When I gave Alvaro Martinez a chance and rehired him, true to to his word, Alvaro fixed the problem with my front yard and backyard lawn although I had to pay $400.00 for aeration, reseeding, and topsoil. I guess from now on, if there's anything wrong with the lawn, I have to call his attention right away so the problem gets fixed right away. Alvaro has also been checking the sprinklers periodically to make sure that the grass gets watered evenly. I'm going to change Alvaro's rating to 5 stars for the effort he made to revive my lawn and keep monitoring that yard is maintained properly. read more

When my mother passed away a few years ago I hired Fresh Edge to clean up all the leaves & periodically spray for weeds. There were no lawns to mow. They started out great. Than they started skipping weeks. Im guessing they figured out the house was vacant & no one would notice. But we were there regularly in the evenings & weekends cleaning & painting to get the house ready to sell. I had to call him more & more about them skipping visits. I finally had it when I went to the house & the yard & sidewalks were blanketed with leaves. I called Aldo & told him his crew no showed yet again. He lied & said yes they did that he was even with them. Not only was it obvious they hadnt, the green wasted cans were empty & we checked the security camaras. It was a flat out lie. Not once did he call & say we missed this week etc. He was expecting to get paid for work they never did. My brother & I were grieving, both working full time jobs & trying to fix up the house. The last thing we needed was to have to do the yards also. But since Aldo was flaking & dishonest we had to take care of the yards ourselves. Alvaro fixed a leaking sprinkler and seeded a section of my lawn where the broken sprinkler had left dead patches of grass. He also removed a dead bush and planted a new one, adding a drip line where there had been none. His estimate was reasonable and his work was thorough and well done. my response to the owner: please do not tell me that this 30 problems all surface 42 days later after you "fixed" my irrigation system. I never showed you the water bill and it was ok before you asked me to turn the irrigation system to 7 days a week. You never mentioned to me that my irrigation has problems and you did not fix anything. Had you told me about them, I would have paid to ask you to fix them. I don't mind paying $1000 to fix them now. I would not have minded to pay you to fix them then. I asked the owner to service my yard twice a month. For the first time, I paid extra to ask the owner to examine my backyard irrigation system. The owner said he checked everything. however, after I hired another team, we discovered that 2 leaky valves, 2 leaky pipes, 2 malfunctioning sprinkle heads in my lawn, 10 to 15 dripping heads clogged or turned off. All dripping heads were not having enough water pressure because of the valve leaks and pipe leaks. The owner turned up my water irrigation system to 7 days a week. My water bill shot sky high this month due to the increased water volume AND the leaks. This is unacceptable. I had to pay a plumber for an emergency fix as well as hiring a professional irrigation team to fix the leak, totaling $700 spent, not including my waterbill. Very disappointed! read more

I can't say enough good things about this company. The owner has been unbelievably supportive. Anytime something goes wrong--whether it's a broken sprinkler or dead patches in the lawn--he's here the very next day reseeding and repairing. His crew works hard and gets it done efficiently.
