Roof Top shot with the option of engaging targets out to well over 1000 yards.

I took the second class in the precision rifle series this past weekend. My brain is still downloading and processing the brilliant and valuable training I was taught at the Max Ordinate Class located at their Apple Valley Facility. What an experience!! The training at this school is second to none and I can't wait to practice all of the skills I have learned. I'm really looking forward to my next class with Tyler and Paul at the school. The range itself is just something you have to experience as a precision shooter. Its like going to the raddest shooting gallery of all time.

I recently took the Gunfighter Evolution class with Max Ordinate Academy (MOA) and was very glad I did so. The class was very progressive in the techniques they teach. The principles taught are very applicable to a gunfighter and make sense. The fact that these principles make sense are big factors in how I understand things. I can never grasp a concept until I know the "why I should do it that way" and Ryan/Tyler were very willing to help me understand. I gained a massive amount of knowledge from this class that will change the way I shoot from this point forward. One of the things I really liked about the class is the knowledgeable staff. ALL of the staff is VERY willing to answer questions at any time, explain techniques, and be there for any thing one might need in this training. The range was a bit far from home. Which means it was a good place to train. Nothing in or near the city would allow for such training. The terrain and placement of cover lent itself well to the training and was a beautiful spot of California to deal with. I highly recommend this company and their staff. In fact I can not wait until I can return for another class, and I know I am not alone in this feeling as there were students in my class that were return students. People paying the hard earned to come back and train with the same company says a lot about the quality MOA represents.

Bet you can't name another place in California to do this. Facility was beautiful.

Make sure and have your own fire arms unloaded prior to coming . You have choices when it comes to shooting a gun that you would maybe like to own. Shoot it first and see if that fire arm is actually what you want. You can bring your own ammo and even purchase more here as needed . There are no appointments here. We entered the store and did not receive a "Welcome in" or any type of greeting you would normally receive when entering a store as a paying customer. As we approached the counter we were met with an employee that was extremely dismissive and unprofessional. His attitude was relentlessly negative, and his behavior was clearly designed to obstruct the transaction rather than assist. As I began to fill out the background form, he took it upon himself to look up my address and it was determined that the address on my Driver's license would not satisfy the residential requirement on the background form, which I can easily have fixed with the DMV, however, he stopped the transaction and was extremely rude about it and was not helpful in explaining the process. When he was questioned about certain "store policies" he was making up during our conversation, he was unable to provide an answer, he was unhelpful and also refused to provide his or his superiors names when asked as well, we were told "we don't give out names here". We left the store with the intention to return the following day with the address correction documentation. The very next morning I received a call from the original dealer that Precision Armory was sending my merchandise back to them and the employee had made false allegations that we were attempting to make a straw transaction which has now damaged my reputation with the original dealer. There was absolutely no other explanation for this employee's behavior, other than he is racist and couldn't contain his disdain and hate for an African American man, it was evident all over his communication, expressions and demeanor, he couldn't hide it. Additionally, there are several other reviews from other customers citing similar discriminatory experiences with this store. I have made multiple attempts for the manager or owner to contact me directly, including a BBB complaint that has went ignored. I would not recommend this store, unless you support discrimination, racism and wickedness. There's so many other stores that will not treat their customers this way.

I was looking at the handguns before my time up to shoot. The sales people were very polite and seemed genuine. There is a good selection of handguns and they seemed reasonably priced. When we were checking on at the counter the girls behind the counter were super polite and made the experience friendly and positive. The range crew was an entirely different story though. They ruined the entire experience. Based on some of the other reviews I can see a lot of other people have had similar experiences. I put my wife's gun in a lock box and I was carrying it for her. Mine was on my hip in a holster, open carry and very visible. Like every other time I've open carried. There were two range officers inside the range (you can see through the windows). One of them waived us to come inside. You have to go through two sets of doors. The first one takes you to a very small waiting area before heading into the actual range. One of the range officers (who looks 22 years old), opened the second set of doors and started to waived us through and as he is doing so commences to yell at us "hurry up, get inside". Once inside, the second range officer (older white haired gentleman) waived me over to one of the lanes. I walked over as instructed and placed my gun on the table pointed down range. He then says to load it and fire 6 shots down range. I told him it was already loaded. That's when he starts to yell "you don't ever walk into this range with your gun already loaded". I just nodded. After firing my 6 rounds, he moves the target and says to fire 12 more. I do as he asked. He then moves it again and tells me to fire 12 more. Once I was done, I removed the magazine and locked the slide back. When I did that the barrel pointed 1 inch to the left, still putting down range and away. He freaks out and screams "Point the gun down range". I responded "it is pointed down range". I put the gun down and he starts to chastise me some more. I just ignored him and moved back to the window to wait for my wife. She was up next. She was going to use my gun also. I already laid out enough magazines for her to use and left the gun, with the slide back to show our wasn't loaded. She fired her 30 rounds, and the guy was overly nice. As if he was all of a sudden her coach. When she was finished she locked the slide back as I've shown her. He cleared her and said ok you're done. The holster was on my hip. The slide was back and no magazine was in the gun. She started to walk back towards me to give me my gun, when the infant range officer grabbed her and started to push her back to the lane, screaming at her that you don't walk away from the lane without the gun in a locked box. When he put his hands on her I almost grabbed that dude. Don't put your hands on my wife! I yelled at him. When he saw how upset it made her and I he just mumbled under his breath. The range crew ruined this experience and we will never be back here. What a horrible way to treat people. They get 2 stars because the sales crew and the front counter staff were good. When your range crew treats people like trash because you're in "their world", then the rest of your business suffers. Being a range officer doesn't give you the power to be flat out disrespectful and never gives you permission to put your hands on people. After leaving we drove up the road to another shop and bought 10 boxes of rounds and a new Kimber 380.

They were friendly and stayed hands-off once they saw I knew what I was doing. Performance: Ran drills at 10 yards (head) and 25 yards (torso). The lanes are well-lit and the facility is very clean, which makes for a productive session. Value: Hard to beat $24 for the whole day (good until they close). I brought my own guns, ammo, and targets, so for a straight range fee, the value is excellent. Highly recommend this spot whether you're a local or just passing through. I'll definitely be back.

The range safety officers are top-notch, striking a great balance between keeping things safe and letting you have a good time. Whether you're new to shooting or have been doing it for years, they're always there to help out and are great to talk to about all things firearms and night vision. One of my favorite things about this place is the huge selection of NFA firearms and suppressors. If you want to shoot something you don't see every day, this is the spot. On my last trip out, I rented several of my "unicorn" dream guns including a PKM machinegun which was a blast to shoot. Almost all of the weapons available are outfitted with high-end optics and lasers making them very enjoyable to shoot and really adds the "premium feel" to the experience. And if you've ever been curious about night vision but don't want to blow a ton of cash, their night vision rentals are the way to go. It's a great way to get your night vision fix before diving into the hobby. The outdoor range is beautiful and has plenty of space for activities and can accommodate multiple shooters. It's the perfect place to spend an afternoon (or night) dumping magazine after magazine. The prices manageable, and to be honest, I'd much rather spend my money shooting awesome guns with great people than lose my money at a blackjack table. I have no regrets in balling out on rentals and ammunition at all. If you're into shooting, you need to check this place out. If you come during the day there was a little cafe to get food and drinks if you were planning on spending the day out there. The range is outdoors and the weather was perfect. When we first arrived it was not super busy. There are about 12 spots for the beginners to shoot from. For $15, we were able to shoot as much as we wanted from 6:30-8:30 which I thought was a great price especially since it included rental equipment. The staff were super friendly and helpful with suggesting tweaks to aim/shoot better. Over time, more people arrived and the staff gave the option for those who had gotten comfortable shooting at the closest range if they were interested in trying a farther target to make space.
