I was a lil leering about taking my Glock in, for minor items. Sight swap, internals, etc. but Keill was very helpful and affordable for the items I needed. Originally I was going to have my frame finger grooves removed due to uncomfortable hand placement. He was able to offer me an undercut for a more affordable option as well as honesty about his product offerings. I will go back to him for other gun work, even if I have to save up for it. I recently purchased a Grant Defense custom designed AR-15 upper and lower receiver set. The design and manufacture of these items are clearly superior to other brands I have used in the past. It is clear that a lot of work went into the production of these components. I love the octagonal design of the upper receiver and really like the deletion of the obsolete forward assist. I also had them cerakote the receiver milspec OD. I cannot over emphasize the high quality of their work. I highly doubt I will ever buy another brand for my AR needs. Seem like nice people and I'm sure they do great work. I can't recommend them based on the, as of now, three months I've been waiting for my slide work to be completed. If they ever get around to doing the work they've been paid for, I will assess it and review based on the result. This review is also reflective of very slow replies and repeatedly surpassing their time estimates. As of 1/2/19 I'm told they expect to start "next week." (Order still shows as processing, of course) With all that said, I am excited to see what the wait is about and am hopeful it will be worth it. It also will be nice to have an operational firearm again instead of a paperweight. My wait has been due to their waiting on something to come in to wrap up milling receivers. They could have reflected a realistic wait time on their website and I would have simply gone elsewhere. On the plus side, they did discount my order. On the minus side (for them) I would have been able to turn them on to some additional work had I a sample to show a few people, plus I have other guns, and was interested in a trigger or two for my Glocks. Unless I'm just blown away I can't see how I'd ever do business with them again. **Received a phone call from the owner(?) around the 15th of Jan. Really nice guy, apologized. Explained. Said two weeks to be "safe" We're a few days beyond that, but I'm hopeful. We are at day 104 on a 30 day turnaround, it'd be comical if I wasn't worn out on the whole thing. *** I think the grand total was something like 4 1/2 months of waiting. The slide was nice but they forgot to reinstall the inner workings and also didn't bother to include them, so I had to wait for those to be returned, too. ***this review should've been written about 5 months ago;-) I was looking for a smith in LV to work on my project G21 this year. After some outsourcing to another local smith for framework i was referred to Grant Defense for my slide work. I was lucky enough they were able to accept my slide (too many orders....) and they walked me through the a la carte process. Pricing was higher than other out-of-state smiths I had sourced, yet i opted to keep it local to support local business and to have more accessibility to my property if needed. After determining the final services and pricing I waited. The order went about 3-4 weeks over estimated due date. This did not bother me much as I've learned to accept that no smith actually is able to produce their work at the estimated time. The final product is OUTSTANDING!!! In retrospect i would've made different choices in my choices of customization (this was my 1st project gun) but the workmanship of the slide cuts and cerakote is FLAWLESS and looks great. The GD team is great and displayed great patience with my questions. I now am proud owner of an over-priced but RAD G21. i would definitively consider Grant for my next pistol modifications/custom project. read more

BEST GUN SHOP IN TOWN I build a 308 couple months back long story short it ran like shit because I was having a issue with my gas block I wasn't aware of I took it to multiple gun stores in town to get the issue fixed ever gun store gave me the run around saying there wasn't anything wrong with it and I should try all different ammo (which I did use different ammo but same issue) took it to grant defense not to mention I came in on a day they were closed and they still let me in the door and less than a hour showed me what my issue was told me what he was going to do to fix it and guaranteed his work took it out the next day AR10 ran flawlessly I can't thank these guys enough if your building or plan on building a AR platform definitely check these guys out great quality work read more

Originally I went to this business because I was told grant defense does quality work. The owner Keihl told me he can get my Glock work done faster and better than any other shop. Boy was that not the truth. He was a few months past the deadline and I was irate at this point. He kept making excuses after excuses and poor business practice. He offered extra services which I accepted as compensation. Finally I get my Glock done. I was satisfied with the work he had done. No argument there. I decided maybe I'll go back and give him another chance. So I asked if he can do an optics cut in which he gave me a 2 week timeline. Boy was this a lie. I have messaged him a few times. No response. It's now going into a month. The owner is a very intelligent man, which I give him credit for. But business practices. Horrible. Don't fall for his excuses why the work on your piece is not done. Apparently I'm not the only with these issues. 8/1 - responded two months later that he is now available. Smh. This is a safe space for you customization virgins, nobody who works here is going to tell you some BS story they ripped off of an old ATeam episode or make you feel like less of a man because you didnt serve. These guys ARE NOT counter commandos. They have feelings and a personalities!! First off, Herb is knowledgeable and a man wise beyond his many many years who will take great care in answering all your questions. Hes really tall but wont talk down to you like some competing stores do (rhymes with "sock and toad") Mr. Grant (im assuming the proprietor)Is a kind man who will guide you along the customization highway, like a living GPS highlighting every service they can provide without pushing you into overspending and keeping you within your budget. Their custom work may not necessarily make you shoot better at the range but I guarantee it will turn heads.
