The cost was $27 per person for an hour, which I felt was reasonable for the experience. They also have a small area where you can purchase drinks, and there is a restroom inside the facility for convenience. One thing I thought was really cool is that you can take your target sheet home at the end as a souvenir. I will definitely be coming back, especially for an adults-only outing. It's about a 45-minute drive from where I live and, despite not having to worry about driving long distances because I have an electric car, I wanted to wait until the weather cooled down a bit. They practice on Saturday's from 8:00am-10:00am. My GPS told me to pull into a parking lot at the complex, but since this was my first time here, I wasn't sure if I was in the correct place. Then I realized I had to drive a little further up to get to the actual building to get all checked in. My friend had told me in advance that I would have to sign a waiver and watch a safety video first before getting started. After watching the safety video and signing all the necessary paperwork, the lady that helped me handed me a brochure and instructed me on where to go to get to the archery range. The archery range, separate from the shooting (pistol/rifle) range, is located further down in the complex, where you turn onto a small road from the parking lot to get to it. This is a supervised range, and you will need to check in and show your pass and punch card each and every time before you shoot. I was not given a punch card during my first time here, so I had to show my receipt as an alternative. It was a very nice day to shoot some arrows, although it started getting a little windy as time went on. I've been practicing archery on and off for the past couple of years and I had a lot of fun here and enjoyed the great outdoors. I'm looking forward to coming back here on Saturday mornings!

My Friend and I did a Thursday night lesson to do something different for girls night. Upon arriving, since it was our first time we were asked to watch a safety video and sign waivers prior to starting. If you come during the day there was a little cafe to get food and drinks if you were planning on spending the day out there. The range is outdoors and the weather was perfect. When we first arrived it was not super busy. There are about 12 spots for the beginners to shoot from. For $15, we were able to shoot as much as we wanted from 6:30-8:30 which I thought was a great price especially since it included rental equipment. The staff were super friendly and helpful with suggesting tweaks to aim/shoot better. Over time, more people arrived and the staff gave the option for those who had gotten comfortable shooting at the closest range if they were interested in trying a farther target to make space. Although the crowd was larger, it never felt overcrowded and we never had to wait on a lane to be open. We're already making plans to bring our husbands back to try it out too, so it's safe to say we enjoyed it!

Prior to man using a gun to kill and destroy other objects and people the use of a bow and arrow was used. The word archery comes from the Latin word arcus, which means bow and arrow. In fact, in an archery game the arrow can fly twice over again than what a cheetah can run. We have all these facts about archery. Why should one care about archery today? We don't hunt any longer? We have guns to shoot our enemies and kill our food? If one forgets their past history, like what is apparently happening today all these things are forgotten. Even if your not hunting, which I would never do. Taking an animals life for sport is wrong. That's just my personal preference. Im not going to hunt any humans either? But we need to keep the past alive here in the present. The staff here are very well trained in the skills of archery. Maybe not for hunting but just to keep the skill alive. Most of the staff are on the younger side as well. They build bows here for all price ranges. And can even teach you how to use your bow properly. While the bow and arrow was mankind's first weapon of choice and advanced technology. In many American Native cultures the bow and arrow symbolized an embodiment of magic as given through the spirit world. These days the bow and arrow has truly evolved. The compound bow is what we ended up taking home vs the recurve bow. The compound bow allows the user to draw with more control and less weight as you use it. The compound bow is truly better at accuracy than the recurve bow. Most individuals start on a recurve bow and graduate to a compound bow. The consistency of the compound bow might seem more complex it's easy to master with practice. A good shooter is known for their aim. Archery is in the love of watching the arrow fly and hit the target. Now focus your mind and let the bow be part of you. Aim and let go and watch the arrow fly to the target.

This location is two stories and very large. I remember the first time I visited, I thought it was as large as a Costco. There's been several times where my partner and I had to text each other to find one another because this place is so large. Very rarely will I shop with my partner. Friday was one of those rare days where I actually went shopping with him and we found ourselves upstairs in the Optics department. Jeff was working the counter that day, and he was very knowledgeable and friendly. He took the time to educate my partner on differences in magnification, and objective size. He showed my partner the different levels of each so that he can determine what would be best for his needs. I really appreciated that it did not feel pushy and was very education forward. Again, I'm not a super outdoorsy person so I may not be the best judge here, but I find this place to be extremely large with a wide selection to fit anyone's needs along with wonderful customer service.
