wants people to be happy with his work. Very easy going guy. I have not been this impressed with someone in a long time. Highly recommend. 10 stars!!! read more

Honest easy going - straightforward and knowledgeable. Definitely give him a call - he stays busy for a reason!

Jacob is great! I've had him come out for a few different plumbing issues, and he's always been super friendly, easy to talk to, and reliable. He takes the time to explain what he's doing, shows up when he says he will, and charges a fair price. He's our go-to plumber now. Highly recommend! read more

This is my third time hiring Plumbing By Jacob and he (Jacob) has been really great! We have two toilets that were incorrectly re-installed by a flooring contractor, so I hired Plumbing By Jacob to remove and reset our toilets with new anchoring hardware as well as replace the old angle stops and hose lines. His work is extremely professional and he did a great job caulking around the toilets too. And, he charged what i felt was a very fair price for his material and services. I highly recommend using Plumbing By Jacob. I know I will call him again for our next job. Thanks Jacob! read more

We've had Jacob out to work on several projects and he's always so wonderful to work with. He's honest, reliable, respectful and we appreciate his attention to detail. With every other plumber we've been disappointed afterwards, but we started using Jacob because he gets the job done right every time! The latest project was installing a new tankless water heater and we're very happy with it. read more

Jacob is super awesome. Very honest with what needs to be done and doesn't try to make the project more complex than it needs to be. Extremely reasonable pricing. Communication was great and he was on time to start the work and on time to finish the work. I wasn't home when he did the work. Jacob called me the next day to see if the work is done to my satisfaction. I even found out that he capped an out of commission gasline for me without charge. My encounter with jacob is just one project so far, but i feel that he really care for his client. read more

Jacob is very professional, punctual and honest. He is very knowledgeable in his area of expertise. I highly recommend Plumbing by Jacob.

Jacob is a good guy, straight up and friendly. He fixed a problem with our bathroom sink that other plumbers were making into a nightmare for me. Jacob got it done, no hype or pain in my brain after he fixed the drain. Nice work Jacob. read more

We have now called Jacob twice for plumbing concerns and each time he has been so great. Jacob is always has your best interest in mind and not on finding a way to bill you for unnecessary things. We will for sure be calling him the next time we need anything plumbing related. read more

Jacob didn't end up doing any paid work on our house, but he gave us some sage advice that could apply to other areas in your home. "If it isn't broken don't fix it". We called Jacob to get a second opinion, and he basically saved us a lot of money by recommending against the work that another company tried to sell us. He did have some recommendation items that would improve the quality of our plumbing, but he wasn't pushy about it. If there's a plumber at your house and it starts to feel like you're buying a car, walk away. Talk to Jacob and get your work done by him. We know we'll be going to him in the near future. read more

We are having a relay of our tile roof. On the facia on the west side of the house was an old satellite dish that has not been in use for years. When they removed it as it fell to the ground it grazed a facet and bent the pipe. Fortunately, the pipe was just bent and did not leak. The contractor ALR Remodeling and the project manager John Charlson were great. John took pictures and contacted his plumber Jacob Ramirez. Jacob came to the house, shut off the water for less than 30 minutes and made the repair. The faucet is now better than ever. Jacob takes great pride in his work. I have no hesitation in recommending Jacob and wish him nothing but success. read more

Plumbing By Jacob - The faucet is now secured and working great! - Plumbing Near Me

Did not answer/ return phone call and did not respond to text like bio says. Website link does not exist. Wish Jacob would have at least responded that he's not taking on any work right now instead of just not responding. read more

Called Jacob to replace a shower handle valve that was leaking. He was quick to answer the call and set up an appointment the next day. He was able to talk me through the job on the phone but after seeing in person quickly understood what needed to change and went out to get parts that he needed. Unfortunately we had to order one part so he started the job and returned the next day to finish after our part was delivered. He quoted me a straight forward and reasonable price and held to it even the job changed on him. Jacob is super friendly and knowledgeable. He never tried to sell us more of anything and offered his advice with regards to things that did NOT need to be replaced. Will definitely be using for any future needs read more

Jacob aka. The Superman of Plumbers, does it again. I gotta tell you this young man knows his stuff. I've been having Jacob call on all our plumbing problems or projects for many years, ever since his father Manny the plumber relocated out of state. Jacob is clean, conscientious and does exactly what he says he'll do. He's always fair and transparent too, he lets you know exactly what he's doing. He just installed a new water filtration system and we could't be happier. Thank You, Jacob read more

Fast, knowledgable, honest, good pricing. Will be reaching out to Jacob for anything plumbing related going forward!

Jacob was a very efficient worker. He was very friendly and got the job done quickly and professionally. So many services to choose from and we picked Plumbing by Jacob- it was the best decision! He was very responsive and showed up to fix a very messy situation. Not only was his work great and pricing fair, but he was also kind and helpful. He was working at my mother's home and she had some limitations, he was incredibly helpful and went above and beyond to attend to not only the problem but also to be supportive and understanding with my mother as she was working to navigate the urgent plumbing needs. Fast, fair and one of the kindest business owners I have ever had the pleasure to work with. Thanks Jacob- you are the best! read more

We called Jacob for a service call to repair or replace a water value, that wasn't working. Upon inspection, Jacob realized, the replacement of value wasn't necessarily going to fix the issue and in fact, we had a much larger issue. One that would take much more time and a complex fix. He advised us on an easier and immediate remedy as an option, which truly saved the day. We will definitely be using him and be recommending him for all future plumbing work in the future. Hard to come by someone who is honest and truly wants to provide excellent customer service, rather than just out to make money. Highly highly recommend. He has a 714 number but local to Long Beach. Arrived in 20 minutes from my call. read more

Jacob was able to fix my clogged sink quickly and efficiently. I would definitely recommend this plumbing service!

Game me a quote upfront, came out, cleared the line fast. No hassle, no nonsense. Great work thanks Jacob.

Jacob was so kind. Provided us with a quick tip over the phone. He checked in after to see if we still needed him to come out. Fixed the problem without him even needing to come and inspect. Definitely going to be calling him for all my future plumbing needs. Thanks Jacob!! read more

I texted Jacob because my toilet wouldn't stop running. He got back to me right away and stopped the next day. After taking a quick look he explained to me what was broken and how to fix it myself! Without charging me anything!! I was skeptical at first with this being my first DIY toilet repair as a first time homeowner, but I did it! One trip to the hardware store later and everything works just fine! Thanks for saving me money, Jacob - you've got any of my future plumbing business! read more

This was my first time using Plumbing by Jacob and I am very satisfied by the results. I needed a drain pipe assembly replaced on a vanity for a bathroom in a rental unit. As such, my concern was getting it fixed in the least amount of time, with the least amount of disruption and inconvenience for the tenant, and not being overcharged. When I first called to see if they were interested in the job, Jacob answered the phone. I explained the problem and he explained the cost structure (X$/hr + materials) which sounded agreeable and he could do it the next day, as it was almost 5:00 when I called. We made an appointment and he agreed to message me when he was heading out for the appointment. The next day he texted 15 minutes before the appointment. I met him at the apartment, on time and ready to start. I appreciate the promptness and the fact that he came with the parts he needed. He had the whole problem fixed in less than an hour and for the price as we had discussed. He was also a pleasant person to do business with. Based on this experience I will use him again and would recommend him for this type of work. read more

We noticed our main water line was leaking on Friday afternoon. Jacob was the first to reach out and provide helpful information. He answered some pressing questions and even followed up a few days later to check if we needed his assistance. Very polite and informative! read more

Jacob was great in providing a good honest business as he advice what the issue was with the work needed to be done. He came twice because we had purchased the disposal that needed to replace the old. After installation, there was a leak on the new disposal, so he advised that he will return the following day with a better disposal that he installs for his previous work done with customers. After completion, he did other recommendation for future work needed. I like to support small businesses especially if they do great quality work. I definitely would refer Jacob to friends and family. read more

Jacob is a great plumber! Had him come by to snake a few drains at my house in Long Beach. Roto Rooter quoted me more than 3x what Jacob ended up charging. He was in, got the work done quickly, gave a few pointers about some changes we made to the plumbing, and got out of there swiftly. Easy service and a quick turnaround. I was very pleased to have Jacob do the plumbing work for me. Thank you!! read more

Jacob Ramirez is the owner and one of the operators and I can say 100% that he cares and understands about your urgent situation. He's also the person who will solve your situation quickly and effectively. I had an issue and Jacob resolved it quickly. It was a last minute request, as plumbing issues usually are. From the phone call to the repair it took Jason less than 2 hours. He came when he said he would and there was no waiting. He did what he said he'd do in minutes. Jason even gave me an option I could try in order to save money. He's an extremely honest ,talented guy who delivers on his word. He's the person you want in an emergency. Jacob has been my plumber for several years. I use him exclusively, after the shoddy job that Jacot Plumbing in Garden Grove did on my bathroom renovation In 2017. Jacob came in explained how he would have done it differently and more efficiently. His knowledge and suggestions has saved me a lot of money and headaches over the years. Jacob is excellent in his work as well as his attitude. He responds quickly, arrives on time and usually hums a tune as he goes about repairing what's broken! . He's got great reviews for that very reason! I highly recommend Plumbing by Jacob, you won't be sorry! read more

Jacob came out to look at a couple issues with our bathtub. He quoted a few different options but ultimately recommended a DIY solution and gave us some advice about how to carry it out. Have paid him $0 so far and the issue is mostly resolved already. I've been frustrated in the past with plumbers charging $150 or more to show up at all and then saying there's nothing they can do once they get here. So -- much happier with Jacob, although I suppose I can't speak to the quality of his workmanship. read more

Very nice guy that showed up on time and did good work except for dripping sink sludge on hall carpet. My problem is that he tried to double the bill to $300.00 for a job that took him 30 minutes from when he stepped out of his truck to when he left. As a contractor I told him "no way" and he accepted his original quote. Get the price set in stone before he starts. This was over two years ago. I was sort of intimidated and afraid to leave this review. I have since moved. read more
