4 stars for quality work. 0 stars for ethical business…read morepractices I hired Melvin and George from La Económica Landscaping after receiving a written estimate from their coordinator, Cindy, for work that included: * Garden clean-up & hauling - $1,375 * Mulch + small brick installation (combined) - $650 Total: $2,025 And a recurring monthly maintenance fee at $200 The crew did a nice job with the clean-up. Their labor and craftsmanship were good. However, the way this business operates is extremely concerning. Even though the scope was clearly defined both verbally and in writing, the owner later tried to change the terms of the estimate, claiming parts of the agreed-upon work were "mistakenly included." Throughout the process, there were multiple "gotcha" moments, surprise clarifications, shifting explanations, and attempts to downplay what was originally promised. Despite the written estimate explicitly listing a "mulch + small brick installation (combined)", the brick installation was never completed. When I followed up, they claimed it had been a "mistake" in the estimate and refused to honor that part of the agreement. Communication became defensive, taunting, and unprofessional, and rather than resolve the situation collaboratively, the owner sent a $300 refund before we had even reached an agreement, then canceled my ongoing maintenance service altogether. It's disappointing, because the work quality itself was solid. But their business ethics and communication practices are sketchy. They seem more focused on short-term profit than building long-term relationships or standing by their written commitments. They told me the brick feature would enhance the look of my garden. I guess I'll never find out. If you decide to hire them, make sure every detail is documented and signed. Otherwise, expect last-minute changes and confusion about what you actually paid for.

We tracked down their TikTok page, loved everything we saw, and reached out. From the very beginning, Hector was incredibly responsive and professional. As our backyard plans evolved, Hector came out multiple times to remeasure the space, answer our questions, and offer thoughtful recommendations. We really leaned on his expertise, and his guidance helped us create a backyard that turned out even better than we had imagined. The project included new concrete, decomposed granite, fresh sod, and a new sprinkler system. Throughout the entire process, Hector and his crew were organized, respectful of our home, and incredibly hardworking. They worked through some extremely hot days without ever cutting corners, and their attention to detail and efficiency were truly impressive. What stood out just as much as the quality of their work was the communication. Hector kept us informed every step of the way, both before, during, and after the project. It's clear that Bautista Landscaping is a family-run business that genuinely cares about their customers and takes great pride in their work. We absolutely love our backyard and are so grateful we found them. We recommend Bautista Landscaping to everyone we know, and we'll definitely be using them again when we're ready to redo our front yard and fencing.

We were so impressed with their performance that we wouldn't consider using anyone else. Every worker was professional and always went the extra mile for us. We sometimes had children at the house and never once had to worry about bad language or poor behavior by the crew. Why 5 stars? They came in on budget, on time, and the quality of work was exceptional. Diego had creative ideas that made the project better than our initial requirements. Would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

We had a fantastic experience with VR Landscaping…read more I had multiple companies come out to give an estimate for a retaining wall that needed to be redone in our back yard. Put of all the consultations, Diego stood out because he had an infectious excitement about our project. He had ideas, warned me of possible pitfalls, and help to really crystallized the vision I had for the upgrade into an actionable plan. We were actually going out of town when they were next available, so they came and completed the entire job while we were on vacation. I HIGHLY reccomend this company to anyone. They were very fair with the pricing and even when changes needed to be made to the plan, Diego went out of his way to make sure we stayed within budget. I will definitely be using them for our next project

The lawn, decorative plants, sprinklers, and drainage were all replaced. We are extremely happy with the outcome. The staff QGL sent was professional and communicative. Chris was our project manager and on site we mostly worked with Paco and a small crew of 2-3 people depending on the day. The project took about 7 weeks. We got 5 bids and Chris' team came in mid-range. At the time of collecting bids, it seemed a fair price for the work. Now that the project is done I'd say it was an excellent value and the best price for the quality of work we got. We especially appreciated Chris' input on the design and plant selection. We had a design from a landscaper, but made a few changes to the shape of the driveway, a small rock wall, and adding a tree. All of Chris' suggestions were fantastic- expanding the driveway line, using Napa basalt, and adding a Crepe Myrtle. Like any project there were a few hiccups,(change to paver pattern near edge, electrical line accidentally cut when tearing up old driveway) but everything was fixed quickly and professionally. The team also phased how the pavers were laid so that we always had a clear and paved walkway to either our door or garage. Tools were put away at the end of the workday and areas swept- this was especially helpful given that we have two young children. We've had at least 5 sets of neighbors tell us how great the front yard looks now. We've done a lot of major upgrades to our house in the 6 years we've lived here (new roof, exterior paint, pool resurfacing, solar install, interior flooring & paint), but this has definitely been the best overall experience and outcome. When we update our backyard, we will definitely call QGL!

Francisco showed up early on the day that they were supposed to give me a quote. My before pictures dont do the work they had to do justice cause the back and side yard was covered with weeds that were at least 4ft tall, some spare wood parts, and dog poop everywhere cause we lost track of where to pick up their poop cause of all of the weeds. They were able to do the cleanup in just a day! It was so amazing to watch our back and sideyard transform so quickly right before our eyes. They also found that the gutter drain from our roof was just draining out into our sideyard in an area with no drain. We had no idea! And i was so grateful that Francisco and Jorge wanted to do right by us and make sure that we didnt have any problems down the road. The team dug a trench for the drain all the way to the street under our existing stamp concrete without damaging it. I was blown away with how fast and efficient they were able to do this. We also had an old well that we weren't using and an old pump we acquired from the prior owners of the home. We wanted to use the well water but didnt know how. Francisco and his team found the problem and fixed it for us. I know this was a challenge for them but they would stay a little later sometimes so they can fix it for us and make the deadline i gave them. They even worked on a Saturday to get the work done. They got it done and beautiful in just 6 days and even used our well water as the source for watering all our plants and lawn. There were days he would even mow our front lawn for us and trim my existing plants so that it would all look nice. Plus Francisco was so easy to work with, pleasant and great to talk to as well. they sent us an itemized invoice too for all of the work so we could easily keep track of the work that was done. All in all they did a Fantastic job! If i could give them 10 stars i would. I highly recommend Green Walnut! They are fast, efficient and thorough and they do a really excellent job!
