For anyone trying to do your child's passport application at this location, make sure you have all…read moreof your materials: application, photo, check for each ap, both parents present at appointment or notarized letter excusing one parent, birth certificates, and two forms of identification for yourself. This is the only location in our area that does the passports and the staff at this location are very rude when you don't have your materials or an appointment. Even tho online it says walk in welcome. The staff here will NOT help you. They don't answer any questions and just bark at you that it's all online. They seem to be VERY irritated that they have to do the passport process. There's one lady in particular who've I've now dealt with 3 times who is absolutely awful- good luck to all the moms just trying to get their kids documents, this place sucks!

I usually love this post office because of the self service kiosk, but I went today at 5:50p to…read morefind the doors locked, and no one there to open the P.O. box room. The posted hours on the door were open until 6 p.m., and on the USPS website it said until 7 p.m.. Unfortunate for people who work during regular hours and rely on the self service kiosk to ship out. No note on the door saying they're closing early and no one responding to knocks. Guess I'll try tomorrow again after work and hope they aren't closed early this time!

I got selected to the second round of interviews and testing for the City Carrier Assistant…read moreposition. One of the first things they mention in the orientation is that the job position is part time, on call, and with zero guarantee of hours. No where in the job posting on Indeed.com was this mentioned (which Indeed definitely lets you designate). They wait until you schedule time off and you show up in person to let you know this fact. They said if you have a problem with this you should exit the interview now. We'll thanks for the heads up and loss of a day's wage to apply for a job that I would have skipped if I had known all the facts. Honestly I wish I could sue them if lawyers weren't so expensive. Another applicant followed after me and opted out of the application process too. The instructions for the orientation mention "do not bring children" to the interview. So that implies people might be having to get daycare to apply to this bogus job opening. This is beyond inconsiderate for people who have children and are already on limited budgets. Although this is not me, I sympathize with single parents applying for these jobs. Let's face it, if they told the truth nobody would apply to this job. This should have been described as "seasonal work with no guarantee of hours". If I lied or withheld facts on my job application, I would be disqualified (and rightfully so). Yet the same courtesy is not granted in return. USPS used to be a great organization. My grandfather worked for them and things were better back in his time. Nowadays, I can't tell the difference between them and Amazon on how they operate. Shame on you USPS.

I wish I could say this was an isolated bad day, but this experience is a fine example of the…read morefailing USPS and typical of this location. Unwelcoming staff, chronic inefficiency, and frequent technical failures are the norm here. I'm sharing this particular visit because it illustrates perfectly what you can expect every time you walk through that door. I came in with the simplest possible transaction: a prepaid label, already purchased, with a QR code to scan and print. A 30 second transaction, tops. The self-service kiosk had a long line, so I made the decision to use the full-service counter instead. I waited 20 minutes. When I finally reached the teller, I showed her my QR code and was told, without a hint of apology or friendliness, that she couldn't scan QR codes and I needed to go use the self-service kiosk. The same kiosk. The one with the line. Back I went for another 20 minutes, after which my actual transaction took all of 30 seconds. So, 40 minutes, one needlessly rude employee, and a full-service desk that is apparently incapable of performing a function that an unmanned machine handles effortlessly. Par for the course here. If you have any flexibility in how you ship, do yourself a favor: go to UPS or FedEx. Save yourself the frustration and avoid this location in particular. The USPS as a whole is struggling, but this branch has truly distinguished itself in all the wrong ways. You've been warned.

They first said I could print one there and then after some genuine confusion on my end told me I would need to go to UPS or somewhere else because they don't print them there.... Y'all. That hazard label is for air travel. The shipping label is clearly marked as hazardous / GROUND TRAVEL ONLY. I went to a different post office, they looked at all the same return info, put a little extra hazard sticker on it and sent me on my way. Absolutely ridiculous waste of time.
