The Gun Store Range

Evert was an amazing instructor. Very knowledgeable and personable. We have shot here many times in the past and we always have a great experience.!

It's a clean and professional gun range that offers an array of firearms. Our party's instructor was a Marine who took the time to show us proper gun handling. Thanks, Evert, for a great time!

Fun and no pressure shooting at the range. Of course you can ask for that stress in challenging yourself but why if it's Vegas!!!

Professional & knowledgeable staff. I took one of their classes offered and walked out with more education in my tools for work and local Laws. Class instructors Felicia and Sasha were great at addressing all aspects and answering any questions given. I have taken many classes in California and this one here was just as good and up to date with the latest need to know in firearms. Unlike most other Firearm ranges and stores. The staff here are very welcoming and attenative. Thank you, Felicia & Sasha!

We just enjoyed a gun safety class at The Gun Store, 2900 E. Tropicana. The two instructors, Sasha and Felecia, made learning a pleasure. They really knew the laws, their subject matter, and were fun, as well as efficient in their presentation and examples. They answered all of our questions. They were especially patient and kind. Thank you both for a great experience!!!

FL during the intro to cocaine crack, boats washing up on shore with illegals, and extreme murder rates that were number 1 for many years throughout the USA. Our equipment was for the era. Our gun belts unlike today were 2.5 width with keepers and roger 3 holsters. this equipment prevented belts sliding and weapons being pulled out of holsters. I required a new holster to fit my Canik and all these shops sell is the new style. Thats ok but I had a set up that I liked and it worked for 20 long years. No local gun store could assist me and the under 30ish group of sales people came across with arrogance and called my set up old school. My last hope was NV Tactical and to my delight they had accessories that remove the pancake style holsters and can screw in the piece that allows one to use the thicker width belts. Not only did they show me how to make it work but I was able to purchase a magazine holder that fit my belt. great people. they took their time to show me some of the newer accessories and they even put my belt gear together as I just had a heavy duty shoulder operation a few weeks ago. so all you over 50 LE guys and older shooters, this gun store has everything for everybody. Check it out. friendly and knowledgable staff. check this place out.

Best price Very informative…read more Knowledgeable Always in stock We appreciate taking the time to explain and answer all our questions.

I had a very uncomfortable and disrespectful experience at Discount Firearms & Ammo…read more I walked in genuinely interested in purchasing a firearm for personal protection and presented my valid Nevada Real ID. Before anyone even asked what firearm I was interested in or explained the purchasing process, an employee wearing a cap immediately focused on my immigration documentation after hearing my Spanish accent. I placed my Real ID on the counter, but he would not even take or examine it and told me to put it back. Another employee, a man with a very long beard reaching down toward his stomach, then became involved. His tone was loud, confrontational, and disrespectful. At one point he asked whether I was Mexican simply because I spoke Spanish. I told him that speaking Spanish does not mean I am from Mexico and explained that I am from Costa Rica. I understand that federal and Nevada firearm laws may require permanent residents to provide additional immigration information or documentation during an actual firearm transfer. That was not my problem. My problem was the way I was treated. No one calmly explained the requirement. No one even took the time to look at my Real ID, show me a firearm, discuss what I was looking for, or simply say, "You can look today, and when you return with the additional document we can complete the transaction." Instead, the interaction became unnecessarily hostile. Based on the way the conversation changed immediately after they heard my accent and the questions directed at me about being Mexican, I personally felt racially/ethnically profiled. I have rarely experienced this kind of treatment in a business. A firearms store has every right and responsibility to follow the law. Customers also deserve to be treated professionally and respectfully while those requirements are being explained. Unfortunately, that was not my experience here.

We stop here every time we are leaving Vegas…read more My partner likes to fish, and I am not the outdoorsy type of person, so I walk through Bass Pro Shop and straight into the casino. This location is two stories and very large. I remember the first time I visited, I thought it was as large as a Costco. There's been several times where my partner and I had to text each other to find one another because this place is so large. Very rarely will I shop with my partner. Friday was one of those rare days where I actually went shopping with him and we found ourselves upstairs in the Optics department. Jeff was working the counter that day, and he was very knowledgeable and friendly. He took the time to educate my partner on differences in magnification, and objective size. He showed my partner the different levels of each so that he can determine what would be best for his needs. I really appreciated that it did not feel pushy and was very education forward. Again, I'm not a super outdoorsy person so I may not be the best judge here, but I find this place to be extremely large with a wide selection to fit anyone's needs along with wonderful customer service. Plus it's a bonus that it's connected to the casino. PS- they do have what I think are timeshare salesmans located at both entrances. They always ask if I'm interested in spinning the wheel and I politely decline.

They've got everything you could ever need for outdoor activities, from clothes to gear to actual boats and other vehicles. It's pretty incredible -- though they clearly lean towards their favored brands and don't always have the widest selection in all categories. I went in to look at the selection of pocket knives, and they did have quite a few at various price-points, from very cheap to the break-the-bank level, and I was able to find a couple of things right in my zone. The section was being manned by Jeff, who was very friendly and eager to show me every item I was interested in seeing. He did this with great calmness as others began asking for his help, and he nimbly juggled all of us without any unreasonable delay. Browsing through the rest of the store, I was astonished at the sheer number of firearms available -- but, to be honest, the gun selection may have been dwarfed by the volume of fishing gear. As a musician, I wish there were stores this large for instruments, but that's just not the way of the world. The only reason I'm not giving the store 5 stars is that their return and exchange process is a bit cumbersome. Jeff had accidentally given me the wrong color for one of my items... he was quickly able to retrieve the correct item, but was not authorized to make the exchange, so we had to go downstairs together so he could begin the process with someone at the Customer Service counter. They were all very nice, but I was raised in a family that owned retail stores -- I understand the need for keeping inventory accurate, but the process of swapping a color shouldn't be so time consuming. That's a corporate thing, and no fault of anyone in the store, but maybe they'll read this and make some adjustments. Jeff was great -- give him the power of the exchange!
