ADAPT Academy - At Adapt's CCW Course - Firearm Training Near Me - North Las Vegas, Nevada

Signed up for a concealed weapons course that I found on Groupon. The range was top notch, and the facility and classroom were clean and comfortable. It started at 0800 and didn't finish until a little after 5:00. The course had some safety instruction and some basic refresher info on your gun. We spent a good amount of time on the range shooting about 100 rounds. Then there was a test to qualify that was super easy, which everyone passed in our group. Then in the classroom there was a lot of information on the laws of Nevada and weapons. It concludes with a final multiple choice quiz which was also super easy. I really learned a lot, and the instructors were helpful and informative, all with a splash of humor. Eric was super knowledgable and professional, but kept me laughing the whole time. I guess there are shorter courses out there, but I really enjoyed this one, and recommend these guys for anyone interested in weapons or self defense training. I will take another class with them soon. read more

Great prices for CCW class. Went here with my sister for the ccw class. Had a blast. Great instructors. I taken a class before and by far this is a much better class. Great humor, personality, knowledge, and professionalism from this company. Highly recommended. They even offer group discounts. You won't regret it. Also class wasn't boring. My sister and I worked a grave shift and went straight to their class. We were awake for the lecture part and that says a lot. You won't regret it. Class goes by really quick with these guys. Thanks again adapt staff. read more

Just had a private lesson with Eric on handgun/carbine. I had a little experience with a pistol but was pretty much brand new with a rifle. Eric helped me with zeroing the red dot, and went over good fundamentals with focus on safety. He is very professional as well as friendly. Also extremely knowledgeable with his stuff, and I'll definitely taking more classes from him. Whether you are a beginner shooter or an advanced, I highly recommend taking a class from Eric. The other reviews don't lie! read more

I took a course yesterday for the NV concealed carry permit with ADAPT Academy. Eric and his staff were friendly, informative, knowledgable, and humorous. It made a day of 5 hours of outdoor range time in 111 degrees bearable. I HIGHLY recommend Adapt Academy for firearms instruction. read more

I came to ADAPT for my NV CFP. Wow, I got so much more. The classroom with Eric was outstanding. I learned more than I could have imagined and I loved the focus on de-escalation. The range time was so focused and I learned so much about my firearm and safety. I will be back for advanced training soon!!! Take this class and skip the Groupon and call them directly!!! read more

Eric is such a knowledgable and down to earth person. He really knows how to teach. being a woman somewhat new to firearms it was definitely a breath of fresh air, to be honest I was afraid to feel intimidated and out of place but that was not at ALL the case. He and Armando made me and my girlfriends very comfortable in taking a CCW class and they have such a great and genuine sense of humor. They make you feel confident and are so patient. I love that they really took the time to teach individually as well and not just as a class. They are top notch in professionalism and knowledge. The value you get for this class is just unbeatable I really feel I got taught by the best! You guys are in the right business, I can't thank you enough for this class, you make your students feel like family that is what really stuck out to me. read more

Just returned home after taking the May 2, 2021 CCW recertification class from Adapt Academy. What an enjoyable experience it was from start to finish. The instructors were friendly, professional, and extremely qualified making the entire day comfortable and interesting. The location they use was first class as well. Thanks Adapt!! read more

Very fun class with 5 hour range time, all instructors are very knowledgeable and helpful. Eric is the man, just let him know Mark Concepcion recommended you and he will give you the class for $60 instead off $100. This is the best class hands down read more

I attended the CCW class on 7/26/2020 and was really pleased with the professionalism and information given during the class. Eric used seriousness and comedy to full affect in delivering the messages. The practical portion of the class was engaging and I would strongly recommend it to anybody who would like proper coaching in handling their firearm. He helped identify changes in my grip that made my precision even better. It's a great deal and definitely worth it to learn proper technique when dealing with something as serious as a firearm. read more

Eric and the crew of ADAPT clearly go above and beyond in every aspect of their course offerings. I had the opportunity to do a one-on-one class and it was well worth the money. The instruction is first rate, both in the classroom and on the range. I simply can't imagine a more interesting or informative class than the one I was given. I wish there was a way I could make this recommendation stand out and excel to the degree that their training did. There are lots of places around to take training, but this is the one I completely and wholeheartedly recommend. read more

I could not be happier with my ADAPT concealed firearms class today. I was originally planning to go to a range much closer to my house but had a horrible experience trying to register with them. I am so glad it didn't work out. The 45 min drive to the ADAPT class at the Clark County shooting park was well worth it and worth every single penny. There was 3 hours in the class room and 5 on the range. All of my questions were answered and I feel very well informed of the laws and regulation on conceal carrying. The range time was very informative and fun. I enjoyed all 3 instructors. They make it fun! I was never bored. They are witty and engaging while being professional. I will recommend ADAPT to everyone. It was literally just how I was hoping it would be. Perfect. I feel lucky that I found ADAPT. read more

There are a lot of options out there to get a CCW permit but not too many with five hour range time. That was what made me sign up with these guys and I have to tell you I'm so glad! And so will you. When I signed up I was thinking 8am? In North Vegas? But trust me, I never once felt bored or sleepy. It was that informative and interesting. Once out in the range they teach you not only gun safety but how to shoot. They made one adjustment and I had my next ten shots in the orange from 21 feet away! I highly recommend these guys. ADAPT Academy - Great day of learning gun safety.... - Firearm Training Near Me - North Las Vegas, Nevada

Took my CCW class on Friday with Eric and his staff at ADAPT. I got a groupon deal for the class. However, after taking the class I would have paid the full price for what I got. The class allowed for way more range time than any other class I have ever looked in to. 5 hours on the range and 4 in the classroom. We learned the basics and more. Eric gave us real world experiences and trained the class on actual situations. The range was very interactive and I learned a wealth of things and I have been shooting most of my life. I would recommend this class to beginners or any one looking to broaden your knowledge on the CCW permit and carry process. read more

Just finished my Multi-State Concealed class with ADAPT and I never knew training like this was available. The other classes I checked out offered some classroom time and the a quick qualification on the range. ADAPT took the time to teach safety, grip, stance, how to use a holster, the best ways to conceal and many other things that you just wouldn't get elsewhere. We spent over FIVE HOURS in range time alone. The girl I shared a shooting table with had never fired a gun before our class and they took amazing care of her. By the end of the day she was shooting well and breezed through the qualifying. I wholeheartedly recommend this class and this company for anyone who wants MORE from their education. ADAPT will make sure you know how to handle yourself, and I am already checking on what other classes I can take with them. Thanks guys! read more

I took the CCW course that ADAPT and I thought it was a great course the instructor was very knowledgeable very fast guy with his hand. I would recommend the course if you wanna get your CCW permit read more

Took the CCW class. Eric was very informative and entertaining. Learned more in the 3 hour class time than the 8 hour Florida CCW class I took some years back. The 5 hour range time was the best experience I've had shooting. They teach you dry practice and proper de-escalation techniques. Which was very refreshing to me, considering the Florida class just droned on. Having that hands on experience I've gained so much than a classroom setting. Excited to take additional classes with the Adapt team! read more

This company does most of their classes out at the Clark County Shooting Range, which is far from me personally but worth the drive. It's clean, spacious, and outside which means the noise from shooting isn't amplified like it would be in an indoor range. I personally don't like going to indoor ranges at all. I have only worked with Eric and Mondo, but they are both excellent instructors! I am by no means an expert shooter but they walk me through the drills at my own pace. The last class I went to we did a 6 pose barrier drill (not what it is called, I just don't know how else to describe it) and Mondo helped me through each step. Even though I was the only one who need it at this particular class, I felt good after doing it and I learned a lot. I haven't done their CCW class yet, but I will in the future. If you've only been to the CCW class, I highly suggest coming back for their other training classes too. Each class I have taken has been fun and informative. I always learn something new about shooting and self-defense which is the whole point of a CCW anyway, right? Overall, highly skilled instructors who are good at conveying information and making weapons skills/safety training fun and understanable. read more

Eric and his staff were TOP Notch. Very informative class and just enough cheesy humor to keep your attention from dropping during the 3+ hour class time. Range time was really worth it. Besides the obvious safety items, it was very helpful to have the staff one-on-one help you fine tune your shooting skills. I was pleasantly surprised to have gotten more knowledge in this class than I expected. HIghly recommended. read more

Finished the Conceal carry course today. A lot of knowledge and experience was shared today. There were many aspects I loved about the class. Felt relaxed, was easy to ask questions, written test not to difficult, and plenty of staff to help when on the range. It isn't a very in depth class as such but more of the simple basics in safety, what to look out for, the importance of marksmanship etc. I prefer my time on the range as opposed to classroom instruction so I was glad to see we got quite a few hours of that. Thank you for helping me get my Conceal Carry qualifications. read more

Went on November 6th, 2016 to take a CCW course. Reason we went was because it was an outdoor range time of 5 hours! Totally awesome and worth it! If you are looking into taking a CCW class this is the place to go to, you get your money's worth and more! I'm going back to for more training as they offer an assortment of classes and training. Erik and Armando are awesome teachers/trainers. Couldn't be happier! read more

What can I say, Eric, Robert and Armando are the best firearms instructors in Las Vegas. Take the CCW and then you can get into foundry classes. The foundry training is the key to improving your skills and assessments to EDC living. I took the Concealed weapon permit class over the weekend. It was incredibly informative. They don't cut corners or leave early. You get a full 8 hours of instruction. The class begins and ends on time so be prepared for the long day and bring snacks and water. Eric, the instructor and owner is an excellent speaker and keeps the seriousness of the subject matter fun and engaging. He and the assistant instructors take great care in stopping multiple times throughout the day to assist, instruct and correct each and every student on their technique. I was nervous when I signed up but couldn't be happier with the experience and confidence I felt in handling my weapon by the end of the day. I would recommend this class to anyone and look forward to further instruction from Adapt. read more

The team here at Adapt really covered all the basis I was expecting. The necessities were obviously what we were there for and although I may not be the best shot I truly left with knowledge that will help me to better my skill. The class is long but I would recommend them over and over. And just a tip although the Groupon is a great deal that we got without much knowledge going in, I did learn that calling them direct is just as well and you can still get amazing deals that obviously don't have to go through a third party which I think is awesome that they leave options. It was a hot day being on the range for 5 hours but they provide waters and encourage you to stay hydrated. You get an hour long lunch after the written and lecture portion of the class but the team continues their lectures on the range as well. The way they stress safety and the importance of why we were there was what I definitely walked away with. There was first time and seasoned shooters, men, women, military... all different skill levels for this permit course and everyone I felt was able to walk away with new knowledge. They have other courses available as well as women only courses they are definitely on my agenda to check out. read more

Being new to yelp I thought I should share my experience. I was a California native until 2012 and I moved to Nevada for work. for 30 years shooting guns growing up was punching holes in paper. Holsters were a fantasy growing up in CA. I decided that if I was going to carry a gun every day that I wanted to actually be trained to "carry a gun everyday". The free gun store classes seemed to offer an easy solution to put a gun in my waistband. Unfortunately the class consisted of a 7 hour death by powerpoint presentation that I could do with my eyes closed and a 30min test that was what I trained for my entire life living in CA.... punching holes in paper from a static position. Adapt made their 3 hours of class time fun and to the point and 5 hour range time a true experience in actual firearms training. I actually got motivated to seek additional training after I saw what 5 hours could do for me. I immediately signed up for a Foundry membership and after 1 course signed up for a 4 day defensive handgun at Front sight in Pahrump NV. I shot Distinguished Graduate my first time out. It felt so good when asked by range master if I could help be a safety coach and did I get previous training? My response was "one concealed carry course and one foundry session with ADAPT". Of course after returning to ADAPT I was feeling pretty confident and continued building my skillset. I was asked to audition for ADAPT instructor development education "AIDE" I happily agreed and have been training for 2 years. should be an ADAPT certified instructor soon and couldn't feel more accomplished. read more

I took their Concealed Weapons Permit course, and it went way above any of my expectations. 1. Instructors were very knowledgeable and professional. 2. Course in a classroom was useful, and just as importantly well taught and quite entertaining. 3. Time on the range was sufficient, safe, very well managed by the instructors and satisfying. 4. You can feel personal care by all instructors, especially Eric. I am rating it 5 stars no doubt, and will recommend them to anyone I know. Great job! read more

Fantastic class! Eric and Armando are true professionals, very knowledgeable and very friendly. Class went by fast both in classroom and on range, was very informative and fun. I was very glad to see how assertive they are about teaching gun safety and enforcing it. So in response to Michael S. I've been to ADAPT and quite a few other schools and have had many shooting instructors and you know what? Eric and his team at ADAPT can't be beat. I know how to shoot, compete and even do some instructing and everytime I shoot with Eric I learn something new and walk away a better shooter. Eric's knowledge is encyclopedic and he'f funny as hell. If I was a betting man my guess is that you're one of those guys that thinks he can shoot but can't and can't deal with instruction. ADAPT ranks up there as one of the top school experiences that I've ever had. I send my friends there and I'm VERY picky with who I will expose my friends to. read more
