I was extremely impressed with Expert Gate and the entire experience from start to finish. I worked directly with Izzy, the General Manager, and he was exceptional. He responded quickly, provided a competitive quote, and delivered everything on schedule. What stood out most was his professionalism and attention to detail. He took the time to ensure every measurement and every aspect of the installation was done correctly. The team completed the job right the first time, and the quality of their workmanship exceeded my expectations. If I could give Expert Gate and Izzy 10 stars, I absolutely would. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for outstanding service, quality craftsmanship, and a team that truly cares about doing the job right. read more

Pretty strong on the initial interaction / installation front. Izzy is very responsive initially. Later on, when we have had a number of issues with the gate, Izzy becomes a lot less responsive and will eventually ghost you. These guys do not stand by their work. We are making a claim with the California AG and going after their license. Beware. read more

Joe, Miguel, and team at Expert Gate Company have been great to work with. The scope of our project was in two parts: replace our driveway gate and make it powered, and then later replace the front fence and pedestrian gate, this time incorporating a built-in parcel box and security hardware. Expert Gate's craftsmanship is rock solid and we're really happy with the results. We live on a downslope hill with MANY utility lines underground to literally work around. It was a complicated project that required an entirely custom fabrication to follow the grade of the ground, with posts in really specific positions. We worked with Joe as our Project Manager, and throughout the process he was attentive and receptive to feedback, quote negotiations, and design requests along the way. There were 3 things that popped up over the duration of the project. We kept having issues with the gate operator that took longer than anyone wanted to deal with. It ended up being a series a faulty parts from Liftmaster, and nothing to do with the installation from these guys. Additionally, there were a couple of details that I wish were incorporated into the quotes, such as measurements and design mockups (we had to talk about a couple of things and make decisions in real time, which could have been mitigated if we had more specifics on the quote & planning process). Finally, the overarching project time for the front fence did take a little longer than expected. We had to have the front of the house in a bit of a construction state for a few weeks, but ultimately the end result is polished and very well executed, and we're happy with how everything turned out. Those minor issues aside, were still glad to have worked with EG and will gladly work with them in the future. Thanks again to Joe, Miguel, and the crew! read more

I had a great experience with Expert Gate Company. He had the best reviews, IG account was great for visual reference and they were the best price out of the three I looked into. Also, they were ready to go within a week! Took the guys about eight hours to put it up. They responded to my messages quickly, which I liked. I've already recommended them to my friends. read more

My old gate was sagging badly, so I reached out to them for a quote on a new wood gate with a metal frame. The guy came out exactly as promised to take a look and give me an estimate. After comparing their price with a few other companies, they were definitely the most reasonable option. They had the whole project finished within two weeks. They honestly could have completed it even faster, but I had a lot of other yard work going on at the same time and didn't want them to rush it, which they were perfectly accommodating of. The new gate is finished beautifully, and given the quality of the work, I fully expect this one to last a very long time. Highly recommend! read more

We recently had The Expert Gate Company install a steel fence and gate for us, and we're very pleased with the result. The turnaround time was quick, without any compromise on quality -- the steel fence looks solid and well-crafted. From start to finish, Izzy provided excellent service. Izzy was consistently responsive, and answered our questions promptly. That level of communication made the entire process smooth and stress-free. read more

I used this company to repair a bent gate post caused by an inattentive driver. They were quick to look at the damage and give me an estimate, which I thought was fair. They responded quickly and repaired my gate in a few hours! My gate had been sagging and driving me crazy for quite a while. We had some beautiful gates installed, at a reasonable price, in 2025 and we love them. That experience went very well. In 2026, recently, one of the gates was no latching consistently so we called for help. I was so pleased to get a quick response, good service, and the problem easily remedied. I was afraid that, since they already had been paid for the installation last year, that they would not be responsive with something small or would "nickel and dime" us for a correction that should have been done without charge (and it was). When we have more work that falls within their scope, we will start with them. read more

Never got back to me, despite reminders to get the quote. Highly disappointed. Do not recommend it.

I usually don't take time to leave reviews but my experience with Joe and the Expert Gate Company was fantastic. I had been wanting to put a dual gate in for over 2 years but all the quotes and people that came out left me questioning the quality and professionalism that they would deliver. I am pretty particular about the small details and Joe portrayed confidence and assurance that the job would be done to my high standard. While the gate did take a few weeks to fabricate the quality and craftsmanship was outstanding. All the welds that were made were smooth and the power coat finish was top notch. The communication process of where things were at and when they were coming out were on track. I would highly recommend The Expert Gate Company to any one looking for top quality and outstanding value for what you pay for. read more

Motorized my existing uphill swing iron car gate. Install was fast and professional. Reasonable pricing. Overall good work

I contacted the Expert Gate Company because after 21 years our fence started to sag. Years of hot and cold weather made it sag and then difficult to latch. We also needed a self closing spring added on the gate because we have a pool. They come out to review the job and provide me with a quote. The job started three days later and my husband is so pleased with the results. The gate now has heavier and adjustable hinges in addition to a heavy duty latch. No more staging. The team they sent out were professional and did an excellent job cleaning up. They drilled a new whole in the pavement to accommodate us keeping the lager gate open and painted all their work. Again we are pleased with the results. As far as value goes I think the price was fair. read more

I called this company based on their 4.9 star review on yelp. I spoke with the owner manager, Izzy.. explain to him what was happening with our gates and by chance he was going to be in my area the following day. He came out, spent a few hours trying to troubleshoot my issues and find a solution for my problems. Unfortunately, my intercom system was old and no longer functioning. He installed a DoorBird communication intercom for my gate and we could not be happier. The Expert Gate Company - A beautiful new automated gate. - Fences & Gates Near Me

I reached out to the Expert Gate Company for a quote to upgrade our current automatic driveway gate. Out of all the companies I reached out for to get quotes, they were one of the few who made the time to come out and Izzy took the time to make sure he fully understood what I was looking for and provided a few options (this was the only company to provide options, others just came back with a price, sometimes requiring me to follow up as to what model the quote was based on). Not only was he great to work with, he also wanted to ensure that his company had the best quote. When he said that his team could be out the next morning to complete the work, I was sold. They showed up a little earlier than scheduled and got right to work. Within 1.5 hours they were done and it looks and works great. Thanks Izzy and team! read more

Joe and his installation team, Miguel and Manuel, delivered as close to a perfect gate as is possible. Overstatement? Maybe, but it's a thing of beauty that makes me smile everytime I come home. I had an initial design in mind, and they made suggestions to make it better, and instead of a big ugly black or aluminum rectangle I got an arched and secure gate whose color I got to choose (to match one of the house accent colors). And it blends with the front facade architecture (arched windows with a lintel that crosses the front of the house) in a way that makes it seem an integral part of the overall design, instead of an afterthought paste-on. No hesitations at all in recommending The Expert Gate Company or in giving them 5 stars; they came; they estimated (the lowest one I received, btw); they built; they left behind a completely satisfied customer. The initial installation seemed fine but problems arose later but within the warranty period. Company very reluctant to follow up when issues brought to them. Refuse to take responsibility for any problems and took multiple calls and nagging to get them to come and look at the problem. Always blaming problems on things beyond their control. Charged me for an alteration to the initial installation that should have been done in the first place. I would never use this company again and do not recommend them to anyone. read more

Wow Izzy and his team were incredible! From my initial outreach, we received a quote and had a gate and pedestrian gate up and running (automated) in one month. Very organized, professional and thorough in their work. This is your absolute one stop shop if you need a gate. I just finished a project with Joe and Lewis. They were wonderful to work with. Very responsive and reasonably priced. Really quick, efficient and high quality gate install. Worked with the Expert Gate Company on a custom gate with a unique size with very specific needs. The team was helpful, willing to help price comparison, and was kind enough to price match based on other quotes we received. The team was also went above and beyond on a few areas - we had paid for a a section of the fence to be simple wood since it was outside of our budget and it was hidden behind some shrubs. Izzy and his team went above and beyond to make sure everything was aesthetically pleasing, and built an extra frame for that section. This wasn't something that they needed to do, they just did it bc they wanted to make sure that everything came together beautifully. We really appreciated that. We will definitely work with The Expert Gate Company team again. Appreciate the hard work and checking in on us to make sure set up for app and electric was completed. read more
