Before entering the shooting area, they showed us an instructional video and went over all the safety rules to make sure everyone felt comfortable and prepared. The cost was $27 per person for an hour, which I felt was reasonable for the experience. They also have a small area where you can purchase drinks, and there is a restroom inside the facility for convenience. One thing I thought was really cool is that you can take your target sheet home at the end as a souvenir. I will definitely be coming back, especially for an adults-only outing. I purchased a compound bow from Impact Archery, this was my first compound bow, they were super informative and helped me pick out the right bow for my intended price range, when my bow arrived, Charlie and Tracy were a great help, they set my bow up and cut my arrows, Tracy gave me a lesson, and help me with my form and the fundamentals, he is a great teacher! Terrible - Rude, Zero Customer service! Came in to shoot for an hour and was there early. The kid working there was not friendly at all or seemed to have cared for customers whatsoever. Asked if it was possible to start early but was told to wait for one more person. After a while, that person never showed up and was told to just watch the instructional video with no apologies for waiting or an explanation I asked for an arm guard and the kid said he'll show me how to hold the bow to not hurt my arm but I know with my hyper extended arm that it will hurt me from shooting a bow and arrow previously Was walked out by the kid and he basically told where to stand and he wanted to walk off right away. I again asked for the arm guard and he gave me the rolled eye attitude and finally got it for me and never showed me how to hold the bow to not hurt my arm. We had a one-hour private archery lesson with Caleb and had such a great experience! Caleb was an excellent instructor--patient, knowledgeable, and fun to learn from. He taught us the proper techniques for aiming, holding the bow, and shooting with confidence. We also got to try different bows, which made the experience even more enjoyable. If you're looking for an archery range where you can have a fun, enjoyable experience with warm, friendly, and highly experienced staff, do not go to Impact Archery. The young boys running the front are inexperienced, disorganized, and easily sidetracked. I'm unsure if the lady running the range when we showed up actually worked for Impact, but she certainly acted like she owned the place. However, it was abundantly clear she was mostly interested in filming her TikTok videos. In between filming, she walked around belittling others and making it a point to show how much she outshined everyone with her "superior" knowledge. Beyond that, the store's equipment is in an extremely poor state. Rental bows were fixed with tape. Many of the arrows were bent, missing vanes and completely blunted; they had a difficult time even piercing the overly tattered, worn-out compressed cardboard targets. This place is absolutely not worth the price you pay to shoot there. I don't plan to return and hope this review helps others avoid a very disappointing experience. read more

After purchasing her a new bow, we called the shop to see if we could get some professional help assembling everything and getting it dialed in. When we showed up an hour later, Charles immediately put his lunch aside, cleared the workbench, and got straight to work -- talk about dedication! From the moment we walked in, Charles was friendly, personable, and unbelievably knowledgeable. He made us feel right at home, getting to know us and even sharing his own stories while he meticulously built out the bow. He took the time to let her choose all her favorites - serving colors, peep size, and every other detail you could imagine. Nothing was rushed, nothing was overlooked. Once the bow was set up, Charles brought us back to the indoor range and spent focused, one-on-one time making sure everything was perfect -- draw length, poundage, peep placement, sight tuning - you name it. He fine-tuned everything with an expert eye until it was shooting beautifully. Then he gave us time to shoot on our own and make sure we were 1000% happy with the final setup. The bald guy that gives lessons was rude and unwelcoming. Went a second time a week later and his attitude unfortunately didn't change...Recently went to Aces and Arrows to get my buddy another lesson. Stand up employees. You get an hour to shoot, however if you're shooting for the first time, there is around a 10 minute intro video to teach you. The staff is friendly and welcoming, but doesn't help you very much. There are not many pro shops for archery in town. Being a beginner at archery in Las Vegas it was almost a coin flip, but Impact Archery can always be seen from the freeway so it stuck in my mind. It was not a mistake to come here. Tracy, one of the shop runners, immediately sensed my excitement over the phone to get my first bow set up. After a quick session to get my draw length down and peep sight in, he tasked me to get arrows and a release. 500 spine is hard to find locally. It is more common to find 400 and up since those accommodate higher poundage. Anyway, arrows in hand I went back and got the arrows cut and tipped and was ready for my first real range session. Tracy gave me one piece of sage wisdom (actually he dropped another one on me today), almost zen like, which has, and will stick with me for many years I plan to put in this hobby/sport. Because there was minimal instruction except for the fundamentals and basics of shot setup and execution, the rest of the learning experience was for me to figure out my body and ease and correct my own mistakes with his words ringing in my head whenever I death grip the bow, or my head is tucked in, or I don't stand up straight, or my left shoulder is too high, or my draw arm isn't high enough, and even if my nose isn't touching the string. If you are a beginner like me and after a couple sessions get the ultimate satisfaction of hitting a target, do yourself a favor and get a membership. $50 dollars for the month is not bad since I was in there at least 6 times in the first week of this month. $10 an hour for a lane rental, but you have to bring your own equipment. I know people might be looking for cooler things to do, in Vegas, like axe throwing or shooting a machine gun, but trust me when I say, there's just something different about archery that is satisfying because you put your whole self into it. When looking for a place in Las Vegas to learn archery, I chose Impact Archery because of the friendly, laid back staff. From my initial conversation with Tracey on the phone, I knew this was going to be the place for me. I find Tracey to be completely professional while also being approachable, funny and fun, which is an important combination when learning anything new. I had very limited experience coming in and Tracey has help me build on that. He's been both encouraging and supportive, he has never made me feel dumb for asking too many questions or when I'm not immediately understanding something, which is also very important. It's obvious working with him that he knows what he's doing, every bit of feedback he's given has resulted in a better outcome, which, ultimately is the goal. The facility itself is centrally located, nice, clean, well laid out. They offer a full range of services. I was able to purchase the same compact bow that I practiced with, which was another reason I chose Impact Archery. I needed a place that had equipment I could use and try out before buying. My friend and I went to this place for the first time to try out archery. It was mainly my idea as I had been looking for a new hobby. The range was nice and safe. The safety rules were clear and straightforward. However, the service is another story. We were greeted by the coach (bald guy with a beard). After watching the safety video, he proceeded to demonstrate the proper archery techniques. I don't know what his problem was or whether he had a bad day, but he was disrespectful and condescending. He saw us being quite confused as we were both new to it, so he began intentionally making a grimace and talking very slowly as if we were mentally challenged. He also made weird comments such as "attagirl" or "good job! Good girl". Absolutely unprofessional. At the end of our session when we were about to leave, my friend and I thanked him to which he replied "don't ever come back! Hahaha I am joking". After all that, I still had the nerve to ask about a membership, but he cut me off and said "come here a couple of more times and we will talk about it". I would highly suggest the owner of this place to set some basic service guidelines for the employees. Until then, I will take my business elsewhere. read more

I had a good beginner experience coming here with a group of friends and my teenage nephew. Affordable and very safe! Participants are required to watch a safety/instructional video before proceeding into their archery range. I do wish that they would change or update their video to be shorter and more engaging/interesting. It was really long and I found myself and a few others dozing off. Anyways, once the video ended, we got inside and they helped give some tips on how to aim. I can't remember correctly if each person had 3 or 4 arrows, but once everyone was done shooting, then we were able to retrieve them at the same time. Loved the range and it's so close to my job that I could come here after I get off and get some reps in, but I did a class with the bald guy and he soured the whole experience for me and my friend. My team had a blast and no one got hurt! That's all that matters. I booked an hour at Impact Archery for a teambuilding event. We had a nice instructor that was guiding us throughout the session. He was very informative and easy going while we got our Katniss Everdeen on. We did watch a quick safety video before starting our shooting sesh and it wasn't busy at all during the afternoon. I cannot say enough good about this place. Our first visit was with a Groupon to try it out with my daughter. She loved it and we ended up signing her up for their youth program (JOAD). We've been coming since Fall last year and she has improved on her skills and confidence tremendously thanks to all the amazing coaches, supportive staff, and families. I have to give a big shout out to Coach Tracy, especially. He was so patient with my daughter as they figured out the best way for her to shoot due to a disability she has with her arms. Once they worked out the best way for her, she has continued to improve in great strides. Impact Archery is not just an extra-curricular activity for us.... it has become a wonderful community of supportive coaches who cheer, encourage, and educate the kids while making it a safe and fun environment. Shooting with a bow and arrow is definitely a skillful art. I think everyone should at least try this place once. Impact Archery is a fantastic indoor shooting range that offers a safe way to practice. It is highly recommended to call first and make prior reservation. Often times they will have a big group and it's better to ensure that there is space available. They encourage participants to check in 20 minutes early. There is a waiver form to be signed which takes less than 5 minutes. Cost for an hour session is $25. You watch a 10 minute instructional video on how to properly hold the bow and the correct way to shoot an arrow. They also include safety tips. After the video, we go as a group to our assigned number. I had number 10. Each of us has a bucket with four arrows. These arrows have color labels. It's very important to pay attention to the opposite color on the arrow before shooting. As a precaution, we're advised to wait for the last person to finish. Once it's clear, everyone will safely walk to their target to retrieve their arrows and then we wait for our queue to shoot again. I was challenged in the beginning. My first shot aimed in between the cushions. A couple of my arrows bounced off the target. Then my arrow shoots at number 11 and at number 9, when I should be targeting number 10. All this time I wonder, how is it that Katniss Everdeen make shooting look so easy. I finally got some pointers from Matthew. He is a Pro Shooter and will help whenever he can. After a few shots, I was able to land on gold which is such a relief! It's very relaxing to shoot and there's no pressure. I can see this as a fun hobby. From the initial reservation until the end of class session, Jill and Bree have been extremely helpful and accommodating. I'm already planning to make another return. They do offer private lessons. If you want to continue practicing, you can sign up for a monthly membership. Other than that, just go and try them out. It's fun for all ages. This place was so fun! I found this place through Groupon. What's awesome is that they were able to honor the Groupon price without having to purchase the session on Groupon, so today I paid $23.38 for my friend and I to play for 1 hour. When you go in, you're going to have to fill out the Shooting Range Waiver, and then of course, pay for your session. Then, you're gonna watch a quick video of a man, explaining the basics of archery. It was a simple video, and I recommend you pay full attention if you're a first-timer like me. Haha We finished watching the video and started heading towards the back. You're going to see a bunch of archery equipment that you can buy, and at the back, there's a sitting area where you can watch the archers do their thing through a glass window. We were escorted to the range by Sawyer. I really appreciate him the most because he was super friendly and patient and just straight up kind! He gave us tips on how to shoot and also guided us to make sure we were doing things right. We received 4 arrows each. When you finish shooting, you gotta wait to make sure everyone finished shooting their round too before retrieving your arrows. The 'rangemaster' will indicate when it's "Clear!" to get your arrows and when to start shooting again. Overall, it was such an amazing experience, especially for it being my first time. What a fun experience! Booking on Impact Archery's website was straight forward and I appreciated the good communication system - I immediately received an email, and later a text reminder that prepared us well for our visit. My bf and I decided to come here for a little date night. It cost $30 for 1 hour pp with equipment rental included. You have to arrive 20 min before your start time to watch an instructional/safety video. After the video, we entered the target room and the staff (I can't remember the guys name for the life of me, but he was tall with long hair) helped us get situated. He was very knowledgeable and helpful, being it was our first time. Archery is definitely not as easy as it looks. My hands stayed cramping after we were done with the session and I have a bruise from holding the bow the wrong way, lol.
