My family and I have been seeing Dr. Chao and his team for many years at both the Irvine and Fullerton locations - they are simply outstanding. In the past, we've done cataract surgery (for my dad), routine checkups, and most recently for myself, PRK surgery. In every instance, we've been absolutely impressed with Dr. Chao's team of professional, knowledgeable, and kind staff members. In 9/2020, I went to get a consultation about Lasik vs. PRK surgery with Dr. Chao. He patiently walked me through the relative advantages of each procedure and which was the right one for me. My PRK procedure (10/2020) was incredibly smooth; some of my friends had less than ideal experiences with other practitioners, but I'm happy to report my procedure and recovery process went perfectly. Dr. Chao and his team did an amazing job of caring for me, carefully explaining what I should expect, and always making me feel like I was being treated with the highest level of expertise. I just came in for my three-month follow-up and could not be happier I decided to work with Dr. Chao. It's rare to find such a wonderful team of medical professionals. I genuinely enjoy coming in to see Dr. Chao! My advice is to listen to the onslaught of five-star reviews (especially those from people who actually work in healthcare) and book an appointment with Dr. Chao's office. I've seen the optometrist there as well and again, runs a tad late but will sit with you until all of your questions are answered. She encouraged but did not pressure me at all to purchase glasses from the office. I've had multiple experiences with tech, Jamie and she is top notch. So friendly and warm. She is also very knowledgeable and really helps patients out. She kept me up to date on my preauthorizations so I didn't have to chase down answers. She is also certified to do the Lipiflow and she made sure I was very comfortable for the entire 15 minutes. Some of the front desk staff and techs are really rude so be prepared for that. I was referred to NVISION by my optometrist when discussing LASIK surgery, and was lucky enough to…read morehave a location that was just a quick drive from my house. I was very nervous and a little unsure about going forward with LASIK when I was first referred, but thanks to the staff at NVISION, my experience from start to finish was smooth and easy. After being referred, NVISION Fullerton reached out to me and quickly set up a free consultation. During this they tested my eyes, answered any questions I had, and determined if LASIK was a good option for me. I really appreciated how upfront and honest they were the entire time, and the friendliness of the entire staff made me feel comfortable trusting them with my eyesight. I was quoted around $6000 for my surgery (you do pay a $250 deposit upon booking your surgery date) and financing options through CareCredit are available. I did opt for their Contoura LASIK procedure which was extra, so your price may vary depending on what you choose. I felt it was worth it to go all out for my vision, but I appreciate that the staff did not actively try to upsell me on the procedure. In fact, they even mentioned that if at any point before the surgery, the doctor decided Contoura wouldn't benefit me, they would let me know and go through with a standard procedure. I want to thank Stephanie specifically for helping me out so much during this entire process. She answered so many of my questions, went over financing options, and assisted in arranging my surgery dates. On top of this, she would send reminders as my surgery date approached, and created a plan for me follow before as well as after my surgery. Even when I decided to move my surgery earlier, she made it as easy and stress free as possible. In fact, every staff member at NVISION Fullerton was so friendly, and the professionalism from everyone made me feel confident in choosing them for my LASIK procedure. When my surgery date came, Franklin Lusby, M.D. performed the procedure on me. I had been told nothing but great things about him, both from the staff as well as my own optometrist. They give you medication to calm down, as well as numb your eyes and essentially walk you through the entire procedure. You maybe spend 10 minutes max under the knife (or lasers I should say) and then they give you some goggles, and send you to sleep for a whole day. By the next day, my optometrist had told me I already had better than 20/20 vision and the main discomfort had already passed. Post surgery can vary depending on how your eyes heal, but a month and a half out my eyes have pretty much gone back to normal, and my vision is great! My vision first started declining when I was 11 and this procedure has been life changing. For the first time in over a decade, I'm able to live my life without worrying about forgetting my glasses or running out of contacts to wear. I really want to thank everyone at NVISION Fullerton for making this possible, and I would not hesitate to refer anyone looking into LASIK to them.

My nurse she was really sweet she took all my tests before I met with the dr. I parked out front and you have to take the elevator up, but was a pretty quick visit. Did some tests and they dilated my pupils so that made my eyes really sensitive after that for some reason, but was able to drive home alright sort of. I was really blurry, dizzy and nauseous and felt like I needed to lay down when I got home so I did and took a nap. Never happened to me before after getting dilated, maybe this week has just been a bit much on me but I appreciated their kindness and the Dr was friendly too, I like how clean it is and they had some cute Halloween decorations up everywhere too.
