Wilder's in Birmingham feels polished and upscale. The space looks elegant and lively. The menu leans classic with modern touches. Some dishes stand out more than others. Service feels attentive but can vary when busy. It works well for a nice night out.

Had dinner at Wilder's and really enjoyed it. The calamari was flavorful and crispy, and the porterhouse was the highlight--cooked perfectly and super juicy. They brought out bread at the beginning, and you even get to pick the kind you want, which was a fun little touch. Service was great--really attentive and thoughtful. They even brought out a dessert to celebrate my parents' anniversary, which was so sweet and made the night feel extra special. The space is beautiful and works well for a business dinner or something more celebratory. Only thing is parking was a bit of a pain, but valet made it simple.

Food was excellent, service was adequate, and the atmosphere was dark and romantic. For the money, two dinner rolls a person should be given. Slightly larger portions of the sides would be nice for the money. Our bar drinks were just OK.

Short rib and Kansas City cut!

Food, server Eric, ambiance all exceeded our expectations! There is no bad seat in the house. Very moody, elegant and sophisticated atmosphere. All the dishes were delicious - waiter was kind enough to bring out the steak cuts to see what we'd be served which was a nice touch! Will be returning in the future!

Everything was a 10! From setting the reservation to the dessert, very welcoming and accommodating. The steaks are delicious and the presentation is fabulous. Enjoyed the spinach and potato sides. Ambiance is delightful. Highly recommend!!

We had amazing service by our waiter James! Beautiful decor and ambiance. The food was fantastic. We enjoyed various appetizers, steak, chicken and a few sides. No complaints, everything was fantastic.

This was one of the best meals/ experiences I've had in a long time from the food to the staff ! Our server James was excellent! He went above and beyond even gave me a glass of milk with my dessert ( via my odd request). Mark was also great he made sure our night was special. The king crab was fresh and I like the fact that that I was able to get it steam instead of chilled the steak was great quality and tasted even better ... the zip sauce was by far some of the best I've had. Over all I enjoyed everything and would definitely be back and would recommend it to anyone looking to celebrate something special or just a night out.

This is by far the best new steakhouse in metro Detroit imo. Been to them all at this point and it's shocking how low quality my experiences have been. That being said, wilders was a pleasant surprise. The interior is gorgeous, the service is perfect for the style of dining and the food was all delicious. We got the wedge which I loved bc it was properly dressed and super flavorful, the oysters were delicious and fresh. We split a steak and the carrots as well as the rigatoni gratin. We were in heaven haha. Steak high quality and cooked perfect. The rigatoni gratin was addictive and the carrots were a fun twist. We also tried their vesper martini which was perfect! Lastly, we tried the sundae which is a must order. Homemade banana ice cream and a dish of fudge on the side. Seriously so excited to have a steakhouse worth splurging on!

Amazing ambiance and atmosphere! I was there for a private event downstairs and it was just amazing. Great service, great cocktails, and amazing filet mignon. This is not a family friendly restaurant in my opinion. Perfect for a date night/friend night out.

Wilder's has a cool atmosphere, we sat by the bar and had great service. The bartenders were very kind and attentive. We ordered two Caesar salads and some sides to share. With those food options and two drinks our bill was very pricy. The dressing on the salads was bland. The fries were cooked well. Not super impressive but worth a visit to try a new spot in town.

Three East coast oysters on the right and three West coast oysters on the left.

We've been here several times on the weekend (even with the kids). The line is never too long, although it can look long but it moves quickly. All the pastries are in the refrigerated case or sitting atop of the counter for you to ogle and salivate at while you patiently wait to give your order. Everything we've tried has been delicious, almost too decadent from the cakes to croissants to sandwiches. We've also had their coffees and hot chocolate. Can't go wrong with a handcrafted beverage to warm you up or cool you down. They do provide a water carafe on the house you just have to go up and get water yourself either way the cups provided. There is a side register near the exit, not sure if that's just for coffee or pickups. Haven't investigated that yet. They have some seating inside of tables and bar seating but nothing more the a 2-3 seats per table, not a place for a large group. Outside on the patio they have large umbrellas and heat lamps depending on the weather. It's also better luck to find a table that can accommodate 4 outside, although the tables are small cafe tables to it's a little cramped for 4, perfect for 2-3. They have low and high top tables available. If you do have a larger group, there is a park a block and a half up Eton that has picnic tables and benches so you can always take your treasures to go and enjoy some people watching at the park. Ample parking is available in the lot just make sure you go in the correct driveway at the north end since it's a one way in/out situation.

The most popular menu item is the CB; a warm cookie skillet loaded with ice cream and toppings. I've tried several cookies, the Reese's milkshake, and the C-T-C CB. All of the cookies are made in-house. I've had red velvet, chocolate chip, cookie monster (M&M), and s'mores. Of those, I preferred the red velvet. The Reese's milkshake was incredibly rich, but delicious. The C-T-C CB was my favorite dessert overall. This features a sugar cookie, cinnamon ice cream, and cinnamon toast crunch cereal. I highly recommend the C-T-C, or a CB in general. Cookieee Boys may be trendy, but the quality of its desserts does not take a backseat. It is on the pricier side, but I'd much rather support a family-owned establishment over a rival chain.

The cookies are clearly frozen. No question. They taste like bulk frozen cookies you'd get from somewhere like GFS, then reheated and dressed up with store-bought toppings (cereal, marshmallow, etc.) to try to mask the lack of quality--but it doesn't work. At the end of the day, you're paying $5 per cookie for what is basically a dressed-up frozen cookie. If that's what you want, just go to Costco and save yourself the drive and the wait. At least Crumbl--while not amazing--makes their dough fresh daily, and you can respect the effort. This just feels lazy and overpriced. Really disappointing that the owners seem to think customers won't notice the difference and created a flashy concept built on laziness.
