My boys love wings so we tried this place on a recent romp to Macon. It was a Saturday night at 7pm and the place was packed. The hostess asked for my phone # and sent me a text. I had to download an app to find out when my table was ready. Seriously??? That was a little crazy, especially because I doubt we will be back there anytime soon (we live 2 hours north). About the time I received the text and downloaded the app, it said my table was ready. (Please use those buzzing boxes that other restaurants use!) Boys ordered 20 wings and an order of fries to share. The thick cut fries arrived in a cute cup but not much in there for $3.29 price. Granny ordered a wrap/fries. I ordered the skewers of grilled shrimp. Menu said 2 skewers of 5 each but I only received 8 shrimp. Someone in the kitchen doesn't know math. Waitress was right on it and got the shrimp pretty quick. 20 wings, 1 fry, turkey wrap meal, shrimp meal and 1 soda totaled $50. The price was a bit much for the quantity and quality of the food, but it did make the drive back to Atlanta a little easier with wing-loving teenagers. read more

The hostess need to be fair in setting customers, just a party of 2 and a walk in party of 2 waited maybe 5 minutes and were seated. Also, a party of 6 seated before party of 2? Doesn't make sense. I really hate to write this review, the but I've never had this experience here. We have never experienced this type of service, the server Emily was amazing. Our friend threw up at the table unexpectedly due to his Crohn's disease and they cut us all off (a lot whole group of 10) because of this. We tried to explain the situation, but obviously the manager had no interest in listening.. if you need anything as far as a good time, go downtown Macon. Not this place. Waitress was very abrupt and unfriendly. One person in our party ordered fried shrimp it came out grilled and upon telling the waitresa she said "okay". No apology or anything. I want so badly to not enjoy Wild Wings. It borders on blasphemy as far as my tastes, but captures all of my guilty pleasures. If someone told Wild Wings to go hard or go home, it would go hard. It does everything big from high ceilings with exposed duct work to the drop down projection tv. It does it's best to have it's patrons cut loose. And they do cut loose. I've come to this place for all intents and purposes: with big crowds, with the wife, just me and my best friend, and alone. The interesting and positive comment associated with this is that the place feels the same around you. Having said that, I should advise you that this place seems to attract the most insecure population. Big personalities fill the big restaurant. You'll always be able to spot a muscle bound, meathead at the bar waiting for someone to catch his eye the wrong way. Routinely I've had older white guys approach me for conversation and spew some of the most hateful, racist talk I hear in all Macon. Not the fault of the establishment, I understand. But, I have asked myself, what is it about this place that makes people feel comfortable assuming they can say anything. Which brings me to the bar ... Sports on TV and cheap beer are a big draw for many places. It's no different here. It is always nice to get away from home for the big game and feel like you've joined a supporters group. Many great afternoons for males come with the shared experience of the raise and fall of a big game, the collective sigh as the ball sails wide right. When restaurants put so much time into setting and atmosphere the food will sometimes suffer. It doesn't suffer here. It doesn't benefit either. But it well enough tows the line of big restaurant cuisine. The plus for Wild Wings is that they've managed to create some pretty damn impressive hot sauces. I have enjoyed the buffalo wings with the four hottest sauces and they are all extremely enjoyable. And by enjoyable I mean, I honestly had to ask for a glass of milk to stomach The Braveheart. I ate 3 wings, drank for another hour of so, and attempted the last of them. If you're in a sociable mood and want lively, comfortable atmosphere this might be your place. You're bound to get a bad apple that could interfere with your good time, but man-up, dismiss the losers; and, enjoy another last round. read more

The service here is always friendly and quick, and they always keep it clean. My favorite item on the menu is the bacon cheese fries. Reason being? They use real bacon, real cheese and real fries. Everything I've had here has been amazing. As for the wings in particular, they blow Buffalo Wild Wings out of the water! Wild Wings Cafe's quality is far above that of B-Dubb's. I have been to many other so called wing places in the south and by far can tell you Wild Wing Cafe outshines them all. Now they've even added another wing flavor to their already massive selection. I think it's up to 34 by now. All I can say is Amazing! The wings are so big here that even a small portion will fill you up. For the lionhearted man/woman in your group they offer the braveheart wing. I sampled one on my last visit and boy let me tell you, I was on fire for a while. Lips numb brow sweating, pure adrenaline deliciousness. Normally I head there for dinner with my family and last time I had the ribs. I couldn't believe a wing joint could put out fall off the bone ribs like that. Easily some of the best ribs I've had around town. Be prepared to wait just a little while to sit though because this place gets PACKED on the weekends. My family and I usually wait 20-25 minutes to get a table but that's perfect for me to snag one of their cold draft beers. I was a regular at the Wild Wing Cafe in Charleston, SC when I lived there so many years ago. I remember when there were only 2 of these locations anywhere. Now there are 3 in Charleston with locations outside of Charleston. I was so excited to see that there was now one in Macon, GA!! This location did not disappoint. Walking in felt like walking in to my old hangout in the market in Charleston. I had a seat at the bar and was promptly greeted by the bartender. He was spot on with his service and had a pleasant attitude. My wings came out in record time too! I'm sure that the fact I stopped in for lunch when they weren't slammed helped with that. The wings were hot and fresh out of the fryer. The sauces were amazing as always! I would list my favorites, but honestly I've only had one or two on the entire menu that I didn't like. So just go with what sounds good that day and you'll be happy. Back to the wings though. They are cooked very well, not over cooked and dry like you find at a lot of places. When you walk into this place, there's one of two things you're going to say: "Wow." Or: "Damn." For me, it was a combo in that I said something like, "Wow... Jesus... Shit, look at this place... And there's something like 33 different flavors of buffalo wins, which I can personally attest to, not from trying them, but because my companion and I were sat right in front of the ginormous projection screen TV (not included in the above count of TVs, I want to point out) that hovered above the all you can suck down wing bar. The ambience was electric. It felt like a Friday night before some wild crazy partying there and this is just while I was drinking a glass of water and eating a salad. I ended up ordering a chicken sandwich that ended up being about 6 inches tall and my companion took a turn at the wing bar. Somewhere in her second go at it, she almost collapsed. "So... many... wings..." she muttered. The crowd would appear to be car salesman, frat boys, and alt bros, and guys who look like they probably cell phones. There was a mild annoyance with this one gentlemen who kept coming up to the wing bar to complain that they weren't replenishing the tater tots fast enough. My waitress, who was pretty cool, handled it like a pro, asking him politely to have a seat and she brought him out a whole plate of tots, which seemed to provide him with ample satisfaction for a few minutes. We went here with some friends for lunch/dinner. The music that they were playing was fantastic. We all ordered spinach dip and a side of avocado with chips and they were both good. Then we had wings. We ordered the flaming Parmesan and The General. They were both good. Only complaint is that the wings are small. Billie was our server and he was good. I want to say theres more than 30+ flavors of wings which include your traditional wild wings all the way to you're spicy hot, burn your butthole sauce. I've never gotten anything but wings and a few different appetizers here because let's be honest, who goes to a wing place to order something else? Wierdo! Only kidding. My all-time favorite sauce is jalapeno cheddar! Perfect kind of spice with the most amazing flavor. I normally do a half and half with two different flavors with 13 wings and I usually just let the waiter/waitress pick my other flavor and they never disappoint. My favorite appetizer here is the steel town spuds with tater tots. The service here is pretty good, however, sometimes it's a little slow even when it's not that busy. What makes this place rocking is the many sports TV around and they even throw a huge ass projector on for the main event games. Sometimes they have cover bands there to perform. Typically this occurs more in the warmer times of the year. Food I can surely comment on their wings. Damn good, tasty wings. Add some beer? Have some decent goodness on tap to wash down that Chernobyl flavored wing. Best thing for newcomers to get is the 25 wing sampler. 5 different flavors to choose from. This is a very run of the mill place. Nothing new, nothing different. If you want good wings... you wouldn't be going wrong here. But if you tell the waiter/bartender that you are allergic to something. they may or may not double check to make sure what you ordered has them in it. Nothing bad here... but nothing special either. The food here is 10/10, but there is such a lack of diversity in the patrons that it is uncomfortable sometimes. It definitely seems like they air fry their food, because my fries always have no oil residue and that is fantastic. The servers are okay. They definitely could be wayyy nicer. The atmosphere is loud and obnoxious if you go at night whenever they have a band. However, if you go midday, depending on the location, the atmosphere can be pretty okay. Seriously, though...this place was AMAZING tonight! I had one of the best salads that I have ever had -- the Fiesta Fajita salad. Lettuce, cheese, mexican corn, black beans, tortilla chips and guacamole instead of the sour cream. I didn't even need dressing! If this wasn't enough, I had a 22 ounce regular margarita. SUPERB. They play a game called Questionairrey on Wednesday nights at 7pm and it's so much fun. It's kind of like Family Feud and it made our amazing food even more amazing. Managers are on the floor constantly to ensure a pleasant experience for all. Bands are good quality. Only reasons it doesn't get 5 stars are 1. It is always hot in there. The band sweats, the dancers sweat, the a/c is inadequate and the ceiling fans are too high to do much good. Some wall mounted fans would help tremendously. 2. The bathrooms. They are frequently empty of supplies and often have broken dispensers. It also appears they are cleaned very infrequently as there is a layer of dust and funk on all surfaces except the toilets, which are clean.
