I really had high hopes for this school, considering this is where I went when I was in grade…read moreschool. From the very first time I ever enrolled my son, office staff has always shown a little bit of nonchalant rudeness. At times that I would need to go pick up my son early, or drop off lunch money, they're usually coherent but I never see any kind of smiles or friendliness. It's like ok, if you don't like working for or with kids, then why are you here? But today really upset me. I walked up to the office and it was "Drill " time. Some larger set woman yelled at me from the benches, "we're having a drill, you can't go in there". I walked closer to the group of women who apparently was the staff of Pomeroy, and asked if I could drop off money for my son's lunch because I'm on my way to work (which I would have been able to do in the office if it was open). The larger women said, "It's a drill, we can't". So in all defense I said "Well what am i supposed to do, leave my son with no money and let him starve? He needs lunch money" That is when this chunky Caucasian, red head looking woman stepped in and said "BY LAW---- BY LAW!! You can't leave this territory when we're in a drill." I'm just thinking in my head, #1 You didn't even answer my question-- all you care about is "laws", not the kids well-being/hungerness #2 Did I ever agree to trying leaving the site if there was a drill?? I literally was just there trying to drop off my son money for lunch. One thing for sure I know is true, this staff (or most) does not care about a child's interest. They are there for themselves. So petty.

The campus felt warm, organized, and well structured, and it was clear the students are happy and well cared for. One of the sweetest moments was seeing a few girls in my daughter's prospective classroom come up to say hello -- it truly reflected the nurturing environment. We're genuinely excited for her to start this upcoming fall and look forward to joining the Stratford community!

Thank you, Ms. Richa and Ms. Anna, for supporting my daughter's growth in the last school year!…read moreThey've created loving and fun environment for the pre-K kids to thrive - We have seen our daughter's confidence grow and develop growth mindset under their guidance over the course of the 7 months. They are both so attentive and really understands every kid's strengths. Ms. Anna is always full of energy and nailed the parent teacher conference on delivering our daughter's strengths and growth areas. Ms. Richa really cares about the kids' growths - I love that Ms. Richa truly treats us parents as partners in helping our daughter gain more confidence. Even during the school tour, Ms. Richa made my daughter feel comfortable, answered my questions thoroughly, and she's the reason why we picked Stratford and campus. My daughter loves her teachers and classmates so much that she asks us why there is no school on the weekends and holidays. That's the testament to the environment they've created.

Fantastic school. My daughter loves all her teachers and she gets a well rounded education…read more Unfortunately, as a public school, they still have to teach at a steady pace for all students which may be a little slower if your kid is a quicker on the uptake. We have to supplement her with additional home work at home. However, she's getting a quality education without us having to pay 10-20k for a private school. The most important thing is parent involvement. Money alone can't give your kid a quality education. This school has steadily gone up in ranks, and since the switch to Common Core testing instead of API, this is now a 10 ranked school. This just shows that the API can be gamed by rote memorization. As a parent, I had to relearn some of the concepts with Common Core, but it makes a lot of sense. I'm not sure why other parents hate it. The most important thing about Common Core is that there is not one way of getting the answers right. I teach my kids the curriculum method but I also teach them the old methods as well. Knowing more than one way to solve a problem and understanding *why* and *how* are the keystones of Common Core.
