This is the best gun shop Ive done business with in Vegas. Its a smaller shop, stocked with everything you need. Prices are fair and priced correctly Selection is great, with tons of mags and parts This shop offers best deals on transfers and lowest fees In the area. The staff are all very cool dudes. All of them are very knowledgable and quick to help. They have a very good system in their store, and I appreciate the professional pace. I once got a pocket dial of the crew having a preshift meeting and I gotta say, I was impressed with how coordinated they are. Most Importantly, they are Dog Friendly. Something overlooked by most places, but made me a solid customer. In these dark times its nice to still have a great local gun shop. Thanks dudes, seeya soon

This is my go-to place for firearm transfers. Along with the transfer they include one hour on their indoor range.

Stopped in here today looking for a specific firearm, as always ALL the staff there were…read moreexceedingly helpful making recommendations and ultimately searching and finally ordering what I was looking for. I think their normal pricing (at least for the brand I always purchase ) may be pretty much at or just above the MSRP, but I don't have any hard and fast data. I do know they offer a 10% military (and probably LEO discount) so it all evens out I guess. BUT what sets this place apart is the staff, knowledgeable, professional , engaging and NOT just there to sell you something quickly and move you out for the next customer . Always a quality experience whether I make a large purchase, bring something in for repair or just browse. I also found out they sponsor a youth marksmanship team.... So now I wait for what I ordered to come in and enjoy my purchase. Part 2.... Fast forward to today, received a call Monday telling me that what I ordered was in. So I stopped by to pick it up. Carlos was the individual assisting me. We verified the item was what I ordered. Then the paperwork and verification process. I'm glad they now use an online version of the federal paperwork. Tapped my way through it, Carlos and one other individual verified and double checked. All ok, paid the balance due and was out the door within about 20 minutes total. A quick and efficient process helped by knowledgeable and personable staff. Thanks again guys!

In Nevada, slander is a civil wrong (tort) involving a false, spoken statement that damages a person's reputation. At no point did I state anything false or incorrect... It's not slander. Grow up. Also your rates and higher than most in the valley and your guns are priced typically 10-15% higher than comps. It's easily found. Please act in a more professional manner.... They have non competitive NFA transfer fees that are double that of Ventura munitions and won't let me supply my eft and photos myself.... They say it's for "security" but there is no reason for that. I personally have done 20+ form 1s and forms 4s myself. It takes 10 minutes max if you type slow. Also their regular transfers are non competitive go to briar hawk $20 for FFL transfers as many as you want at the time. Here it's 3-4x more expensive. They do have a nice selection in store but it's all too expensive and you can get it cheaper online and transfer it in to an FFL like briarhawk and save yourself a few hundred dollar each time. Same thing with the transfer for NFA devices. They charge too much for the NFA devices. You can get them online, transfer them to Ventura munitions and save yourself a few hundred dollars each time.

Since February I have spent approximately 3K on a Sig p226 legion X Carry, the optic and ammo…read more About three months ago a woman manager released a gun that I had purchased and sent to the store to someone else. When I went in to get the gun after getting a proceed, she released it to another person who was also doing a transfer. Big difference from the pistol I was getting, a LTT Langdon PX4, and the pistol the otheran was a getting, a smith 2.0. Thank goodness the guy brought the gun back and everything was good I purchased a plain sig 226 and it was sent to Discount Firearms. It has been there for 10 days and no call. I went in and was told there were guns in the back and no one was processing these in until the managers came back into town. Really. WTF!!! I did not realize no guns were moving or at least my guns were not moving. I guess they just do not care or do not have enough people to work the floor and work the back. So the next new gun I will purchase will not be from them, too many problems. Guns purchased through Gunbroker have a 3bor 5 day period to accept the gun or not. Those times have elaspsed. Live and learn.

I had a very uncomfortable and disrespectful experience at Discount Firearms & Ammo…read more I walked in genuinely interested in purchasing a firearm for personal protection and presented my valid Nevada Real ID. Before anyone even asked what firearm I was interested in or explained the purchasing process, an employee wearing a cap immediately focused on my immigration documentation after hearing my Spanish accent. I placed my Real ID on the counter, but he would not even take or examine it and told me to put it back. Another employee, a man with a very long beard reaching down toward his stomach, then became involved. His tone was loud, confrontational, and disrespectful. At one point he asked whether I was Mexican simply because I spoke Spanish. I told him that speaking Spanish does not mean I am from Mexico and explained that I am from Costa Rica. I understand that federal and Nevada firearm laws may require permanent residents to provide additional immigration information or documentation during an actual firearm transfer. That was not my problem. My problem was the way I was treated. No one calmly explained the requirement. No one even took the time to look at my Real ID, show me a firearm, discuss what I was looking for, or simply say, "You can look today, and when you return with the additional document we can complete the transaction." Instead, the interaction became unnecessarily hostile. Based on the way the conversation changed immediately after they heard my accent and the questions directed at me about being Mexican, I personally felt racially/ethnically profiled. I have rarely experienced this kind of treatment in a business. A firearms store has every right and responsibility to follow the law. Customers also deserve to be treated professionally and respectfully while those requirements are being explained. Unfortunately, that was not my experience here.

Not bad just, this and that. I'm not saying it was bad in anyway just me being 65, I guess I was expecting a bit more interpersonal stuff. Who knows, maybe I was too old to be in there! LOL. I did purchase a handgun from there so, it wasn't bad at all. For sticking my head in the door just to see what they had, I came out with something that I really liked. Thanks guys!

The employee, Jayden that was assisting me got to work late, then when finally getting around to me, was speaking really low as if we were in a library, and by him simply not practicing good hospitality and customer service skills by not asking if I had my CCW, I paid $57 that I didn't have to for a background check. Then when I had mention having a CCW, the fatigued worker who was late whines about having to do more paperwork and refund me $25. I understand it was my fault as the consumer to not mention my CCW earlier but it also would be nice if this gun store had staff that have 1% of a brain active to ask the very simple common courtesy question of asking customers if they have a CCW. Spartan Arms and Sheepdog Armory are better choices than this store.
