First time shooting a gun at a shooting range, and it was a great experience! My husband and I came on a Sunday and we were able to get started immediately. Since this was my first time, I couldn't really compare it to other experiences, but one thing was that we were right next to 3 other people so it was very loud. I saw other rooms that didn't have any/less people in it, but we were put in the full room. Overall, I liked my experience here, but would probably want to try shooting at an outdoor range. read more

These guys are great! $15 for a lane, $10 for an additional person. You can use your own ammo or buy theirs. You can shoot up to 30.06 calibers as well. They have so many packages you can select even the VIP package which includes: private lane, comes with a bar, kitchen and slightly longer range. Paper targets are only $1! I was in law enforcement for 34 years, a range master and firearms instructor, but wanted to take the class to support my wife. The information in the class was presented very well, using a combination of media. The instructors were certified and prior military, and were very knowledgeable. If you have any reservations or fears don't. They were great with beginners or those with experience. They will give you whatever help or extra tips needed to make sure you are successful. I went to The Range 702 with my kids age 11, 13. It was my 11 year old son's birthday. The instructions were clear, and easy to follow. Everything was going well, until we were inside the range and my 11 year old heard the sounds coming from other guns. The sound overpowered him. He was instantly scared. He managed to shoot the glock, but he was apprehensive and didn't want to continue. At the time the 11 year old was shooting, the woman from the front desk was watching the 11 year old. She came in and gave him a pep talk and helped him overcome his fear. She even took him outside while my other son took his turn. She displayed empathy as well as compassion. After her talk with him. He was able to shoot two other guns without difficulty. She walked him through the entire process and was right next to him the entire time. Everyone at the Range was amazing. We had an amazing experience at 702 Range thanks to Oscar! He assisted us during our range session and later helped us with our CCW class. Oscar is incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and friendly, but what really made the experience special was that he's bilingual. Spanish is my wife's first language, and being able to communicate with her in Spanish made the class much easier to understand and much more enjoyable for her. Visited The Range 702 recently just to check the place out and ask about getting my concealed carry permit. Really cool selection of guns, at decent prices and the whole place is clean and well set up. The staff was super friendly and didn't make me feel rushed or dumb for asking questions. I booked Range 702 after the CCW class that I was in at Precision was cancelled 18 hours before class time. Luckily, there was a spot open in the July 26 class. All I can say is great! Casey was the primary instructor and was assisted by a young man whose name escapes me but he LOVES energy drinks ; ) These two were great! They kept the class going with true life videos and stories. They made sure pertinent information was covered. The facility was very clean and professional and all employees that I interacted with were tops. Thank you 702 and instructors. I have zero complaints or recommendations to make the class better. Went through their CCW class yesterday with Casey as the instructor and it was a great course. Being from California, this course really caught me up with all the laws in Nevada and differences from carry license expectations between each state. Casey made the class entertaining and not boring which is nice because it's a full 8 hour class. Make sure to bring snacks and water as well. All of the staff is very nice at the facility and doesn't make you feel unwelcome. I spoke to both sides of the registers because I had questions on the memberships and about the facility and everyone was awesome! Yes, a ton of options in the city to go to but there is a reason they do 500+ ccw applicants a month :) GO!!!! read more

I signed up for The Range 702's CCW renewal class mostly out of convenience and affordability. I also was curious as they appear to have a big social media presence. The CCW renewal class started promptly and was well organized. All directions were clearly laid out in the confirmation email and follow-up emails, including parking across the street in the Hustler parking lot. The renewal course runs four hours and includes about three breaks, each roughly 10-15 minutes, which made the pacing reasonable and manageable. Our initial instructor was Nick B, who stepped in to cover while Jeffrey B arrived a bit late unexpectedly. Nick was great, calm, approachable, and clearly experienced. He has that "gentle giant" presence, which is especially impressive considering he's competed in Ironman more than once. Jeffrey appeared extremely knowledgeable, not just about firearms and training, but also the retail side of the business, which gave the whole operation a very competent, professional feel. What stood out to me most is that The Range 702 really does appear to be a one-stop shop. From the brochures and information available, they offer everything from basic firearm instruction to CCW courses, one-on-one training, home defense classes, gunsmithing, and even custom holsters for hard-to-fit firearms like certain micros. And none of it appeared outrageously priced. The CCW class itself had its own dedicated shooting range, separate from the public range, which was a nice touch and made the experience feel focused and efficient. Honestly, I was afraid the overall vibe would be super performative, but I was surprised in that the staff and attendees were welcoming with no ego & no weird energy (iyk yk). I also really liked seeing female representation among the staff. Firearms spaces are still often male-dominated, and it was refreshing to see clear balance and inclusion here. They also offer opportunities for kids and teens, which for me, speaks to their emphasis on safety and education. Overall, my experience with The Range 702 exceeded my expectations. What I initially assumed might be all show turned out to be a solid, well-run operation with knowledgeable instructors, a wide range of services, and a chill environment. Went here not too long ago for a 1 on 1 beginner class to learn about and shoot my first firearm and my Instructor Ian explained the basics of the firearm very well and the way he taught me helped me understand very easily how to go about checking/holding the firearm, and knowing the in's and outs of a firearm. I also have to shoutout James at the counter when I went to buy my first gun. He and Ian explained to me about all the accessories there are and what specific accessories would improve my gun. James also explained the different types of ammo there are and what they're used for and James also answered all the other questions I had about my first gun. Shoutout The Range 702. Had a very good experience at The Range 702 in Las Vegas. It's located just off the Strip, which made it super convenient. We dropped in on a Monday morning and had no problem getting a time slot. We went with the One & Done single gun package and a couple of Triple Threat gun packs for our group. Everything was well organized, and we felt very safe the entire time--the staff was professional and walked us through everything clearly. It's definitely on the pricier side but if you're visiting Vegas and want to try shooting in a controlled and high-quality environment, it's worth it. Always love coming here. Great clean functional lanes, friendly workers and reasonable prices. The guys and gals that work here are very knowledgeable and helpful with firearm information, laws, CCW questions, and so forth. They have a great selection of guns for purchase as well as a good amount of ammunition. They don't have as many accessories like magazines, holsters, eye and ear protection, safes, backpacks, etc. Other gun stores have more but you don't come here for accessories you come to shoot at a safe, clean indoor range. Great talking to them today and giving me and my dad great insights on some of the guns we shot there today. Only thing I don't like is you can't practice and shoot from a concealed draw. As a CCW holder I like going to certain outdoor ranges that allow this. It's definitely necessary to practice from a concealed draw if you carry regularly. But I get it's probably for safety reasons. This place is just ok. It's more of a tourist attraction. ​Renting guns are way overpriced. Apparently there are a lot of celebrities that come but it's most likely because it's close to the airport. Inside is nothing special, actually pretty small. It not dirty, but you can tell its been years since any TLC was given. Paint chipping everywhere and just overall blackish gray from all the gunpowder. People are a hit and miss. There are nice people in there but also 1 or 2 "jerks" that treat you like you are dumb. For example, I went up to the counter one time and asked about "renting" a gun. The guy looks at me and says "we dont rent guns." I pause for a sec and then ask "oh i meant how much would it be to rent a shotgun and like 20 shots?" He then repeats with an attitude that they don't rent guns. So I just walk away and go talk to a person I know, where he explains to me that they don't "rent" guns but instead you pay for an "experiance" to use the guns they have in-store. Like dude really because I used the word "rent" instead of "experiance" you're gonna treat me like an idiot and pretend to not know what im asking about? Cool thanks Thanos. I'm actually gonna take a star off and keep it at 2 instead of 3 because I just remembered this and it annoyed me. I still come here because it's close and I have my own gun, but I did find an outdoor range that's a little out of my area but very friendly people. I may start to shift over there.
