Rented a bear canister, jet boil, and sleeping bag for my son's first backpacking trip to Big Pine Lakes. They were accommodating on short notice and very easy to work with! Reasonable prices and great customer service. I will definitely rent from them again! Thank you!

The Narrows at Zion National Park

I went on the Camp and Hike Zion Adventure. This trip was absolutely amazing. Before we started we received emails from Chris letting us know the details on what to bring, where to meet and his phone number. The day of, we met at the Walmart right outside of the National Park so we could pick up any last minute things that we needed. After we were done, we drove to the park and our campsite. Chris was constantly coming over to see if we were ok setting up our stuff and letting us know they were there to help if we needed anything. Since we got there a little later in the day, we set out on a quick mini hike on a trail that started in the campgrounds. When we came back, they had a dinner ready for us. I am vegetarian and another woman is gluten free. Both of us were well taken care of. Day 2 we set off for Angel's Landing. This was a strenuous hike but the whole Wilderness Trio group was so understanding of all of the different abilities. There was always someone in the front of the group and the back of the group even if we were spread out over a long distance. Josh was especially great with my friend because she is scared of heights. He stayed with us the entire time when we got to the part that gets a little nerve racking and made sure she felt safe. It helped me out a ton because I didn't have to worry as much about her and I could enjoy myself a little more. After that hike Josh took a group of us and we headed to the emerald pools. That was a pretty short easy hike com paired to Angel's Landing. When we got back Chris was all about river tubing...We were hesitant because of how cold and tired we were but if Chris says it will be a good time, believe him....We had a blast! The water was cold but it felt great on our tired legs and there were so many laughs. I hate being cold and I loved every second of it. Day 3 we went to The Narrows. Chris said this would ruin every other hike for you. He was absolutely right. This was so beautiful! To the point I was already planning my next trip in my head. We rented the water boots and pants because the water was cold but it was worth it. We had so much fun Josh, again, was right there when me and another girl went exploring and wanted to climb to see in a cave. After we finished there, we went to a Ghost Town, a cemetery from the 1800s, and went on a mini impromptu night hike. It was awesome. Every night we had a fire and smores. Almost every morning we had a fire to warm up after the cold nights. Things that I can suggest if you make the awesome decision to take this trip with these wonderful people... Bring clothes that dry quickly. Bring closed toe sandals that you can hike in. Bring food that is easy to eat on the go because it is non stop in a great way. Lots of sunscreen. Bring a very warm sleeping bag. The showers are a little ways away so bring baby wipes for a quick freshening up. If you have never camped before, rent the gear. The guys will help you set everything up. Don't be nervous about trying something new with them. They really will make everything easy for you. Thank you Wilderness Trio for truly making this an epic trip. I will see you on the next one!

Just got back from backpacking trip with this group and had an AMAZING time! Never would have done this on my own. And they made our food for us. I felt like a queen

I extremely satisfied with Wilderness Trio adventure to Yosemite and Half Dome. They provided great communication in preparation for our trip. I flew in from Arizona and was glad that they provided gear for trip. Noah was a great guide, he consistently made sure everyone in our group was doing well. I met some great people. I really enjoyed how group came together and helped each other at our campsite and encouraged each other on our hikes.Yosemite was absolutely beautiful, I am so glad I embarked on such amazing adventure. Definitely would book another trip with Wilderness Trio.

Whoever was working the guns with the dark hair and the trimmed dark beard working mainly the left side was a jerk. He didn't seem like he wanted to be there nor cared about anything. I asked him about the gen 5 glocks and he cut me off to say all glocks are illegal to sell in CA. Not what I was asking about and also false. I then was trying to inquire about a Ruger mark 4 and he was rude about how they have them but won't sell them but can order them. I still don't understand what he meant other than out of stock maybe? Anyway. Another customer came up behind me and asked this man a question and he scolded the customer and said he was with me, he was not and dragged me into it for some reason. He eventually got rid of the prospect and I proceeded to tell him I didn't want or need his help and to help the man he ignored. Instead he called up the next person in queue. Ironically enough, an employee was going off on a phone or radio about giving the best customer satisfaction possible lol. I almost said something to him but he was so hyped and happy, unlike mr grumps at the gun counter. Aside from that and what drove me away from purchasing a new firearm that day, the guys working Ammo and the fishing department were amazing. They really showed their knowledge and were a pleasure to work with. I will be back because of them, but maybe sticking to rifle supply for gun purchases.

I know there is a REI in Arcadia but I rarely visit that area these days. A Friend recommended this location over the Arcadia one, as it is bigger and it was perfect because it happened to be on my route one day. I stopped by on a Friday afternoon and was able to return my online order quickly. The cashier was very kind and the return was quick. I never used the product, the sizing was just way off, even though I had followed the product's website video guide. When I visited, it just so happened to be Member Days so I took a look around. This location certainly has "everything." It feels rare to have a fully stocked store these days. Since I did not need anything at the moment, I plan on stopping by again in a few months when I have an idea of what to use my gift cards on. There were employees throughout the store and they often greeted me and asked if I needed help. Great customer service! There was also restrooms for customers to use. There was plenty of parking in shopping center and overall, had a great first experience.

I returned to the store shortly after to exchange it for the same item in a different size. From the moment I approached the register, the cashier (ID #013191, no name provided) had an unfriendly and unwelcoming attitude. Her demeanor alone made the experience uncomfortable. When she processed the exchange, I was told I had to pay a price difference because the sale had ended. I understand policies, but this was a direct exchange for the exact same item--just a different size. A little flexibility or customer consideration would have gone a long way. She offered to ask a manager who was standing just a few feet away, but he completely ignored the situation and walked off without acknowledging us. That lack of support and accountability was extremely frustrating. At that point, I chose to request a full refund. I refuse to spend money at a business that lacks basic customer service and proper employee training--from cashier to management. It's especially disappointing considering my husband pays for a premium membership, only to receive this level of service. Overall, this experience felt dismissive, unprofessional, and not customer-focused. I hope the company takes steps to improve both staff training and customer care.

We've been here so many times that I finally had to leave a review--especially for Jesus (pronounced just like the name in the Bible). This place is HUGE! They have everything--bikes, sports apparel, camping gear, rentals, and more. Plenty of parking, conveniently located right off the 405, they price match, and the membership is actually worth asking about. I'm usually not a membership person, but we come here so often that it pays for itself. Jesus is amazing. We brought in my son's Co-op DRT 3.3 for what we thought would be "just brakes." It turned into new brake pads, a chain, spoke alignment, shock adjustment...you know, the full bike spa treatment. (Part of it was his---well...thanks to my son's curiosity and love of "tinkering.) Even though we picked up the bike right at closing time, Jesus never rushed us. He patiently explained every repair, answered all of our questions, and even taught my 14-year-old how to better maintain his bike. You can tell he genuinely loves what he does and enjoys encouraging young riders. Fast turnaround, fair prices, great service, and no long waits like we've experienced elsewhere. We're customers for life. Thanks, Jesus and the Sports Basement team, for keeping both my son--and his bike--on the trails!
