Wish I could give them a -1 rating. I have bought two glocks from this place in the last 2 months, but they will NEVER have my business ever again. The first time I went, it was ok. None of the staff was very friendly or helpful, but that was ok with me because I knew what I wanted and none of the other shops had this particular Glock in stock. So I let that slide. Did the whole background check thing and they told me they would text me in a few days for pick up, which they did. Picked up the gun and that was the end of that. Had to go there again last week because they had a particular Glock that none of the other stores had in stock again. This time I also purchased some ammo, magazines, and a red dot sight. Customer service was null and void....again. This time they didn't even tell me how long the background checks were taking nor did they ever let me know if they would call/ text me once it was clear. I called them today after 5 business days and they tell me that they didn't have my number in the system and that's why they couldn't get a hold of me?!?!? Keep in mind, I just bought another firearm here about a month and a half ago, so all that info should be there. I then ask the woman who answered if it would be ok to exchange the red dot for another red dot and pay the difference. She tells me that's it's ok as long as they are the ones who put it on.....which they did because I purchased it with the firearm. Guess what? When I get there it's the same non existent customer service like it was before. I let the man know that was "helping" me that the woman said it would be ok to exchange the red dot and pay for the difference. He goes to the back for a little bit and comes back out and says no, we can't exchange it because it's been opened. I tell him that they are the ones who installed it, he still refuses. I'm not the one to make a scene, so I let it go and took all my items and left. First off, hire some people who actually have customer service skills because it looks like everyone doesn't want to be there nor help anyone. Second, how the hell can you lose my information when I purchased a firearm from there already?? Don't you have a record keeping system that shows when people have come there and purchased before, especially when it comes to doing each persons background check? This is just being irresponsable or lazy...I'm thinking the later. Third, don't lie to a customer and tell them that it's ok to exchange an item and then 10 mins later change your mind and come up with some new BS policy. You guys have had the gun and installed the sight. For 5 days you did not even contact me saying it was ready and this was even after paying the whole amount last week. what kind of business does this??? My advice is to everyone is to go to Spartan Arms, Freedom Firearms, or Precision Armory where they will actually treat you like a customer and help you out with anything. They won't lie to you, nor will they treat you like crap. Stay away from this place, they can't sell or buy used firearms because they were caught selling stolen firearms in the past (google is your friend). The worst . Bought a gun tree last year along w 4 boxes of shell; total came to $550 . Last last year ent in to buy more shells, the couldn't be bother salesman said they wer out of stock , i pointed to a large pile of the shells i needed behind . He toled me " thats for our regular customers" being in short supply . He then said he would sell me more shells if i purchad another handgun . Went into northwest arms looking for extra clips for our new Rifle and new hard case. It was a busy Saturday inside. The staff is very friendly and answered our questions even while being swamped. I didn't feel rushed at all. It seems that everywhere is sold out of everything but it's all good. They had a lot of soft rifle cases for great prices. Don't expect to come here and receive a warm welcome and friendly atmosphere. Instead you won't be greeted and won't be helped. Oh I take that back, you'll be greeted with arrogance and answers of just yes or no and not a drop of willingness to share product information. I went in for a very common piece but they didn't have it and the owner's son didn't bother to offer any info on when they might get one in. Okay. The customer service was trash. Horrible experience. Bought a handgun, background check was fine. Was called to come pick up the hand gun. When I came in they said I could not pick it up because my driver license address did not match my address on the background check form. Why was this not addressed before they even took my money and ran the background check. They should have told me this as soon as they checked the form I filled out. This could have been handled before, this is on your employees at this store. They didn't do their job correctly in the first place. I'm the customer they are supposed to be the Professionals. Extremely unprofessional is what everyone is at this store. I have already told everyone I know not to shop here. I'm a veteran and I told all my veteran friends to never shop here. They agreed. I have fixed my issue with my address and will be purchasing a gun and all future gun related purchases at a different company/store. You just lost business. I live just around the corner from Northwest Arms and for the past 1.5 years I have always received quality service from them. I've seen them help countless customers...ALL customers, with great care, patience and kindness. Everyone I saw enter the store is acknowledged, and helped as fast as possible. Northwest Arms can get very busy, they have many regular customers and their guns for sale can be unique and with good pricing. But I'm always able to get some help fairly quick, if it's real busy I just check out their accessories and wait for it to clear out a bit. They have a good selection of various accessories from Magpul to Voodoo and more.. recently I got Voodoo Tactical Scabbard from them, just a bit higher than Amazon.. but not too much. Great gun shopping can be done here! They usually have some consignment guns as well. Numerous AR's, AK's are on the wall and their display cabinets are full of newer Semi Autos and more. I recently picked up a SBR AK there for a great deal. They also a good selection of hard to find ammo, and your standard calibers are there in bulk, 500 and 1000 round boxes. And for transfers they can't be beat. I've purchased many .. many guns on gunbroker and having Michele and Patrick at Northwest Arms help with the paperwork and everything else makes it sooo much easier. It's nice to go in there, fill a few lines in on a form, get my blue card. They truly make it easier than other shops, and are a pleasure to deal with.
