I came in there to ask him if he could remove an old Redfield Mount from a 1971 Remington 700 and he said he could do it, but in the process he drilled out the last hole removed half the threads . He claimed the screw was already broken when it clearly was not because I tried to remove it.The screw broke off while he was hitting it with a chisel or something, I can hear him banging on the gun in the back instead of using a torch to heat it up. Thats would soften the metal so he can try to back it out. Now I'm having a hard time finding machinist to figure out how I can get this thing back to factory. The gun will never be the same.
