Each PDP was in different stages of the project. Time management became an issue so I reached out to Wild West Guns. I initially called them about their service. Jerimy picked up. I went in and told them I was looking to buy a revolver and they sold me the whole gun saying that the background check is done with a day or two no problem since I'm a veteran, and I've bought a gun before Texas. They charged me 260$ and called me a week later saying that the background check was denied and I had to come back for a -100$ refund ( restocking fee ) read more

Went there to purchase a G3C. Told them that the background check always comes back unresolved and the gov gives them the option to release the gun or not. After my 72 hours were up the called to tell me they weren't going to release the gun. I had to go to another gun store, pay another $25 for the background check, wait another 72 hours for it to come back unresolved and that dealer released the firearm. They could've told me they weren't going to release the gun before I purchased it since I told them this was going to happen. Extremely poor customer service and a waste of my time. read more

I went there a few months back to look for work as a gunsmith. Things started off good then went south the owner was braging that he sold all his cnc maches and was relocating to a even bigger facility. I have more then two years experience and a degree in gunsmithing he was low balling wages the job included cerakoting,handfiting parts,machining and much more and only offering under 20 dollars a hour why do all the things listed for less than 20 when the average cnc machinist makes 24 to 25 a hour alone. The guy managing the place still thinks the world is in the 1980s so is the wages for there gunsmiths. read more

I took my 9mm pistol in because it wasn't ejecting the spent shell casing after shooting about 20 rounds causing a jam. After a week they called and said they couldn't find anything wrong. They said they just are firing blanks and if they wanted me to use real ammunition it would cost extra. They did say that they cleaned the pistol, but I had cleaned it before bringing it to them. I picked up the pistol and immediately took it to the range to test fire. After 20 rounds it jammed. This company charges you $90 to diagnose a problem but in fact does nothing. I have no idea who is giving these guys good reviews. I have been shooting in this down for decades and own multiple pistols & rifles, but this is the first so called gunsmith who told me to call the manufacturer to find out what is causing the problem. I doubt this company even employees trained or certified gunsmiths. If you need a good gunsmith, try Freedom Firearms or the 911 guys. Don't you hate being lied to and paying for nothing? read more

I have a Browning shotgun that my dad gave me before he died. I used it frequently for shooting clay targets. Apparently I wore out the ejectors and needed them replaced. I took my gun to Wild Wild West who was supposed to have the expertise I was looking for. Normally I would make repairs myself but this gun is priceless to me. I explained this to the manager and how important it was to me, that I was in no rush to have it back quick but I wanted it done correctly. I was assured that was no problem and it would be $140. A few days later I got a call that it was done. I live on the completely opposite side of town but good service would have been worth it. I picked it up and planned my first shooting day to be the upcoming Friday. The very first time I shot it the shells came out as expected but also the left ejector because it was missing a screw. After a few curse words I went home and ordered a $3 screw. Then called to speak to the manager about my issue. Giving him ample opportunity to rectify the situation. He said he would be happy to put in a new screw if I could just bring it back. I explained I wasn't driving clear across town again for their mistake. He apologized numerous times but said before he could try and make this right he would have to talk to his workers and give me a call right back. I assumed he would offer me a percentage of my money back. It has been a week and still no return call from the owner. I am really disappointed and even explained to him that I would not recommend his business if he didn't call me back to finish our discussion. I gave him opportunity to keep a customer and instead he has made no effort to call me back. If your guns mean as much to you as mine do to me, I would avoid doing business with this company. I'll start by saying that I'm not the most experienced when it comes to gun smithing (even that's an understatement) so when I needed my flash hider that had been pinned and welded removed so that I could add a low profile gas block and free float quadrail, I started asking around at a spot I frequent called Ventura Munitions (I've dealt with Mike extensively and he's/they're awesome). They don't do gun smithing, but they were adamant on recommending Wild West. I called them up and spoke with Shannon who was extremely helpful and decided to go the next day (today). On my way home from work however, I happened to stop at Guns (Peacemakers Gun Shop) off Decatur who didn't want to take on the job, but also highly recommended Wild West. At this point, I take my ass home, grab my gear, and head down to Wild West. I got there and met the crew and they were cool enough to show me the back where the work gets done and even the proper way to remove a pinned and welded flash hider. Also, at my request, removed my front sight post and gas tube. Not only do they have an impressive store front and workshop, but they were all really awesome guys and absolutely set the standard for professionalism and great work. I thanked them and went to the front to square up the bill and they said that it didn't take that long and insisted on calling it even. I can tell you guys that I was sincerely shocked. It's companies like Wild West that make me want to pay favors forward. I would, just like the experienced industry long timers that did me, HIGHLY recommend Wild West to anyone looking to do business with an experienced staffed gun smithing company (that do anything and everything). Came here on a referral from the owner of a gun store in town. Brought a handgun in for their Clean Lube and Safety check. Strip down to pins, clean, and test fire. On the high end at about $70, but the handgun looks and functions like new. They quoted me up to 2 weeks due to workload, but finished it that day. I also brought in a Remington 870 for cerakote. I took my Ruger Mark II government there for a broken extractor and paid over 100 dollars. They stated it had to be sent to Ruger. Next time I fired it, still not working so I called Ruger. They took the serial number, checked their files and the firearm was never sent to Ruger for any repair, no ticket at Ruger for work or parts. This review is from a visit I made to this shop a few weeks ago. Also it was my first visit and will definitely not be my last. I came in with only the intention on looking at one specific firearm. Let's start with when I pulled into the parking lot.... this place is kind of hidden and to tell you the truth didn't look like much from the outside. Looked kind of small from the outside. Well when I walked in I was surprised to see a the number of selections they had from firearms to ammo. I was greeted by a woman who's name I totally forgot but she was awesome.. smile on her face and was willing to shoot the sh*t with me about the firearms I was looking at. Well she showed me the one specific model I wanted to see and then tells me they have the newer version. So I figured "ok yeah" let's look at it. Well there and then starts my dilemma I really like it!!! Now what do I do hahah cause I really like the older model as well. So back and forth for I believe literally 30-45mins. Now her co worker I believe his name was Charles comes over and starts shooting the sh*t with us as well. He was super informative and had a wealth of knowledge of firearms. And just pretty much schooled me on something's. But Charles was never condescending or talked down to me and I mention this because there have been times at other shops i feel this way. He was just talking shop with me and it was a good time. He saw i had now another choice of a firearm and couldn't make up my mind so we just went through all the pros and cons for my situation and like mentioned before took almost an hour haha... we went on for so long that he even offered me a bottle of water for all the talking we've been doing. So finally I make my decision... and they start writing it up and was very quick and professional. So after a few weeks and maybe about 100 -150 rounds through my new firearm I'm happy to say they helped me make a great decision and I'm happy with the experience and purchase! So time to stat saving the pennies again so I can do this all over again hopefully sooner than later. This is the place to go for all your fire arms needs in Southern Nevada. My gun shop sent me there because they could not unjam my gun, which had one live round in the chamber, and the gun shop did not have the device to contain a fired bullet. They opened it up in less than five minutes, and informed me that a part holding the barrel in place was sheared off. Though they could get the part and fix it, they advised me to purchase the part from the manufacturer, and put it in myself, telling me I could save some real dollars. They advised me to call the gun manufacturer, and tell them my story. I listened to their advice. The Gun Manufacturer, sent me a prepaid FedEx label, and will repair my gun at no charge. This will give me a savings of some $250.00. Wild West did not charge me for their services. A couple of days later, I decided to change the sights on my primary hand gun. They did not charge me to install the new ones, and did it in less than 20 minutes. These guys are real pros, and a great alternative to the typical Commando attitude you receive at most gun shops. When my other gun comes home repaired from the factory, I plan on taking it over, and getting a new set of gun sights installed. This is my new "go to" place for all my fire arm needs. read more

I thought I would give these guys a second chance...BIG mistake. After being quoted a lead time of 4 weeks, I patiently waited. And waited. And waited. After 6 weeks I called and was assured someone would call me back. Again, nothing. After SEVEN weeks I called again and was told I would need to wait another "few weeks". So amazingly their estimate of 4 weeks is actually 10-12 weeks. We're they apologetic? Not even slightly... I gave this company a second chance thinking maybe I was overly critical of their customer service. I won't make the mistake a third time. Bottom line -- this might be one of the worst businesses I've dealt with. Ever. And like my first experience, I'm sure they will take the cowardly way out by not even bothering to apologize after the fact or even address this review. Pathetic. read more

I dropped off my shotgun to get repaired. It needed an interceptor latch spring replacement. I was told it would take about 2 weeks to complete. Today it has been 5 weeks since drop off and they still do not have the part needed for the repair. I have been told "the part will be in this Friday" for the last 3 weeks and still NO part has arrived. Today, I looked on brownells.com and they not only had my part in stock, but it will be here in 2 days. I am not sure why Wild West guns couldn't order my $5 part from a different supplier and I am not sure why they allowed my rifle to sit on a shelf for 5 weeks waiting for a SPRING and I am not sure why they promised the part would be there every week when I called. Today when I called wild west guns to find out the status, the girl told me the part was not in but maybe it will be here this Friday. I told her that WWG has been telling me "this friday" for 3 weeks and I would appreciate a REAL estimate for when the part would arrive. When I voiced a little frustration over the events at WWG she snapped that my part has been ordered and I could either wait or pickup my rifle. I will be picking up my rifle today and will never set foot inside WWG again. There are plenty of firearms stores here in Vegas and WWG is nothing special. They over promise and under deliver and when you insist on a real time estimate they tell you to take your business elsewhere. I will do just that and I would urge anyone to consider going elsewhere.
