My backyard patio was already landscaped, but it had a small koi fish pond that I was trying to get rid of. I didn't want the fish, it was creating mold/attracting mosquitos to the water, and the pumps took up a lot of space. So I wanted to remove it completely while still maintaining the overall landscaping to look continuous without the pond. Additionally, I wanted my fence to be reinforced and repainted. What sounds and looks like a relatively simple task was actually quite hard. They had to demo the concrete while saving the pieces so they could re-use it later. The floor tiles had to be matched as close as possible. Ultimately, his team worked really hard over 3 days and did a great job. I have used William 2x in San Francisco. His work is top notch. The first job involved cutting a lawn and pruning back two trees. We had Guillermo handle laying down 6 cubic yards of fresh turf soil in our back yard and sod -- we live on a hill so it was a lot of dirt lugging. He and his time busted ass and worked very fast, he was generous in his offers to pick up materials when the suppler's deliver windows weren't great. He was patient with all my precise instructions and detail oriented OCD, offered his own suggestions but was fine whether we took them or not. We were super happy with the final product -- compaction was good, the grade of the yard was spot on, and the sod laid very carefully. Price was fair, and flexible as the needs of the project changed mid-way. I will say that just given the specificity of our game plan, I felt glad that my wife spoke fluent Spanish at a couple points. There were was a point or two where I had to step in to adjust things as the work was being done; but in my view that's very normal for any contractor--even the best--and if you're very invested best to be around to oversee for the whole project. (Man, I sound like someone I wouldn't want to work for, but I'm a really nice guy I swear. I think I'd give myself 4 stars as a human for what it's worth.) read more

William came out Friday morning to provide a quote to cut weeds, rake pine needles and remove all of it from the hillside in my backyard (which is full of trees). He gave me a reasonable quote which I accepted and he started the job right then on the spot! He finished clearing the hillside, which had not been touched in the 4 years I lived here (and I am sure several years before that), in about 2.5 hours by himself! There's not enough space here to say how much we have appreciated his work and it's quality. We met Guillermo, the owner shortly after we bought our home. We needed someone to handle the mowing and check the irrigation system. He was friendly, eager to work, and he gave us a great price. We quickly found out he could do more than general yard work when we turned on the irrigation system for the first time and realized it didn't work. Construction of a fence by previous owners cracked the water pipes that ran near the fencing and we needed all new pipes. We were amazed at how quickly he and his crew completed the work.
