We had an issue with rats due to recent construction in our neighborhood. They sent out a representative. I showed him areas of concern. He was very thorough and we discussed a plan. Due to miscommunication I was under the impression the entire exposed perimeter of our home would be rat proof when in reality 3/4 was completed and some of that wasn't up to our satisfaction. We took pictures and sent them to the representative, who advised us that I misunderstood about the entire perimeter, but agreed the areas of concern were not done correctly. Three techs later and it still wasn't done correctly. A manager came out and made empty promises to fix things and to discount work. Apparently he meant a discount for additional work at a cost to us. We asked several times for an itemized bill to explain the charges, and all we received was the original statement I hope Management takes this feedback seriously to improve communication and accountability skills.

We first called Attic Kings about 4 years ago after heavy rains led to rats getting into our attic…read more They caused a huge mess, and I was especially concerned about the urine, droppings, old insulation, and fiberglass getting into the rest of the house. Moshe came out right away, inspected everything, and gave us a very reasonable quote to seal all of the entry points, clean and sanitize the attic, deodorize the space, remove all of the old insulation, and eventually replace it with new insulation. One of the biggest concerns for me was cleanliness. We had just installed brand new carpet upstairs, and the attic entrance is right there. Moshe covered everything in plastic and actually created a contained tunnel from the attic all the way downstairs and out the door so the old insulation and debris never traveled through the house. That made me feel much more comfortable about having the work done. Moshe and his team were fast, clean, and efficient, but what I appreciated most was how thorough Moshe was. He took the time to explain everything, sent us detailed photos, and never made us feel rushed. Because we have two attic spaces that connect along the roofline, Moshe did not just seal everything and immediately put down new insulation. He left traps in place and came back for several weeks to make sure there were no rats still hiding somewhere or finding another way in. Only after we were all comfortable that the problem was completely resolved did he install the new insulation. I really appreciated that because the last thing I wanted was to spend money on new insulation and have it ruined again. 4 years later, we still have the trap up there and have not had another rat problem. Recently, we had a completely separate issue with yellow jackets that made an opening near the roofline and got inside the roof area. After pest control handled the yellow jackets, I called Moshe just to ask whether the opening needed some kind of special repair. He came out the very next morning, walked the perimeter of both rooflines, found a few small areas that had shifted or opened over the years, sealed the area where the yellow jackets got in, and even went back into the attic to make sure everything was still secure and there was no evidence of rats. There wasn't. What really impressed me is that this was years after the original work, and he still came out as a courtesy to check everything. That says a lot about the kind of person he is and how he runs his business. Another thing I really appreciate is that when you call Attic Kings, you actually get Moshe. You are not dealing with an automated system, a call center, or a different person every time. He is very hands-on, and the people he brings with him have always been professional, respectful and clean. We even scheduled the original work while we were away from the house, and I felt completely comfortable trusting Moshe and his team in our home. His pricing was competitive, the value was excellent, and most importantly, the work has held up for 4 years. It is getting harder to find small businesses where the owner still answers the phone, shows up personally, stands behind the work, and cares about maintaining a relationship with customers long after the job is finished. I contacted them because we were seeing Deer Mice in our garage. Chad, one of the owners, got in touch almost immediately and we scheduled an assessment of the property. He was on-time, polite, professional and easy to work with. Chad did a thorough survey of our garage and exterior of our home to find any entry points. He was able to locate where the mice were getting in and sent a plan of action with photos and diagrams showing entry areas. The company blocks some entries and installs one-way doors in main entry areas, so the mice can get out but not back inside, otherwise known as "exclusion".
