Reunited with my fellow archery friends at Clark County Shooting Complex in Upper Las Vegas, where they have been since they were forced to move out of their indoor practice space a few months back. It's about a 45-minute drive from where I live and, despite not having to worry about driving long distances because I have an electric car, I wanted to wait until the weather cooled down a bit. They practice on Saturday's from 8:00am-10:00am. My GPS told me to pull into a parking lot at the complex, but since this was my first time here, I wasn't sure if I was in the correct place. Then I realized I had to drive a little further up to get to the actual building to get all checked in. My friend had told me in advance that I would have to sign a waiver and watch a safety video first before getting started. After watching the safety video and signing all the necessary paperwork, the lady that helped me handed me a brochure and instructed me on where to go to get to the archery range. The archery range, separate from the shooting (pistol/rifle) range, is located further down in the complex, where you turn onto a small road from the parking lot to get to it. This is a supervised range, and you will need to check in and show your pass and punch card each and every time before you shoot. I was not given a punch card during my first time here, so I had to show my receipt as an alternative. It was a very nice day to shoot some arrows, although it started getting a little windy as time went on. I've been practicing archery on and off for the past couple of years and I had a lot of fun here and enjoyed the great outdoors. I'm looking forward to coming back here on Saturday mornings! read more

This is such a cool activity and a bit of a hidden gem! I actually found out about their archery range and lessons from TikTok and had been planning to check it out for a while. My Friend and I did a Thursday night lesson to do something different for girls night. Upon arriving, since it was our first time we were asked to watch a safety video and sign waivers prior to starting. If you come during the day there was a little cafe to get food and drinks if you were planning on spending the day out there. The range is outdoors and the weather was perfect. When we first arrived it was not super busy. There are about 12 spots for the beginners to shoot from. For $15, we were able to shoot as much as we wanted from 6:30-8:30 which I thought was a great price especially since it included rental equipment. The staff were super friendly and helpful with suggesting tweaks to aim/shoot better. Over time, more people arrived and the staff gave the option for those who had gotten comfortable shooting at the closest range if they were interested in trying a farther target to make space. Although the crowd was larger, it never felt overcrowded and we never had to wait on a lane to be open. We're already making plans to bring our husbands back to try it out too, so it's safe to say we enjoyed it! read more

What a well maintained shooting complex! We enjoy coming to this range. The kids tried out an archery class and enjoyed it as well.

I came here with friends for the Annie Oakley program on September 23 and October 7. Really amazing program and instructors here! They are thorough and patient, friendly, and didn't make me feel the least bit intimidated or uneasy. I had only been shooting one other time and it was 10 years prior to those nights. I really appreciate they offer a women's only class. Looking forward to going again soon with friends! I hope this program never ends and am so appreciative everything that they offer. read more

Whether you're a beginner or expert shooter, the CCSC is a perfect range to enjoy and hone your skills. Prices are reasonable and they have everything to rent or buy as well. The range is outdoors and is located at the very north end of Decatur Blvd on the North side of town. The range also has a skeet shooting course if shot guns is your thing. Otherwise, there's a handgun course and a rifle course to enjoy. Pro tip: On windy days the range may have to close down for safety reasons. read more

I'm only been here twice. both were for the same tournament. the place is HUGE. they've got 2 separate sporting clay courses and a full array of 5-stand, skeet and trap. the staff has been pretty cool to deal with. we brought our golf cart with us from out of town and knew in advance that all the trailer or RV spaces were used up. they said in advance that they would accommodate us and our need for power to recharge the our cart. pretty awesome when people are so willing to be helpful and just make everything work. read more

My husband and I came here last week for the beginner's shooting class and had a great experience. I've always been a bit uncomfortable around guns, but my friend suggested I try shooting as a stress reliever. After months of contemplating, I decided to give it a try and asked my husband to come along for support and also since it's been a really long time since he's gone shooting - thought a refresher couldn't hurt. Everyone at the range was incredibly friendly and our instructor Rich was very professional and taught me so much about handling a gun properly and how to safely shoot. I ended up having a fantastic time and it really was a great stress relief. The indoor facilities / classrooms were very clean. Both buildings had nice restrooms on site. The shooting area was perfectly maintained, covered, and they have it built out so you can place your target at your preferred distance. I cannot recommend the Clark County Shooting Complex enough. This was a very positive experience for my first time handling a gun. read more

I went here this past Sunday and the place is huge. It is very clean and organized, and there are many shooting options and inexpensive. The office staff is very helpful and super friendly. On the range the safety is well regulated and the range officers are really great. They were very friendly and very helpful. The experience was really enjoyable from start to finish. I forgot how nice it was to shoot outdoors. I only brought 5 of my firearms, I should have brought the other 5 and stayed the entire day! read more

Best outdoor range in Vegas period! Easy access, daily price is cheap, complex is clean, range masters are competent.

Nice, organized, clean, range that has plenty of distance options! Decided to check this place out since I usually go out on my own in Sloan or Jean when I do my outdoor distance shooting. I needed to zero a optic for a new .308 rifle I got, and wanted to do it at a professional range with actual distance markers. Read plenty of reviews on this place, I've been living in Vegas for over 6 years now and as avid shooter, I decided to drive up here and give it a try. When it comes to the gun/2A community, it can be a very unwelcoming feeling sometimes when you visit certain gun shops/gun ranges. In my experience, if you don't look a certain way, sometimes you don't get the best customer service or taken seriously. I'll just leave it at that without going into detail. But this place was very friendly and welcoming! From the front counter staff to all the RSO's on the firing line! The ladies at the front desk were very polite and courteous with the whole check in/checkout process, after I told them it was my first time here they were very happy to help me and answer all my questions. The RSO's on the line are friendly and welcoming as well. They have a good system of managing the safety for everyone on the range and are also very accommodating with any questions you have. I've been in this hobby for a while now so gun safety is second nature to me. The RSO's can be stern when they need to be as I witnessed a few young shooters not following directions of a cold range and handling their firearms when they weren't supposed to, so the staff is always on their toes, as they should be. This is defiantly a great range to check out, I brought 2 rifles with me, so next time I'll bring some pistols to try out the handgun side of the range. I'll also bring some friends and family here when we are looking to shoot! I live on the complete opposite side of town, but it's definitely worth the 35 minute drive! read more

Gorgeous n spacious outdoor range/facility about a 30 min. drive from the strip. Designated zones accompanied by mountain peak views for whatever you're into (rifle, handgun, skeet/clay/trap, and archery as well.) If you don't bring your own, there are a large number of options to choose from (especially Sig Sauer) with specific regard to pistols. It's a tightly run ship so make sure you're good with that but definitely worth the drive... read more

Visited this place with my S/O and we were able to purchase a Groupon online for gun rental, safety ware, and 2 targets for about $30! We spent $17 each for ammunition for our 9MM pistol. 9mm come with 50 bullets, which goes by a lot faster when you're out there. It was a bit confusing finding the place, but every worker was very helpful to guide you where you need to go. Definitely recommend to try something new and this place was clean and very safe! read more

Great facility! Staff is knowledgeable and professional and nice. The only criticism is that they put higher caliber ammo (556 etc) shooters next to the pistol shooters and it's not pleasant shooting next to one of them even with great ear protection. Wish they would place them away from the standard pistol shooters using 9mm, or similar rounds. read more

I am brand new to owning and handling guns. I wanted to gain confidence in myself and my capabilities and decided to take up learning to shoot as a hobby. With a little research, I chose to buy a Glock 19 and took it to the range to well... Learn on my own lol. When first arriving you have to watch a 8 minute video about rules and safety at the range and are the provided a yellow card to show you watched it. I then bought a blue card that allows for 12 visits to the range. I was very VERY nervous upon walking to the shooting table and felt so out of place. My dad and brother in law were with me but they were brand new too. We took target practice up as a family hobby all at the same time and it was only their second time going so they also did not know what they were doing. Every few tables is a range safety officer and all of them are very knowledgeable and know their ways around most guns people bring to the range. They immediately saw I was a beginner and were more than ready to help. A older gentleman stood behind me, ready to give me advice and show me how to properly hold my gun, clear the jams, and help me learn to prevent the jams in the first place. I learned a lot more than I ever expected the first time I went but I was still nervous and new. I stuck with it and kept going every couple days. Each time I went either the same older gentleman or a new person would walk around sweeping up the bullet casings while being watchful and ready to jump in whenever anyone needed help with anything and always readily helped me whenever I needed it. After 4 visits I was confident enough to take my CCW and passed easily. After 10 visits I was confident enough to purchase a Glock 44 for cheaper target practice and a Glock 43X MOS for my CCW. I did a lot of research for the guns I bought and read all manuals. I had learned enough over my time at the range to walk in with my 2 brand new guns and handle them easily without help. I wouldn't recommend going to the range with literally 0 experience like I did lol but if you are inexperienced and worried about safety then this is the place to be. They are very friendly and super ready to help in anyway possible and if one person can't answer a question they will find another who can. I've seen more experienced shooters get annoyed by all the safety rules but when you have dummies like me those rules are definitely necessary! read more

Came here after buying a Groupon deal for 2! This was my first time ever shooting a gun, but I felt very safe and well directed at this location. The staff were super friendly and help guide my partner and I on basic use and safety of gun usage. The day we went was a bit windy so it made it a bit more challenging, at least for me it was, especially since we were outside. Besides that, we did enjoy the fact the shooting range was outdoors since it helped to dissipate the shooting sounds. Overall, we had such a fun experience and wouldn't mind coming back in the future! read more

My wife, son and I went to CCSC Sunday April 28. We're beginners, but we've shot guns before, but we're not familiar with safety and gun safety. We've been considering getting a gun, but want to be educated in all things safety before we purchase. I had a little anxiety about admitting I knew little about guns in front of my son, but if you want to learn, you gotta admit you know nothing first. When we checked in I asked if we could have a safety instructor assist us and they were very accommodating. Guy was in charge of our lanes and was very helpful. He was a bit stern, but honestly I think that is beyond necessary. Guy was great with my son and by the end of the day he was calling him Wyatt Earp. We had the best time and it was a day I'll never forget. Thanks Guy for making it possible! read more

The range is of very high quality and safe. The only challenge is finding a time when it is not way too hot during the summer or crowded during the nicer weather. Their hours are limited, so when they are open, they can be packed. read more

Awesome spot, went here yesterday for the first time and was pleasantly surprised at how friendly all the staff were - completely understanding with a first timer like myself, RSO's were both helpful AND funny-- I've found my new outdoor range home! The facility itself wasn't bad but some of the employees working at the range we not pleasant and had poor attitudes and I personally saw grown men being scolded like 5 year olds for having one foot on the yellow line that were not in my party there was a particular employee who treated me like I was an idiot and made a scene of it sad because we had fun but right before leaving his egos came out and ruined our experience so I'd rather pay two or three times the amount to have more respect and manners for new Comers plus if you want people to learn all the safety correct and not make innocent mistakes that are not life threatening you should have a employee talking and answering questions not just go in the room and when you think your ready sign your name and go shooting so no I would not go back read more

Great staff, great prices. The ammo you can buy there sucks ...the rso's are great, practice good safety....super friendly and helpful

This is a great shooting facility! It's an outdoor range with separate areas for shotguns, rifle/pistol ranges, and even training courses. It's $10 for the range fee and you can bring your own ammo (other places may require you to purchase their overpriced ammo). I would give this place 5 stars if they had metal targets instead of paper ones. There is no option to bring your own either. Hopefully it's something they may add in the future. Regardless, I recommend this place to all my friends who want to go to a shooting range with some structure instead of the open desert. read more

So my cousin was in town and he likey the guns. He especially wanted to go clay pigeon shooting. After a quick google search followed by verification of reviews we found Clark County Shooting Complex. It's up in the northwest side of Vegas and pretty straightforward to get to. Pro Tip: Stopped off at the Walmart about half a mile from the Complex to buy shotgun ammo, ear plugs and safety glasses unless you already have them. Apparently you can get these at the Complex as well, but it's cheaper at Walmart and you can pick up other things such as Funyuns, Pop Tarts, and 10 hangers for 99 cents. Anyhow I digress.......Not being a gun affection-ado I let my cousin handle the ammo selection. All I know is we bought shotguns rounds that were red and went BANG! The Shooting Complex itself is pretty impressive. Plenty of parking and the lobby to check in and rent a shotgun. Overall the place is clean with really nice employees. This complex also has a separate handgun range and archery area if you were so inclined. The rental process is pretty easy. You sign some forms, watch a short safety video, go through a briefing, get the rental gun, are handed a card to activate the clay pigeon launchers, quick overview of the shooting station map, and then you're off to the range. The day we went there wasn't anyone else out there. The shotgun and shooting stalls are all very neatly organized and well kept. Each shooting station has two launchers with a diagram of the approximate trajectory of where the targets will be flying to and from. The shotgun like everything else was well maintained and operated flawlessly with our red, PEW PEW Walmart ammo. A few clay pigeons were blasted to smithereens and alot more escaped our hell fire only to crash and shatter on the ground. I learned a few things that day: 1) Clark County Shooting Complex is well run and definitely worth a visit if you wanna get some shooting in. 2) Duck Hunt on the old Nintendo was way easier. 3) Chocolate filled PopTarts suck, stick with the Strawberry ones. 4) In a zombie apocalypse I'm worthless and would probably end up using all your ammo and hitting nothing. read more

This place is so fun!!! It was my 1st time coming to this complex and I was surprised how huge and well set up this place is!! It was my 1st time here, so they made me watch the CCSC Safety Video, about 8 min long, and sign a waiver. We showed up around 3 and we did have to wait about 30 min to wait for a lane. I wasn't sure that we were going to be able to have time to shoot our guns since they do close at 5. I like that they have different areas for the guns that you have. We were in the pistol and rifle area. We took out Glock 19 and our BCM AR Pistol. Shooting these guns in open air is so much better than an indoor range. We will definitely be returning to this place. Side note... the views up here are amazing!!! read more
