I'm not one to recommend any business, but I will share my experience with Tropical Landscape. I'm one of those who have no idea what flowers go with what, how much sun, water??? Joana and Israel are the owners. They are both personal and professional. They went above and beyond. Joana gave me sketches of what she thought might work. I chose one, and before you know it, they were off and running. They trimmed the bushes that I had badly trimmed. They tilled a very small section of the 4 areas. They added soil, then put that black vinyl material to keep the weeds from growing & placed wire to keep the cats away. Some landscapers will use a line for the drip system; they have one for each plant individually. They added the mulch, and there we are. I'm so pleased. I gave them a blank sheet of paper, and what they gave me was a very pleasant, welcome to my home, landscape kind of feeling. They checked all the sprinklers, took me to show where the sprinkler heads were clearly ones that needed to be replaced. Isrqal showed me the sprinkler head; one was normal, and another, I could see why it had to be replaced. He could have used the "upsell" maneuver, but he didn't. Two of their employees were "worker bees" - I swear they didn't stop, and if they did, it wasn't for long, even in these 90-degree days. I made sure they had a case of water so they could grab a bottle at any time. When they were done, if I didn't know better, it was as if they weren't ever there; they even leveled a spot. Joana and Israel had a professional and personable approach. They made me feel as if I were the only account they had. I showed her my backyard. I told her, come Spring, after I save a few pennies, this is one challenge she can anticipate. AGAIN: I'm sharing my experience only! read more

Joana promptly responded to my request for an appt for a quote. She and Israel came and listened to my request, and gave me some ideas on how to proceed. They quoted a fair price for the work. Israel and Manuel came out the following week and did an amazing job trimming trees, cleaning up my out of control bougainvillea and fixed my lime tree that needed some support. They have been in business for just over 2 years. Fast and quick booking/estimate. Israel is a very nice guy. Despite a slight language barrier, he is very communicative on recommendations and insights to ensure that you get what you want, and better. He is cleaning up the yard and property after a tenant moved out. There was some trash left on the side yard and there was a huge spider problem. For this current project, Israel was the only one that showed up and serviced me. His team was working on other multiple projects at the time, so he showed up by himself and arrived earlier than the ETA, and stayed late. Unfortunately, he was not able to complete it within a day, and informed me that he would show up the next day to finish up. A very dedicated man. I offered to pay half of the service for now, but he declined. He wants to make sure that everything was completed first, before accepting the bill. It was a lot of work to do solo. Clearing tree up to 9 feet and clearing landscape debris multiple times with his small trailer, within 12 hours first day + 6 hours second day. He was kind enough to help me move the trash out and freshen up the garage (blowing out all the dust). He even made sure to check for any hazardous remains that may hurt a pedistrian or vehicle driving by. Then sprayed the entire property + sidewalk perimeter to prevent further weeds. For the price, I am very impressed and say it is fair. I appreciate that he called me ahead of time to give an estimated finish time, and for me to check the property to fix any last-minute things, before leaving. Had another service company before at a slightly higher price. Team of 6 people, quick 45 minutes and left. No communication, just asked for bank transfer and left. The property was left dirty and unpolished (bushes weren't tended nicely either). For me, this was a night and day difference. Would recommend. read more
