Rinnai 11.2 gas tankless water heater installed to replace old water tank heater
Amy K.

Went through SoCalGas to purchase a new tankless water heater & added installation. We were happy that Water Heater Warehouse (WHW) contacted us ASAP to schedule the install but they couldn't install until 6 days out: Two days before, we panicked thinking we might need a permit. Called to ask if we needed a permit for the new tankless water heater & spoke to Joey & he sounded unsure & said we don't need a permit because our install wouldn't have been scheduled if we needed one. Didn't give me the warm fuzzies so I googled & per our city's website, Yes, a permit & inspection are needed. We called the city & they were super helpful & reassured us that we can have the tankless water heater installed first & schedule the inspection later. So we called back & told Joey that yes, we need to get a permit & if they will be submitting the permit with their contractor number. He said yes. Hopefully he knows to check first instead of guessing & give customers the wrong info. We were happy with the removal of the old gas water heater & install of the new gas tankless water heater by Chris & his apprentice. Both super nice. After the install, the tankless water heater took forever for the hot water to come on for showers upstairs, even when I turn on the recirculator on the app. So annoying & feel like we're wasting so much water. We agreed for Chris to have it set to smart schedule where it will monitor our hot water usage for a week to develop a good schedule. 5 days later, we smell gas by the newly installed tankless water heater. Called WHW & Joey said to call the gas company. Gas company came out 4 hrs later & confirm that there indeed gas leak & he had to shut down the gas & tankless water heater. And told us to call the installer to come fix the leak. Just called WHW but of course they are closed & left a message with customer service. We thought it would go smoothly as they have great reviews but at this point, we would NOT recommend this company. Not sure if it's a faulty unit or faulty install. I'll update my review when we find out. We didn't pick this company. It was through purchasing the tankless water heater from SoCalGas. It's been a week & I still feel like I'm wasting water just waiting for the hot water to come on.

Great price for water heater. Saved $200-250 over Home Depot & Lowe's. Transaction took no more than 15 minutes for payment & loading .

We're glad we went with a company that specializes in water heaters; i highly recommend. Marc was incredibly knowledgeable and thorough helping us make our tailored choices. During the installation, he and Griffin were genuinely focused on "doing and leaving a job well done". Initially, Marc gave us a ballpark figure and, lo and behold, the final cost was less. Again we are very satisfied with our Water Heater Company experience. Thank you to all of the team. DAB

I did not, which left me with a major water heater link and in a crappy Sunday predicament. I called these guys first because of the reviews. They answered the phone immediately, got me an appointment slot, and even worked around my kiddo's sports. Yovanny was my technician and he was very kid and friendly. Instead of trying to push prices ob me, he explained the necessities. I needed a fill water heater replacement. Yovanny arrived at 3ish and finished the whole job in 4 hours and change - with some snafus because of previous shoddy work (not this company). Anyway, i felt really good about the price and the service really was top tier. Thanks guys!

He took the time to carefully look around and figure out what was causing the problem instead of rushing through the job. I had contacted other companies before, but it was sometimes difficult to understand their explanations, and I didn't feel like I was getting clear answers. Johnny was completely different. He explained everything clearly and patiently, making sure I understood what the problem was and what my options were. I also really appreciated that he explained the cost upfront and let me know about things I wasn't aware of before starting the work. There were no surprises, and I felt comfortable knowing exactly what was being done and how much it would cost. Johnny was not only knowledgeable and professional, but also very kind and easy to talk to. He answered all of my questions and made sure I understood everything. I'm very thankful for his help and the way he treated me with kindness and respect. I would definitely recommend Johnny and All City Plumbing & Air to anyone who needs plumbing or air conditioning service. From the start, he took the time to explain his entire process in detail so I could easily understand exactly what he was going to do. We hired him for a significant amount of work, and he handled all of it flawlessly. He replaced our kitchen sink, garbage disposal, and the angle stops around our bathrooms. He also installed a brand-new water heater, a Flow Tech anti-scale system, and a thermal expansion tank. Additionally, he replaced the main faucet and pipes connecting our house to the city water supply and successfully fixed our home's water pressure, which had been running dangerously high. What truly sets Gabe apart is his customer service. He is incredibly friendly, attentive, and kept in constant contact throughout the entire project. He is completely transparent and never acts like a pushy salesman; he simply assesses the issue, states the exact cost to fix it, and gives you the space to make up your own mind without any pressure. I would absolutely hire Gabe Smith and All City Plumbing again.
