I was at the AAA across the street and needed to ship something that I had in my car before the end of the day. Luckily they were all very fast and even though it was 5 pm they were still helping people. Awesome job. First time there, great impression. On a side note, I like the retro look. I always like post offices that look like they have never changed.

Suppose to open at 830. Standing here on a Monday at 8:37 door still locked. Great job usps.

Evil Homer: Marge honey-fräulein, I'm home Marge: You're not my husband. Evil Homer: Ja, please forgive my unexplained two-week absence. To make it up to you, we will go out to dinner at a sensibly priced restaurant, then have a night of efficient German sex. Marge: Well, I sure don't feel like cooking.... -- any simpsons lover will appreciate that quote when i say that my recent trip to the clairemont branch of the USPS reminded me of this scene. I might not have witnessed efficient german sex, but i did indeed witness an efficient american post office - which is a rarity! Super impressed with how organized this place is. I came bright and early this Sat. morning upon opening (9 am) and there was a massive group of people already waiting for it to open. If this had been the UTC Costa Verde post office (which in my experiences is one of the worst in SD) it probably would have taken 30-40 mins to get through. Nope, not here. With the assistance of an employee who helps people get they shish together while shuffling through the line, along with the employees behind the counter that 'get er done,' it moved quickly and seamlessly. I like that this post office has plenty of parking and offers the cool drive through drop off boxes. Yep, locate the box & shove it in....easy, quick, and satisfying - while cutting out all the BS. Efficient german sex might have something there! hahaha.... :-]~

Richard at Postal Annex is absolutely amazing: kind, patient, and always incredibly helpful. The store is clean, organized, and well run, and there's never a long wait. I truly appreciate how professionally this location is managed. I won't go anywhere else for my shipping needs! 10 Stars for Richard's customer service - something becoming nonexistent in other businesses!

On July 5, I came to this PostalAnnex location because I needed to ship an iPad to Kazakhstan. I…read moreclearly explained what I was shipping. The employee inspected the iPad, confirmed that they could ship it, packed it, and even placed a lithium-ion battery label on the package. I paid about $150 for the shipment. On July 23, the package was returned because it contained a lithium-ion battery and could not be shipped by air. If that was the case, they should have told me before accepting my package and taking my money. Instead, they accepted it, shipped it anyway, and wasted almost three weeks. Because of this delay, the shipment became pointless, and I also lost the opportunity to return the unopened iPad to the Apple Store because the return window had already expired. The same day the package was returned, I went back to this PostalAnnex location and requested a refund for the shipping charges. They took my name and phone number and promised to contact me, but they never did. I also contacted customer support afterward and received no response. I still don't know if I will ever get my money back. This experience was extremely unprofessional. They accepted a shipment they should have known they could not complete, failed to follow up on their promise, and ignored my support requests. I cannot recommend this business.

If I could give UPS less than one star , I would. I arranged…read morefor a pickup of 3 boxes and paid 120.00 to ship with a 10.50 pick up fee. I typed a note as to where these could be placed on a hand cart and brought to her truck. The day came and I lugged the large, 25 lb boxes up to the pick up spot at the top of my stairs, and 5 hrs later my female UPS driver comes , goes to the gate, (unlocked) sees the boxes, and turns around, muttering to herself. I thought she was going to her truck for her cart , but instead, she gets in and drives away. I emailed UPS , and called them right away because as of later that day the boxes were still there. As if then I've received NO response and NO pickup This is the same UPS driver that signed a drop off slip for a package of mine that was insured for $5000 and dumped it at the end of my driveway, in a nice neighborhood sure but where thieves take stuff every day from residents. Mission Hills, San Die Okay. I don't know what happened but I could not be more pleased with the fact my same driver has become the opposite of that person I described previously! It's pretty amazing, she gets out of the truck and brings my packages to the gate, where she waits, holding a treat for our pit bull . When we get there, she greets us warmly and we have pleasant conversation, and she tells me when she signs for me. Which is fine of course . If I'm not home, she leaves the box inside the gated area with the treat right on top. I can honestly say, I love her now

I have been a loyal UPS business customer since 2012, spending well over $250,000 per year with…read moreUPS, and during our peak years, over $600,000 annually. Over the course of our relationship, we've entrusted UPS with millions of dollars in shipping business. I never imagined this is how UPS would treat a long-time, high-volume customer. For more than a year, I've been trying to resolve a legitimate international billing dispute involving China import shipments that were either returned, never successfully completed, or billed without our negotiated contract pricing. Despite countless emails, follow-ups, and promises, the issue remains unresolved. What makes this even more frustrating is that David Arvizu specifically instructed us in writing to continue shipping despite the pricing issue. When we notified him that our import incentives were not being applied correctly, he responded: "Ship them if they are ready and provide me with the tracking numbers to ensure we apply the correct incentives." (See Photo) We relied on that assurance. We had other shipping options available at pricing similar to our previous UPS contract rates. Had David simply told us to hold our shipments until the pricing issue was resolved, we would have done exactly that and avoided this entire situation. Instead, he instructed us to proceed, promising the correct incentives would be applied. That is the only reason we continued shipping through UPS. More than a year later, those promised adjustments still have not been made. To make matters worse, UPS later claimed the disputed balance was approximately $3,353, while the UPS Billing Center simultaneously showed an outstanding balance of nearly $36,000. We repeatedly requested documentation explaining this massive discrepancy and never received a clear or satisfactory explanation. Even more disappointing is the complete lack of leadership from David Medlen, David Arvizu's manager. After more than a year, neither David Arvizu nor David Medlen has taken ownership of resolving this issue or communicating in a meaningful way. Instead, we've been met with delays, excuses, and silence. This experience has completely destroyed my confidence in UPS. After being a loyal customer since 2012 and spending hundreds of thousands of dollars every year with the company, I expected accountability and professionalism. Instead, I've spent over a year chasing answers on a problem that began because I relied on the written assurances of UPS's own International Sales representative. If this is how UPS treats long-term, high-volume business customers, I cannot recommend their international services. There are other logistics companies that value their customers, honor their commitments, and take responsibility when problems arise.
