After meeting with other landscape companies, my choice was to go with Alan at Green Planet Landscape. It wasn't just about the price quote, but Alan's thoughtful ideas and recommendation made us trust him even more with the project. He would make sure our backyard would look amazing and presentable. He drew a sketch design for us to submit to the HOA. After we got an approval from the HOA for the project, Alan scheduled us within a few days. Alan first introduced me to Angel to have him do a walkthrough around the backyard. We had them install stone walls, pavers, artificial turf, and planter beds. The project lasted about 3 days and they did a fantastic job on transforming our backyard. My wife is so in love with plants and was very happy they planted her plants in the soil. I phoned Barry and immediately I knew I had someone who not only knew what he was talking about but was extremely friendly. Barry quoted me a price that beat a couple of places I called and the next morning he was here on time, in fact he was a bit early and was concerned about arriving ahead of schedule and he did call us way before he arrived. He looked at the lawn he knew exactly what kind of lawn it was and explained what he was going to do in great detail. Two hours later the lawn looked green like it was able to breathe again. He cleaned up the front so nice and now my Gardner will take it from here. He handed me a three page sheet on what the name of the type of grass I have, the type of fertilizer that should be used and when and how much to water. It was worth every single penny and more. Our system was really old and broken…read more They were fast with getting in to fix the system we called them in the morning and they were there in the afternoon. They replaced our timer, most of the sprinkler heads, fixed the multiple broken pipes and capped off the unnecessary sprinkler heads, which we had alot of. They also gave us tips on how to save our dying grass in the front now that we have our sprinklers fixed it should be easier to maintain. Greg is a nice guy,…read moreand I really like him personally, which is why I honestly didn't want to have to write this review. However, I feel like my job was relatively small and simply wasn't a high priority. I was originally told the job would take about 4-5 days, but it ended up taking closer to three months. Greg told me they would start on June 22, but that didn't happen. I believe they actually started the work around July 28 and finally finished on August 24. There were several times when the guys were supposed to show up in the morning, but they wouldn't arrive until the afternoon, would only work for part of the day, or wouldn't show up at all. Greg was always very nice and had an explanation, but the delays became frustrating. Unfortunately, after the job was completed and I had made the final payment, I noticed there was a gap underneath my gate where the turf did not cover the ground. I first contacted Greg about it on August 27, and a month later, I'm still trying to get it fixed. I've attached a picture so you can see the issue. Greg told me he doesn't have any extra turf left to fill the gap, but said he would come back and replace the bricks that were there previously. I'm still waiting to see if that happens. Overall, Greg is a nice person and I believe he means well, but based on my experience, I would recommend making sure you have a clear timeline before hiring them. If you have a larger project, you may have a different experience, but if you have a smaller job, I would personally consider getting another company to do it. I'll update this review if and when the gap is finally fixed. I guess all I had to do was post this review because Greg came by and fixed it today so I added a star to my review.
