Princess One Shopping Center with two new establishments! Atomic Wings has just opened up in this shopping center. My first impression of this place is that I love the color blue and orange reminds me of Boise State who just lost to Penn State sadly. I ordered the number two 5pc wings meal with the Thai chili sauce, it comes with fries and a drink. For just $12 including tax what more can you ask for! The wings and fries came out fresh and hot. Even after a 10min ride back to the office they didn't get cold. The cashier was helpful and patient with me I couldn't decide on what I wanted to get. Other than that my only complaint is that the paper menu doesn't display the price of the food like the ones on the monitor. Note for those who aren't used to spicy food be careful the Thai chili was spicy for my coworker who doesn't eat any spicy food at all.

I tried it once before when they first opened and it was great since then my honest opinion they kinda lost touch. I will say the chicken sandwich I had was great nice quality size, lemon pepper wings were great. But the real question is why are you charging for extra dipping sauces especially when I didn't get one to begin with. They over charged me for the veggies that I ordered as well! Hopefully they figure things out.

The food is amazing!!! Danielle gave us amazing service especially it being my first time there. She was so nice and told us about the specials they were having. Madison the cook also was amazing and cooked the food throughly just how I like it. I would definitely recommend trying out this place!!

Fresh Chicken Tenders (5 Piece)

Great food, excellent service and perfect ambience. Must visit and try freshly hand breaded boneless, tenders and sandwiches. Also most moist and juicy chicken wings at any given time. They also carry milkshakes, flatbread pizzas, mozzarella sticks, jalapeño poppers, loaded waffle fries, fried pickles and fried Oreos.

The bartender was wonderful -- warm, attentive, and happy to help even when several of us came up to order directly at the bar. Our two servers were also doing a great job under pressure; we came in as a large group all at once, and it was clear the restaurant was a bit understaffed for the volume that night. They handled it with grace, and a few small hiccups were completely understandable given the circumstances. The one real issue was management. Whoever was running the floor that night seemed far more stressed than anyone else on staff -- tense, unapproachable, and noticeably short with the servers, even though they were working hard and doing nothing wrong. It genuinely affected the mood on the floor. I'd encourage the owner to look into additional training for whoever is in that role, or consider whether they're the right fit for managing front-of-house during busy nights -- because the rest of the staff clearly deserves better support than that. Everything else about the evening reflected real care and hospitality, and I'd happily come back.

Definitely coming back.

They quickly moved us to a larger table when our party of 5 turned into 8 because of surprise guests! It was a long overdue reunion. A few of us were craving the Pastelon, since we are fans of sweet plantains, but sadly, they didn't have it available that evening. However, our kind server said we could order mofongo with the sweet plantains, so we decided to give it a try. We chose the steak strips and fried pork versions. Everything was delicious! We always enjoy the variety of the menu. Plus, the expanded dining room spaces make the restaurant very welcoming. Our party of 8 was treated well, and we all enjoyed our meals!

Since we were in the area and wanted to grab a small bite to eat, we decided to stop in. The staff greeted us as soon as we walked in and the restaurant smelled amazing, so we couldn't wait to grab a drink and order our favorites. We decided to sit at the bar, so we were given menus to look over and the bartender was very nice. I ordered the Spicy Passionfruit Margarita and my daughter ordered the Rican Rum Punch. Both were good but I enjoyed the Margarita much better! Since we weren't very hungry, we chose our favorites which were the Arroz con Gandules and the Relleno de Papa, which is a mashed potato ball filled with savory, ground beef. The food was flavorful and absolutely delicious! They also have a pink sauce, which is a ketchup/mayo mix, but it always pairs so well with the food. Everything was so good, we put in another order of both to take home lol. De Rican Chef never disappoints! After all these years, their food still tastes just as good as it did the first time we went! If you're looking for great, Puerto Rican food, definitely stop in!!!

I ordered the orange chicken which was super tangy, the skin crispy and delicious. It's kind of funny it's better here than in many Chinese restaurants I've been to in the past-- wasn't expecting that. My boyfriend got the steak frites which he enjoyed but he wasn't a fan of the truffle fries. The flavor of the fries was good but they were a bit oily. Also we drank like 3 of the strawberry lemonades, they were delicious. Would return for sure, so many other options on the menu and I would love to see what else they have to offer in the future.

But to my surprise this place has some bright spots! First the not so good stuff. I made a reservation on OpenTable and arrived early. I told the hostess and she said she would take care of it. If you've ever reserved on OpenTable you know that if you're a no show they may suspend your account. I'm sitting at the table and checked my account. She never marked my reservation as confirmed. So I just cancelled it while I was sitting in the restaurant. That's pretty much the bad stuff for me. Hence the missing 5 star review. Now I did arrive on a Monday Afternoon, place was empty and very quiet. It's pretty much set up as a bar with tables around it. The bar is the focal point. But they do have plenty of seats and tables. They have outside seating but it's right at the mall entrance. I don't see that being a pleasant way to eat with people walking past you all day. Now the food... During lunchtime they have 2 options for portions: lunch or dinner size. We got the dinner size. HUGE PORTION. And the food was very good. I was pleasantly surprised. My single malt scotch was priced cheaper than any place I've been to this week. We got the popcorn chicken. Fresh Cut breasts meat. It comes in a popcorn box, cool presentation. They were tender and good. Next up was the fish and chips. 6 pieces of fish and a mountain of fries. Very good as well. Not very bready with lots of fish. Then came the fried chicken dinner. Mercy.... 2 huge chicken breasts, a mound of mashed potatoes, and vegetables. The chicken was seasoned well and fork tender. The picture I posted gives the portion sizes no justice. I can't vouch for weekends or football Sunday, but Monday afternoon is the sweet spot for me. I'll be back...

They are just south of where Holland Rd. merges into Independence Blvd. My most recent visit here was on April 23, 2026. From the outside of the business, it does stand out a bit with the large name above the entrance. You can definitely see it if you look from Holland Rd. I had seen it too when traveling down that road, but I finally came in for the first time on March 10, 2026 after leaving the Voter Registrar's Office not too far from there. Upon entering, it wasn't too busy yet, but it was a little before 4 pm, so it was still early for the evening dinner rush. The inside of the place definitely has the bar scene vibe with the bar area and televisions showing sports there, with closed captioning on. One of the bartenders said we could find a spot to be seated. My mom and I went to one of the booths available. It was just seconds later that our server came over, welcomed us here, bringing menus over, and introduced herself. The first question is always asking about what to drink. I continue to go with my usual, which is water with lemons, while my mom got Coke. After having some time to look over the menu, when we got our drinks, my mom and I were both ready to order. I decided to go with the Sloppy Joe Samich with Onion Rings as the side item, but subbing Pepper Jack Cheese instead of American Cheese. My mom decided to do an appetizer as the main course, which was the Loaded Nachos Half Size Portion. A little less than 10 minutes later, our food orders came to the table, and they looked really good, and when we went to try it out, they were definitely hot too. The Sloppy Joe Samich ended up being really good and hit the spot for me. The onion rings were good too, and were a bit of an indulgence for me. My mom really liked the Loaded Nachos and that had good flavor to it as well. Our server also told us about various specials they have through the week, so this would warrant future visits for us too. The next few visits would be on Thursdays, as they have a $7 Burger Night Special beginning at 5 pm. For those next visits (including the most recent one, except for the April 6 visit), I would end up getting the Bacon Cheeseburger With Fries (additional cost to change the side item for specials). My mom also did a few types of burgers on these visits, one being the Cowboy Burger. Every time, the burgers came out as expected and hot. The fries were really good too, as I usually do pepper on them instead of salt. There was one additional visit on April 6th, which was a Monday. We came in that day for the Fried Shrimp Basket Special. That one comes with Fried Shrimp and Fries, and is available all day. The shrimp were really good and filling too. Overall, the food, service, atmosphere, and specials have been great here. I really feel like they are a hidden gem. When it comes to sodas, they did carry Coke products, but as of the middle of April 2026, they are now serving Pepsi products. I want to note that there is a 3% order processing fee, likely for anyone paying by a card instead of cash. Even when I have been there at busier times, parking was never an issue. It feels like a family atmosphere too. On the most recent visit, they even stated that they notice us as regulars here now. If you're looking for a different place that serves more than just burgers, this place is worth checking out, as I have not seen a place around yet that has the Sloppy Joe type samich.

We had to stop ourselves from just sucking it down. The burger is where I had the issue. It was a little on the dry side.... Too well done despite asking for medium. It also wasn't seasoned well. The only flavor rally came from the bbq sauce and onion straws. The truffle fries were good though. The menu said they won't best burger of Virginia Beach, and that was made me get a burger.
