Always reliably delicious and outstanding! We were here on Saturday for lunch to celebrate a birthday. I had the homestyle pot pie, which had a delicious flaky crust and chunks of veggies and chicken. It came out piping hot. My companion had the spinach pappardelle. We've both enjoyed this dish before (in fact, it might be my favorite) and she assured me that it was delicious. We split the birthday dessert (on the house!), which was a special: panna cotta with orange curd, shortbread crumble, topped with lemon sorbet. Wildflower, if you are reading this, please add this to your regular menu!! The flavor combination was exquisite! read more

We went there today to eat lunch before heading back to the valley. The food was wonderful. Would highly suggest it to anyone. I was a little disappointed in the service though. They didn't come back to fill our water cup or even check on us. It is definitely a more upscale restaurant, so I would just think they would do that. read more

Wildflower - cold smoked salmon with chive crème fraiche, potato galette.(mini hash brown)..a little pricey...but wonderfully delicious. - New American Near Me - Tucson, Arizona

Really nice atmosphere and great food. Service was good as well. There aren't a lot of nice restaurants in Tucson, glad I found this place.

I kept my comments to myself, as I came here with a group for lunch who thought it was absolutely amazing. Let's just say this place to me is one of those places who puts a lot of money into the restaurant and ambiance. Definitely, this restaurant comes off as a higher price, higher class sort of restaurant. The food? Um. I've had better. These types of restaurants I'm always sort of wary when stepping in. You know, the type of restaurant where if you look out of place, you'll be stared at? This is what this restaurant reminded me of. So let's see, what did I order? I ordered the BBQ Chicken Tacos. And what I received were just about 3 tacos, a bowl of beans, and a lot of disappointment. It just didn't fulfill me, as far as the amount and the price. It didn't justify it. The taste was alright, but I could've definitely have found better tacos around Tucson. Maybe there were better dishes that I didn't order, but hey as I said this restaurant wasn't really my typical scene. Overall, the service was not too bad. The food was disappointing, but the service made this place a 3 star for me instead of any higher. I wish Yelp had .5's, because it would have gotten a 2.5, but I round. read more

Great food and ambience. However it does get crammed if there are too many people. Love their food.

Ok price for quality. Comes off as a ladies' luncheon place with chandeliers. Judging by the patrons, a place you visit to be seen. Had frequented this years ago & it's not the same, which we expected. Did the spinach pappardelle with pine nuts & chicken. Anything besides entree is extra. Servers seemed a bit frantic. read more

I have been here 3x now and each time has been absolutely fantastic! I love the covered "outdoor" patio area...you get the ambiance of an outdoor seating w/o the bugs or intense AZ sun. The service here has always been on par as well! From the hostess to the waitstaff and food runners! From the samplings I have had here, everything is just fantastic from the cocktails, to the apps, to the main entrees! They make excellent sangria here, and I would recommend the carafe to get the best bang for your buck. It is more than enough sangria for two people. My fav app are the pan fried edamame dumplings...I have actually made this a meal once, they were so good! The dipping sauce they come with is outta this world! My fav entree is the short rib ravioli. The short rib is perfectly prepared and the flavors are fantastic. My fav dessert are the "Bars of Sin"...this is divine death by chocolate and should not be missed! Anytime I visit Tucson, I definitely make a it a point to come and grab a late lunch bite (they are not super busy during the late afternoon in the early week in my experience) here and treat myself to a glorious food outing! read more

Busy and noisy. The food was decent, but I've had better. Service adequate. I ordered a New York steak extra rare. What I got was mediun to medium rare. Not acceptable. The second steak was raw and cold. I gave up. A bit too overpriced, but the crowd looked like that was what they wanted - some place to hold their pinkies out and pay too much for. Wife did say her bbq spare ribs were good, so there's that... read more

AMAZING !!! Braised Beef Short Ribs!!!! This was a great find. Short ribs are not on very many menus, and this is one of the best I have ever had. Tender and juicy, full of rich beefy flavor. The sides are great, make sure to get the apple squash stuffing. I want the recipe for the stuffing. I will be back. read more

I've lived in Tucson almost 7 years and barely tried this place for the first time a couple months ago. I have no clue why I waited so long because everything we ate was AMAZING. Making reservations was a breeze and the ambiance in this place is very upscale and romantic. The staff is super attentive and made excellent recommendations for dinner. We celebrated my grandparents 50th wedding anniversary here and they absolutely loved it. I went with the pan roasted chicken and every single bite was divine. I seriously talked about that dish for a good week after I ate it. The chicken was seasoned perfectly and the mashed potatoes were full of flavor. Their house bread is also pillow soft with a nice crusty edge. For dessert we had a sampling of things and each option was great! A new dinner favorite for us. read more

Wildflower - Dessert sampler - New American Near Me - Tucson, Arizona

Another pandemic disappointment. I have fond memories of Wildflower and even though I live a bit far now, wanted to go back for brunch. If you don't want to read further, the typical short staff and loosened standards that pervades the post-pandemic service industry is alive and well here too, but there are some good points. The waiter was polite, professional, and I don't fault him in the slightest for anything that befell us. The best part of the meal, the doughnuts for dessert, we brought home and they were spectacular, even coming out of a brown bag. If you want to hear the bad news... Firstly it suffers our common "stick the two dudes in the worst table" scenario as other restaurants. We had reservations and got led to a two-top scrunched less that a foot between two four-tops. It would have been a party of 10 for all practical purposes but we chose the table to the right, which was pleasant, didn't look into a department store, and didn't have 8 people in our business. Why is this so hard for people to do to realize that maybe we don't want to get stuck in the worst table when there are other tables around? Is it really their goal to fill an undesirable table? The problem isn't the customer here, it's why is there a table there in the first place; and if so, why use it unless it's the absolute last table available. Bad start. We ordered cocktails to chill. I ordered a mimosa and my partner, an aperol sprintzer, both of which apologetically by the waiter arrived late (there was no bartender). My mimosa tasted like canned orange juice and flat prosecco. It could have been made in a frat house. There weren't fluted glasses available we were told as well, so just as well as there were no bubbles to observe. We re-ordered the drinks with fresher prosecco and we didn't get new drinks but just a glass of extra prosecco. Whatever, we needed the drug to relax. We ordered as an appetizer the elote, which arrived in a ramekin. It was delicious and rich. We also ordered, what was in bolded, called an Heirloom Tomato and Avocado salad. So I pictured sliced big tomatoes and lots of avocado. The salad arrived, and it was chopped greens, garbanzo beans, cucumber, cherry tomatoes (which I don't like), and no avocados. I asked where the avocados were and they just offered to bring some, like it was an extra. We were brought, again in a small ramekin, about four tiny bits of avocado. It was a paucity for 50% of the salad name. Also, I wanted a salad with avocado, not a ramekin on the side. Again, they didn't offer to remake our product we didn't enjoy. It took a conversation with the manager to actually get an apology that the avocadoes were forgotten. They took the whole dish away. I was trying to convince myself to stay for more instead of just leave at this point; I was hungry. My dish arrived. Fish and chips. The fish was wonderfully done. The chips were sparse. It was served on a very small dish with a scoop of soupy coleslaw spilling into my fries, making them nice and wet. For once, I wished they had served something in a ramekin. I ordered a side of loaded baked potato, again, in a tiny ramekin, and it was rich and tasty but by now I felt I was eating either in first class on an airplane, or in a nice cafeteria at a nursing home, everything being served in these pitiful tiny containers and fearful I might over-indulge. We were asked how things were at this point because it was known they hadn't been good. I didn't want to have any more conversation about their overall concept, so I said things were fine, which they were. Fine. Meh. And I needed to weigh in on my disappointment versus enjoyment. I wasn't there to critique but to eat. I was done critiquing. So here I am offering my overall concept. We stayed for some banana-y dessert, I believe another ramekin, and got the donuts to go, which led to a great aftertaste later at home. I had asked for a double espresso and it was promptly served, with lemon peel and sugar cubes, and for once I would have liked a tiny dainty spoon, but I used my fingers to put the sugar in the espresso. Forgetting to bring silverware is just what restaurants do now since they're more interested in taking things away. But who needs details anymore post-pandemic. Should anyone care anymore? read more

Thoroughly enjoyed the drinks, food and atmosphere. One of the best in the Oracle Rd area. Strongly recommend!

Date night and wildflower never disappoints. We always ask to be seated on the patio. The patio is beautiful and comfortable. The noise factor is less outside. Inside is so noisy. The special on Tuesday is 1/2 off bottles of wine. Which I think is great! We started off with the bread brought to our table. The olive oil season for the bread is so good. It has a little spice to it. We ordered a big pour of red wine and a mojito. The waiter apologized for taking a little longer but he said he had the Mojito made again because the first one wasn't quite right. We ordered fish and chips. The fish is always done just right and the fries and coleslaw also is done the best I've had. I ordered short rib ravioli and then as a side I got crispy brussels sprouts & bacon. The Brussels sprouts would be better if they put some balsamic vinegar on it. I probably will not order those again. You really can't lose eating here. The great patio. Great service. What a delightful experience! I went with a girlfriend to celebrate the upcoming holidays. We sat outside on the beautiful patio, and enjoyed the ambiance, and the great food! We had prosecco, the smoked salmon appetizer, and the farmers market salad - all absolutely perfect!! The salmon was so delicious that my friend remade it at home for Christmas breakfast. It was on top of crispy, thin hash brown-type potatoes and cream cheese! It paired perfectly with the prosecco! The salads were hearty and filling, and the service was spot-on! This is a great date night spot. The vibe and decor is relaxing. I love the round blue velvet booths. They are cute, comfy and intimate. They always have a soup of the day and I have yet to be disappointed. They make great cocktails and they don't skimp on the alcohol. They start you off with bread and parmesan oil. I've had the pot pie, bacon wrapped pork loin, and this last time I had the braised beef short rib and it was delicious! It was tender and the sauces was flavorful! The dish comes with cheese grits l, but I substituted the grits for mashed potatoes and I was not disappointed! read more

we had a group of us go to eat. the mussels were great and so was the bread. my bacon wrapped tenderloin was supposed to just come with a potato dish and mushrooms, the waitress decided I should have it as it says on the menu! I asked about this and was told it was the same price so I gave you it all!! the reason I asked for it like I did is because I dont like squash! I was then told they had run out of the potato dish I ordered so I went with truffle fries, no problem they were good but came out ten minutes before the rest of my meal. For a fine dining restraint supposedly they need to sort themselves out. very disappointed overall read more

Four of us had dinner at Wildflower on Feb. 4th at 6:15pm. We chose to sit outside on the patio as the inside of the restaurant was a bit noisy for us. I have found that for dinner, this is more the norm than not--the interior noise at lunch is not an issue. All that being said, Wildflower did not disappoint. Two of us had the Scallops and Black Rice and it was excellent. My wife had the Ahi Poke, which she said was excellent also. For dessert we had the Banoffee Trifle--an absolute keeper. Another had the Cinnamon Donuts, which he thought were excellent. Our server did a wonderful job attending to us and we rewarded her accordingly. All in all a solid 4 star restaurant and we will return. read more

1. The Food: Delicious, absolutely love this place. The dishes are new American, some of the dishes have a twist in their flavors such as the calamari had an Thai flavor and the tacos were bbq. I had the salmon with potatoes and arugula - was perfectly cooked salmon and the potatoes were creamy. The other dishes were tasted by my friends and they seemed to have all enjoyed their dish, I would guess you can't go wrong with anything on their menu! 2. The Ambiance/ Service: I would probably just come here for the ambiance. The outdoor patio is very chic and elegant. Its a great place for a romantic dinner or a group of friends getting a nice drink with dinner or apps. The patio is very spacious and is enclosed so you aren't viable to outsiders watching you eat. The inside is semi-formal and chic. 3. Recommendation - Would I go again/ what I recommend it for: This place is one of my favorite restaurants in Tucson! I would recommend it for dinner and the ambiance for a chic-y upscale dinner! It is definitely worth a try and coming back for! read more

Brought the grandparents down to see my daughter at UofA and had dinner here. Let's start with WOW! The team was friendly and the service was superb. We started with appetizers: mussels were great - fresh and tasty along with the Brussels sprouts - nothing left in those plates! Christian took very good care of us. Kaylee the hostess was delightful!! Dinner consisted of 3 having bacon wrapped tenderloin, 1 shrimp and avocado bowl and I had the scallops (and snuck a side of the loaded smashed potatoes). All were prepared great! Really a very enjoyable experience out in the patio. When sitting there, it certainly does not feel like you are sitting in a shopping center! We've been coming here for years. The food is always good and the service excellent. The Asian Chicken Salad is very yummy.

I am seldom disappointed by any Fox Concept, and Wildflower definitely upheld that trend. I'd been a couple times before, years back, but revisiting this most recent time cemented how much I like it here. After a long week, the dude and I decided to go out for dinner at a little bit of a nicer place--a "treat yo'self" meal, if you will. I kind of wish we had sat outside because it was shockingly nice out (thanks, monsoon season!) and just a smidge rainy--my favorite weather, plus their patio is adorable and amazing. But alas, we grabbed a table inside where it was just a touch chilly... though to be fair, I'm almost always cold. Must be a result of the icy heart. We had a reservation, but it didn't seem very necessary as it wasn't too busy at 7pm on a Friday. Our drinks were excellent, and we both really enjoyed the grilled artichoke we had to start. I would like the aioli it's served with to come on all of my meals from here on out, please. Also, the bread and olive oil to start? Amazing. I can't count the amount of times I've just had bread, olive oil, and balsamic as a full meal (don't judge me, it's delicious), but this olive oil was top notch, with basil and red pepper, and salt and black pepper to top it off. Yum, still dreaming about it. I chose the short rib ravioli for my meal, and am still patting myself on the back for that decision. They were cooked perfectly, stuffed absolutely to the brim of tender and tasty short rib. The chard and mushrooms and truffle cream played perfectly together, and everything was just fantastic; plus, it was a good amount of food. Always appreciated. The fella went for the paella. To preface, he loves paella and has had a decent amount of it; he said this one was pretty lackluster. The shellfish and meat were all cooked wonderfully, but he said the rice just completely lacked the flavor that paella should have, and it just seemed like standard boiled rice rather than being prepared in a paella pan or cast iron skillet or what have you. Bit of a bummer. We were too full for dessert this go-around, but that just means we'll have to come back! read more

Disappointed....for the first time. I've been to Wildflower many times while living in Tucson. Tonight's dinner was a major disappointment. (March 1) I had family in from out of town so it was a special occasion for all of us. Perhaps because it was a busy Friday night or maybe it's a change in personnel.....I don't know. Our waiter seemed overwhelmed and wasn't able to be attentive as they usually are....My food, (the calamari appetizer for one) was terribly over salted....it was sent back, uneaten but not comped. Our wine arrived after our first course was served. I was embarrassed to have brought my family to our much acclaimed favorite restaurant. I hope tonight was an aberration. I really do. It will be a while before I return. read more

Dinner with 3 companions on February 29, 2024. Their entrees were quite good; however, don't ever order the bolognese which is what I selected. It was a carb fest (2 slices of bread toasted, a plateful of overcooked pasta, about one tablespoon of ricotta plopped on top and truly only about 2 tablespoons of bolognese sauce, if that much. It was disgusting. Terribly disappointed. The restaurant really made money off my meal. They should remove it from the menu if they aren't planning to change it. read more

One Saturday night, the partner-in-dine and I dressed up to the nines and showed up at Wildflower at 7:00. We had made a reservation online and were promptly seated at a corner booth with a premier view of the whole restaurant interior. We took a moment to take in the posh and tasteful interior. Then, the menu came. We commenced the much-awaited dining event with the highly popular chef's board as our appetizer. It was a smorgasbord of delectable delights which stirred even the most dormant of taste buds. Next came the main course. We had really planned on getting the Short Rib Ravioli but, unfortunately, the Fates were not smiling down upon us that night. In short, the restaurant was out of the Short Rib Ravioli. So, the partner-in-dine picked the Lemongrass Skewered Scallops and I settled for the Spanish paella. We munched on the complimentary bread which tasted fresh and of floury goodness while waiting for our entrees. I enjoyed my paella although it didn't blow me away. It didn't really stand out from the other paella I'd had in the past. There was no zing to its tang. The partner-in-dine was less than impressed with his scallops. It was a plate of saltiness through and through with no other flavors to balance it out. The texture of the greens on top of the scallops didn't go well with the scallops. We didn't want to leave the restaurant with the taste of disappointment in our mouths so we ordered the highly raved Bars of Sin for dessert. I loved the decadence of the praline chocolate cookie. It was a sweet ending to a lackluster evening. read more
