I'm giving it one star for the waitress and the beer options. Let's start that I am a wing snob being from Buffalo and my 2 sons swore by this place. But, I really didn't like it here. I had the chicken fingers. Where was the breading? Yes there was "some kind" of coating on it but it was not any kind of finger breading I've ever had. Plus, it was kind of burned. The middle of the chicken was juicy but the outer parts were very try. Now, lets got their "blue cheese". Where is the bite you get with a true blue cheese dressing? This almost tasted watered down with maybe ranch? And poppy seeds??? really how the hell puts that in anything but a poppy seed dressing. Next on to the burger. It had the generals sauce on it. Doesn't that usually have an orangey flavor... yeah not here. My other son said it was "too smokey". I tasted just the burger from the bottom without the sauce and it was the burger. I don't know what they put in it but it isn't good at all. I hated the fries but I didn't realize they were steak fries which I loathe. My kids ate those. I did like the buffalo chicken shrimp that my other 2 shared. Saturday had a 22oz beer that was only 4.00 so that rocked. There was a live band but it was sooo loud you couldn't hear across the table. Nope... check this place off my list. read more

Great variety of wings and sauces, plus plenty of beers on tap. They may have other good food on the menu, but THIS is a WING PLACE. They say "best wings south of Buffalo". I don't know about that but their wings are outstanding. Service, by they way, is equal. Excellent. read more

The atmosphere is great...however, the hostess was rude. Went for my son's 21st birthday (12 of us), we waited over an hour for a table. The hostess told us we were waiting for a specific table to be finished...I guess their tables are bolted to the floor...apparently the owner was there with guests and we had to wait till they were finished. I was determined to have a great evening, so I refused to get upset. I kindly asked the hostess if she had an idea of how much longer and she said..."they have boxes so maybe not long, but it's the owner and they might hang out and have a couple of drinks." I jokingly said maybe she could tell him we were waiting for his table...her exact response was..."he wont care." *shocked face* I just turned around and went back to the bar area with my party. Within about 15 min they had a different table for us. Our waiter (Miller) was phenomenal!! He was funny and took our celebration in stride, he never seemed aggravated or tired of us. I ordered nachos...I know, It's a wing place...and I was not impressed at all. However, everyone who ordered wings said they were delicious...so wings good, nachos bad. I did write a complaint to the company about the hostess and received an (we are sorry email), however, I am writing this review based on my actual experience. read more

I have to say I love their wings. I have had this place twice, one time was carry out and the other was eating in. The flavors they have are awesome. They will have you taste buds going crazy, So so DELICIOUS. I prefer to get takeout from this place however. I am not into the bar type scenery. read more

Our second visit was not as great as the first. They had live music and the volume was so loud, no one was able to have a decent conversation. Having to shout at the wait staff so they can hear your order is truly not acceptable. I asked to be seated in a closed section, farther from the source of music and it helped but not much. The food was excellent, the atmosphere was horrible. The guitarist would have sounded much better if the volume had been turned down a bit. In fact, employees can actually sue the business for hearing loss because at that volume it is very dangerous, especially during those long shifts. My family and I really enjoyed Wild Wing Cafe. The sauce options are nice andw all of us were satisfied with the flavor of the wings. The wait staff was very courteous and with a nice spacious floor plan, I felt like we had a part of the restaurant all to ourselves. We will certainly will go there many more times. We used to frequent B-dubs, which is much closer to our house, but ever since giving Wild Wing Cafe a shot it is now the ONLY place we go for wings. They have a multitude of flavors to choose from and a large beer selection. They even have cider on tap. They also have a good kids menu. If you're going for wings, the best time to go is Tuesday night, buy 10 get 10 free after 5pm. It's a really great deal! My favorite flavors so far are Loco Bueno (which I tried on Vanessa G.'s suggestion), Jalapeno Cheddar, Ranchilada, and Flaming Parmesan. read more

We come here every weekend. We come here because of the wings. They are the best hands down in the 757. You can tell they are fresh and cooked to order and probably the ONLY reason we will keep coming back. However, we sat at the bar and had a less than pleasurable experience. We have been coming here for the past 3 months. Once every weekend, either Friday or Saturday. The wings are so good we can't help ourselves. Tonight we order the same exact thing we order EVERY week for the past three months. A full size order (16) wings with two delicious flavors and a side of fries. We get our order tonight, wings look amazing....but the fries looked like they were already half eaten or at least the bottom of the bag and the chef decided to serve us what he thought was more than acceptable to a happy paying customer. We thought no big deal...let's just show our bartender Tyler what's up and he'll take care of this. I mean we come here every weekend so he must know this isn't normal. Well.....we sure did that after about 15 minutes of trying to wave him down from talking to his bartending buddy as well as him taking breaks to sip out of his coca cola cup in the beer cooler under the bar with a blue colored substance. Finally when we got his attention he scolded us. Told us we were wrong and that the past 3 months we had been coming here that we were being over severed in the portion size of food we were getting. Ok well maybe I'm being way over sensitive...it's just fries. But I spend at least $60 every weekend in this place and tell all my friends and family to come here so I feel a few extra fries can't hurt anything. And a grumpy a-hole of a bartender could ruin everything at this place. And btw..Eric the bartender was much much better as his job. I've heard lots of good thing about this place and I am all about chicken wings!! I was extremely disappointed with my visit. They have 33 sauces but HotBBQ isn't one of them, and they won't mix their two sauces together to make some. The reality is it didn't matter because I went in for chicken wings and got 18 cornish hen wings for $19. Needless to say I sent them back, why people are dumb enough to pay a dollar a wing and then have no problem with the screw job they pull in here is beyond me. I'll give them a second chance, may have to bring my own sauce, which is honestly the best wing sauce I've ever had, but if the wing size today is what they always serve...not gonna happen!! read more

I've been to Wild Wing Cafe several times and I've always been a fan of the multitude of wing flavors/sauces they offer. Plus, Tuesday nights are buy 10 wings get 10 wings free. That's not a bad deal. I really like their Honey Mustard (nice and tangy, yet sweet and savory) wings and their Red, Hot, and Bleu (underlying kick from the bleu cheese flavor) wings. I haven't tried anything else on the menu, other than fries (and I don't think you can mess up fries). I really like all the TVs too which are good for sports on several stations. Fantastic place for wings! They have tons of different flavors. The Loco Bueno is my favorite with yummy cilantro...mmmmm. They have a spacious restaurant inside and cute little patio outside where they sometimes have live music. I've never had better wings than those from Wild Wing Cafe. First fell in love with their Charlottesville location when I was in college. Now I hit up the Chesapeake location whenever I'm back in hampton roads. If it's your first time, you have to get a wild wing sampler. 25 wings, 5 flavors. I'd suggest getting the boss (crispy spicy), Italian (overall wonderful), the honey mustard (amazing sauce!), ranchilada and gold rush. I think those five wings really run the gamut of all the different flavors you can get here. Or go ahead and order some Bravehearts and ruin your meal. Don't worry, they have milk. read more

Coming from the South, these wings were just ok. The 10pc + fries was $15.00. I asked for 5 Xtra wet hot wings And 5 Xtra Lemon Pepper. I didn't get either. The fries are not seasoned, they're bland. Overall, it was just ok, $7-10 worth, definitely not $15 worth. Maybe I'm biased b/c I'm used to wing places in the south or I'll even settle for wing stop and wings & things.... Place is always a good spot, I definitely prefer to go here rather than the BWW franchises. I like independently owned wing restaurants. This place has friendly staff. They sometimes have bands play, which I don't care too much about, but it gives them credit for support local talent. Food is always great, beer is never flat. I like their different sauces on menu. Wild wing cafe is most definitely my favorite wing place. Their wings are delicious, their fries, soup, and sandwiches. When I first came here I ordered a chicken sandwich, I don't recall the name because it was a few months ago but it was so good. I recently went again because my bf went before with his mom and said they had an unlimited wing special. So Monday-Friday they have unlimited wings from 11-2 for only $11. You honestly could not get a better deal. You can either get a salad or soup (I got the potato soup and it is melt in your mouth delicious), fries, celery, ranch or blue cheese, and then 10 wings and you pick 2 flavors. You get 6 more wings after your first 10 and are still able to get different flavors. I am a fan of dry rubs because I can not eat spicy wings without drinking all of my drink. If you're like me, I highly recommend the flavor wild west, absolutely delicious. Not only is their food fantastic, but they also have a great atmosphere, and wonderful service. Our waitress Rachel (I remembered her name bc we have the same name, haha) was super friendly and always made sure we had everything we needed. This place is basic as hell. The sauces are trash. I literally didn't like one of the 5 different sauces i tried. Popeyes is better than this place. And when they brought my sampler out, the buffalo chicken dip look like soup. The layout of the sampler looked as if it had been thrown together. Don't recommend this place at all. We moved close to this location a few months ago and it quickly became one of our favorites! The wing sauces are always delicious. The Colorado Copper sauce is amazing. The service is always professional and exceeds expectations. Our food has always come out the way we ordered it. The steel town spud chips are out of this world. I think they make their own ranch and that is truly what makes it. You can tell that the staff has mutual respect for each other and the managers.
