Signed up for a concealed weapons course that I found on Groupon. The range was top notch, and the facility and classroom were clean and comfortable. It started at 0800 and didn't finish until a little after 5:00. The course had some safety instruction and some basic refresher info on your gun. We spent a good amount of time on the range shooting about 100 rounds. Then there was a test to qualify that was super easy, which everyone passed in our group. Then in the classroom there was a lot of information on the laws of Nevada and weapons. It concludes with a final multiple choice quiz which was also super easy. I really learned a lot, and the instructors were helpful and informative, all with a splash of humor. Eric was super knowledgable and professional, but kept me laughing the whole time. I guess there are shorter courses out there, but I really enjoyed this one, and recommend these guys for anyone interested in weapons or self defense training. I will take another class with them soon. read more

I attended the CCW class on 7/26/2020 and was really pleased with the professionalism and information given during the class. Eric used seriousness and comedy to full affect in delivering the messages. Took the CCW class. Eric was very informative and entertaining. Learned more in the 3 hour class time than the 8 hour Florida CCW class I took some years back. The 5 hour range time was the best experience I've had shooting. They teach you dry practice and proper de-escalation techniques. Which was very refreshing to me, considering the Florida class just droned on. Having that hands on experience I've gained so much than a classroom setting. I could not be happier with my ADAPT concealed firearms class today. I was originally planning to go to a range much closer to my house but had a horrible experience trying to register with them. I am so glad it didn't work out. The 45 min drive to the ADAPT class at the Clark County shooting park was well worth it and worth every single penny. There was 3 hours in the class room and 5 on the range. All of my questions were answered and I feel very well informed of the laws and regulation on conceal carrying. The range time was very informative and fun. I enjoyed all 3 instructors. They make it fun! I was never bored. They are witty and engaging while being professional. Just finished my Multi-State Concealed class with ADAPT and I never knew training like this was available. The other classes I checked out offered some classroom time and the a quick qualification on the range. ADAPT took the time to teach safety, grip, stance, how to use a holster, the best ways to conceal and many other things that you just wouldn't get elsewhere. We spent over FIVE HOURS in range time alone. The girl I shared a shooting table with had never fired a gun before our class and they took amazing care of her. Finished the Conceal carry course today. A lot of knowledge and experience was shared today. There were many aspects I loved about the class. Felt relaxed, was easy to ask questions, written test not to difficult, and plenty of staff to help when on the range. It isn't a very in depth class as such but more of the simple basics in safety, what to look out for, the importance of marksmanship etc. I prefer my time on the range as opposed to classroom instruction so I was glad to see we got quite a few hours of that. This company does most of their classes out at the Clark County Shooting Range, which is far from me personally but worth the drive. It's clean, spacious, and outside which means the noise from shooting isn't amplified like it would be in an indoor range. I personally don't like going to indoor ranges at all. I have only worked with Eric and Mondo, but they are both excellent instructors! I am by no means an expert shooter but they walk me through the drills at my own pace. The last class I went to we did a 6 pose barrier drill (not what it is called, I just don't know how else to describe it) and Mondo helped me through each step. Even though I was the only one who need it at this particular class, I felt good after doing it and I learned a lot. I haven't done their CCW class yet, but I will in the future. If you've only been to the CCW class, I highly suggest coming back for their other training classes too. Each class I have taken has been fun and informative. I always learn something new about shooting and self-defense which is the whole point of a CCW anyway, right? Overall, highly skilled instructors who are good at conveying information and making weapons skills/safety training fun and understanable. read more

The foundry training is the key to improving your skills and assessments to EDC living. I took the Concealed weapon permit class over the weekend. It was incredibly informative. They don't cut corners or leave early. You get a full 8 hours of instruction. The class begins and ends on time so be prepared for the long day and bring snacks and water. Eric, the instructor and owner is an excellent speaker and keeps the seriousness of the subject matter fun and engaging. He and the assistant instructors take great care in stopping multiple times throughout the day to assist, instruct and correct each and every student on their technique. I was nervous when I signed up but couldn't be happier with the experience and confidence I felt in handling my weapon by the end of the day. The team here at Adapt really covered all the basis I was expecting. The necessities were obviously what we were there for and although I may not be the best shot I truly left with knowledge that will help me to better my skill. The class is long but I would recommend them over and over. And just a tip although the Groupon is a great deal that we got without much knowledge going in, I did learn that calling them direct is just as well and you can still get amazing deals that obviously don't have to go through a third party which I think is awesome that they leave options. It was a hot day being on the range for 5 hours but they provide waters and encourage you to stay hydrated. You get an hour long lunch after the written and lecture portion of the class but the team continues their lectures on the range as well. The way they stress safety and the importance of why we were there was what I definitely walked away with. There was first time and seasoned shooters, men, women, military... all different skill levels for this permit course and everyone I felt was able to walk away with new knowledge. They have other courses available as well as women only courses they are definitely on my agenda to check out. read more

Being new to yelp I thought I should share my experience. I was a California native until 2012 and I moved to Nevada for work. for 30 years shooting guns growing up was punching holes in paper. Holsters were a fantasy growing up in CA. I decided that if I was going to carry a gun every day that I wanted to actually be trained to "carry a gun everyday". The free gun store classes seemed to offer an easy solution to put a gun in my waistband. Unfortunately the class consisted of a 7 hour death by powerpoint presentation that I could do with my eyes closed and a 30min test that was what I trained for my entire life living in CA.... punching holes in paper from a static position. Adapt made their 3 hours of class time fun and to the point and 5 hour range time a true experience in actual firearms training. I actually got motivated to seek additional training after I saw what 5 hours could do for me. I immediately signed up for a Foundry membership and after 1 course signed up for a 4 day defensive handgun at Front sight in Pahrump NV. I shot Distinguished Graduate my first time out. It felt so good when asked by range master if I could help be a safety coach and did I get previous training? My response was "one concealed carry course and one foundry session with ADAPT". Of course after returning to ADAPT I was feeling pretty confident and continued building my skillset. I was asked to audition for ADAPT instructor development education "AIDE" I happily agreed and have been training for 2 years. should be an ADAPT certified instructor soon and couldn't feel more accomplished. read more
