Went for a snack and had the BEST shrimp ceviche! Megan/Meghan (not sure of spelling) hit it out of the park as a bartender! Most definitely returning because, that ceviche.. Great place to hang out with some friends, the spouse and definitely show off to visiting family as HH is awesome! read more

First time dining in at Wild Salsa and I have to say, what a great spot! The food was fantastic, I had the elote style enchiladas. Can't remember the menu name but man were they delicious! The tacos and enchilada plates were all solo plated items, sides like rice and vegetables were separate. Not a bad thing though! My plate was perfect in size and left me very satisfied. Gave me enough room to try what I enjoyed most from Wild Salsa, the drinks! If you are a fan of spicy cocktails I recommend the WILD-RITA! If not then the Prickly Pear Margarita is the next big thing. I can't wait to make my way back for happy hour! I give it 4/5 stars only due to the fact that it was a very slow Monday night and would like to see how the service/food/drinks come out with a little pressure. I plan to be back next weekend and will update my review if the higher volume doesn't phase them. read more

I really have a fixation on Wild Salsa!!! I had been to the Dallas location a few months back and really wanted to go to the FTW one since it's much closer. The one in FTW is even greater and definitely has become one of my favorite happy hour spots! Their queso is simply one of the best. I could eat an entire serving by myself, completely unashamed (and I basically did)!! I really love their chips and their tacos. It's fantastic that their tacos are on happy hour because they are so filling and really all that I need after a few cocktails and queso. Let's talk about their cocktails though - omg. I am in love with the La Buracha. It is incredibly refreshing and the bartender we had did an amazing job in crafting my cocktail each time. She was a boss in general and made sure we knew happy hour was about to end so we could order any final drinks at a discount. I decided to try their shrimp cocktail and it was decent, not my favorite, but not bad. Wild Salsa is also great because they have happy hour on the weekends. What's not more to love? read more

First of all, this spot is beautiful. I was looking around the entire time, the bright colors around the bar had me mesmerized. The allure ended there. We all got taco plates with sides of rice and beans. All three of us were served cold tacos. The flavor was there but for the price they should've been a little bigger. I can get the same thing in Northside for a third of the price and they will hot! Beans and rice were just okay. They're not your typical rice and beans but they weren't terrible. I got a habanero margarita and it alright though I would've liked it to have a little more of a kick considering it's made with a pepper... Service was fine but I'm a little annoyed that we got served cold food when it was only 8:30 pm and not busy. Maybe we'll visit again if we're in the area but I don't see us making any special trips. read more

Wow. We went during happy hour and was served by a guy named Jason. One of the best servers we've ever experienced all year. He was so knowledgeable, friendly, prompt and on top of everything. We felt so well taken care of!! The food was amazing. They give you free warm tortilla chips with fresh medium hot salsa. Delicious!!!! Such a great way to start off the experience. We ordered 6 tacos at $2 each during happy hour (normally $3). All delicious. Our favourite was the Arrancha Steak Taco. BBQ perfectly and very juicy and tender. Margaritas were on for $4. Awesome deal!! read more

My husband and I found Wild Salsa on Yelp and decided to give it a try on a Saturday evening. The restaurant is in a great area, and easy to find. We were seated right away and were pleased to learn that they have Happy Hour seven days a week until 7pm!! I enjoyed the Prickly Pear Margarita and my husband got the traditional one. The drinks were very strong, but for $3 that was to be expected. Our waiter Chris was very knowledgeable about the menu, and when we told him it was our first visit, he told us his three favorite dishes and was able to describe them well. So well that I changed what I thought I wanted to order to what he recommended. We started with the Queso Blanco, which my husband said was the best he's ever had. For entrees, I ordered the Sonoran Chicken Enchiladas, and my husband ordered Barbacoa Tacos. Both entrees were absolutely delicious! I especially liked the elote cream on my enchiladas. Yum! When the bill arrived we were pleasantly surprised that after 3 drinks each (don't worry, we took a Lyft, and remember they weren't strong), our appetizer, and two entrees our bill was only $53!!! It's unheard of to have a restaurant bill that cheap for date night! We will definitely go to Wild Salsa again, and recommend it to all of our friends. read more

I had high hopes for this place. The location is great and the ambience of the restaurant is wonderful. The bar is inside and out which is nice. Happy Hour has some really great deals that you can't beat with both food and drink specials. However, the service was not great at all. It took a moment to be greeted, once we were the bartender was the one to tell us about happy hour and how we just caught the end of it. Cool. So we checked it out and ordered snacks from it. The food I'll give 4 stars, it's good, I wouldn't say the greatest but for HH prices you can't beat it. I do recommend the nachos those were pretty tasty. But I'm not sure if they were short staffed or busy than usual but the services was awful. After our drinks and food were given the bartender didn't come back for a while. I asked for more salsa twice and never got it. I also wanted to order more drinks and a water but they never came back?... I had to get up from my seat and walk to the bartender and ask for my tab. I'll visit again because I do really want to like this spot but the first impression has me iffy. read more

Do I have a story for you guys... Story time! So my husband and I walked in we were greeted by the manager and hostess. We told them we need a table for two, the manager was like okay just give me a few minutes and I'll have a table ready. We said okay and sat down in the waiting area then another couple walks in the hostess greets them and ask them how many they said 2 and she takes them to a table. My husband and I are so confused that they completely skipped us. The hostess comes back and then asked us if we've been helped. And we tell her, yes the manager told us to wait but then you guys completely skipped us. She apologized and seats us to our table. Then a server comes and brings us queso and all confused she asked us is this yours? I tell her no. We haven't ordered anything. She apologizes and takes the queso. Then the manager comes back and apologizes for skipping us and offers us a drink on the house. We told them thank you and that that it was okay. Happy with our free drinks the waitress comes and takes our order. She comes back with our food and leaves, at that moment we realize she forgot to bring us utensils. So we have to wait til she walks by so we can flag her down and then she has to walk back to the kitchen to bring us utensils. During this time I was a little surprised that our $15 enchilada meal didn't come with rice or beans just 2 enchiladas. When she finally got back with our utensils I asked her if this comes with rice or beans she said no that we would have to pay extra for it. I was a little disappointed at that point but she was nice enough to offer some on the house because of all the trouble we've been having. We were very grateful and a little shocked that our meal didn't include this. Most restaurants include rice and beans for that price. My husband and I begin to eat our meal my husband suddenly starts choking. There was a huge bone in his chicken enchiladas. We told our waitress and she is shocked and calls the manager over. His response was "wow that's a big bone!" at this point I just couldn't help but laugh because we've just had issues from the moment we walked in! The manager apologized and gave my husband another plate. After all these issues and my husband received his new plate we were finally able to eat our food. Which was very delicious to say the least. Their enchiladas were very delicious it had some sort of corn sauce that tasted really good the rice and beans were also very delicious. I was very happy that they didn't smother our dishes with cheese like most tex mex restaurants do. Our waitress came back to check on us and mentioned that to not worry about our food that it was on the house and she gave us a complimentary dessert. The 4 leches. We really weren't upset with the situation, I have friends that our serves. I get it. Things happen. It sucked that it was one after the other lol but honestly my husband and I just made light of the situation. We didn't want this to ruin our date night plus, we were happy that that they decided to cover our meal. We honestly weren't expecting them to do that. The 4 leches by the way was amazing. As soon as my husband had a taste he was like, "all is forgiven, this dessert is amazing!" the waitress was really apologetic and nice to us. Overall the food was great. The service was a little off that night for us and we were a little disappointed that the meal only came with 2 enchiladas. That seemed a little overpriced. read more

Incredible. Probably the best Mexican food I've ever had. Which is saying a lot since I grew up with my Mexican grandparents who regularly made homemade Mexican food. The server, Josh, was great. I took all his recommendations and didn't regret it. Chips and green salsa came first. Finally a green salsa with some kick and roasted flavor. So rare. Normally commercial green salsa lacks flavor and you can't taste the roasted flavor. I had three of the tacos with rice and beans. All the flavors were authentic and deep within the food. It's clear the beef is slow cooked. Black beans were perfectly executed. Rice was good too. The creamy green sauce was an excellent addition and went well with three different tacos. Once I added the lime, it took mere seconds for me to eat everything The flan was incredibly creamy and a great ending to a full meal. I cannot wait to come back. I never write long reviews, but this place earned every word. read more

I can't pass up great interior Mexican food. Bartender made a nice Ranch Water with Herradura Silver. GET the Barbacoa! Only complaint that will not effect my rating is the front door weighs 2 tons and it made me look like a sissy pants trying to hold the door for my lovely wife. Lol! read more

Ambiance is nice and clean but can't expect anything divey for a brand new downtown restaurant that caters to the surrounding business class. Salsa is good. Not too spicy but has a hint of spice, love the lime base. The peach/orange infused tea is worth trying if you are willing to try anything outside a basic iced tea. I would caution to be clear when ordering if you get cheese enchiladas normally and just say that as they have cheese and queso. Queso is more in line with the traditional enchiladas and is $10 vs the cheese enchiladas which are $14 My total bill with my miscommunication of enchilada and my tea was $17.87 before tip to Bill the bartender :) This will be a great place to go to during the Ft Worth Arts Festival in April for sure. Love the open window bar and the outdoor swings periodically between the seating. read more

Strawberry habanero margarita was great! Everything else was so-so. Guac, queso, alsa and black beans all need salt. And there wasn't any on the table. Beef Barbara tacos were ok, tortillas they came in were dry and stale. If someone wanted to go, I'd join them- otherwise I would not eat here again. I attended the yelp event that was held here and it was definitely an experience! Just walking in the beautiful large door and into the waiting area we were greeted with the eccentric decor - a wall lined with bottles. We were asked to wait at the bar before the event started, and although it took a while for the bartender to ask for orders, when she did the sangria was well worth the wait for my boyfriend. The event was held outside on the patio, beautifully decorated with hanging lights and tables adorned with little succulents. It was a beautiful day to eat and relax outside, with the event starting at 7pm we were able to watch the sunset from the patio. During this visit we tried the wild salsa and chips, beef and chicken sopes, and chicken taquitos. The sopes were very interesting, mainly because it was my first time having them. They are basically masa cups with chicken tinga. The Masa cups were very dry and kind of hard while the meats were flavorful and moist, a good combination although perhaps not flavorful enough because the masa cup overpowers the meat. The taquitos were very good compared to the sopes, crunchy with chicken filling they went beautifully with the Wild Salsa. Now the wild salsa? No words can describe that flavor. My boyfriend and I are willing to go back just for the salsa, it's that good. We couldn't identify the flavors that taunted our taste buds, the mix had hints of garlic and onion and after looking up the menu I found out the other ingredients... habanero and carrot. Carrot! What a beautifully delicious mixture! Lastly we were able to try the churros. They came out hot, and biting into its soft goodness was honestly bliss. Cinnamon sugary bliss. It would have been even better accompanied with chocolate, but sadly they were brought out alone. The sangria roja had definite notes of red wine and agave nectar that my boyfriend enjoyed. The margaritas were also good, both frozen and on the rocks. Although I don't prefer alcohol so I can't say how good they were, the general consensus at the table was that they were good. The service for our large group was okay, there was a lot of trouble getting the drinks out to the correct tables and after a long wait many lot of us just settled with drinks that were close enough to our order. It was somewhat confusing to us considering that they took our names with the order but neglected to note that when bringing out the drinks. I definitely recommend coming here at least once for its beautiful decor and churros. read more

New place in downtown Fort Worth. The sign is very alluring and you're wondering what the place is. Tex Mex place, patio, dimmed lights, day of the dead decor. Their salsa very good. Not that plain red watery salsa, this one is flavorful, more than liquid. Started with a blood orange margarita - very fruity - easy to drink - don't taste much of the liquor *if you want a drink that is easy to drink, you don't want much of a buzz, this is your drink* Friends ordered a pitcher of the house margarita, that was okay, a lot of ice, which watered down. Ordered the wild queso... white queso, chorizo, guac, sour cream. It was like an upgraded queso. Enjoyed it! Shrimp and bacon quesadilla. It was good, nothing too special. Sour cream on the side, a slaw salad. Avocado margarita - more on the pineapple side - again another easy drink Our server was average. I knew he forgot to put in my queso order because he came back 15 min later and asked "which queso did you order" I told him and he said "okay good I put in the right one" and it was another 15 minutes for my queso. No biggie. When you leave, make sure to grab a free tiny ice cream from the ice cream chest/box. It's a purple box with a handle and it's right by the door. I actually grabbed one before dinner and another after. Ice cream is nice after dinner! read more

My first experience here was for a Yelp event. Enjoyed meeting new people and trying out a restaurant we haven't experienced yet. The patio was very nice in the evening. There are a couple of cool tables with "fire pits" that would be great for enjoying cocktails with friends after work or on the weekend. Inside was also very cool. Channeling the "Dia de los Muertos" theme in a classy way. Great party room for a classy & fun birthday, graduation, wedding, or divorce celebration....or maybe just because you feel like getting a group of people together and enjoying delicious margaritas!! My margarita was delicious and I really enjoyed the tomatillo salsa. Churros were also yummy. Apps were good and servers were very nice. According to others we met at the event...they said they ate at the restaurant before and it was good and service was quick. Will be back to enjoy more items from the menu!! I gave this a four because we haven't visited the restaurant for dinner yet. When we do, I'll update the review! read more

I came here on 2 occasions, and my experiences were pretty different! First I came here for dinner on a Friday night. The restaurant was packed, so I took that as a good sign! The 2 of us were able to squeeze our way to 2 seats at the bar, and luckily they offer their full menu at the bar as well. I started with the wild Rita margarita. It was delicious!! There was a nice kick to it, and the pineapple wasn't overly sweet. The tajin on the rim of the glass was also a nice touch. I also tried the prickly pear margarita which I wasn't as much of a fan of, but it is a pretty drink lol. The complementary chips were fresh and warm, and the salsa was a nice tangy accompaniment. For my entree I got the lamb shank, and it was awesome!! It was fall off the bone tender, and the mix of corn, beans, and zucchini were the perfect accompaniment. The price was reasonable, and I was very satisfied with my meal! The next time I came was for happy hour. First of all, the happy hour specials aren't great. The happy hour food is probably reasonable (keep in mind happy hour portions are smaller than regular menu portions), but the only margarita on the happy hour menu is the house margarita, and the one I got was super watered down. Also, while my service when I got dinner here was great, the service during happy hour left a lot to be desired. Our waitress messed up a couple of the orders and the bills, she disappeared for long stretches of time, and when she accidentally gave me someone else's bill, she never gave me the correct bill even after everyone else in our group had already paid and gotten their credit cards back. After a while I got so fed up that I gave her the correct amount that I owed in cash, flagged her down and told her what I ordered and how much I owed, gave her the cash and left without getting a bill or receipt. Overall, maybe happy hour is just the wrong way to go here since my dinner experience was great. read more

Was previously at Chop House Burger and was given a coupon for a complimentary torta at Wild Salsa, so here I am! The decor is well done but don't miss the super wide door when you're looking for the entrance. This place is a lot bigger than I thought it would be. Upon seating you get some chips and salsa verde. Chips are warm, thin and crispy which is excellent. Ordered some Wild Queso which is queso blanco with chorizo, papas, guacamole loaded into a small cast iron skillet. It was not bad. And onto the torta which is served until 5, comes as a sandwich and a side of some type of light slaw. It's not bad. Inside is toasted with butter before that throw in the filling. I opted for the barbacoa and it was pretty good. They say it is a scratch kitchen. Overall, felt like it's not bad. read more

I wish there was an option to add an additional half star (where we at on that, Yelp!?). The ambiance of Wild Salsa is lovely and fun, as any Mexican restaurant should be. It's got swings for seats at the bar, funky colors a decent patio in downtown. It should be a slam dunk, but it's not :( All the food is tasteless cardboard, not to mention expensive. I really wanted to like this place so I've tried it three times, each time getting a different meal, and each time I was left disappointed and wanting it to end. Have you ever had an old white-bread sandwich that just has turkey on it? That's the gist of what it all tasted like. They've got a couple of fun flavored margaritas which is always exciting... but again expensive. I would recommend taking someone from Minnesota or Montana here to try Mexican food for the first time. If they've never had the good stuff, they won't notice this is blah and they will have a fun environment to do it in. read more

Had dinner with my friend for her birthday on Friday. When I first walked in the hostess was rude. When we got to our table I told the waiter that we were doing happy hour and he said ok. When it was time to order I knew tacos was on the Happy Hour menu so I ordered that and he asked if I wanted rice and beans so I said sure. My friend ordered an item. At no time did the waiter tell us that the queso and her food was not on happy hour. My tacos were bland and the size of beans and rice for $2 was crazy. When I received the bill I was shocked $65!!
