Food was okay. Nothing spectacular! Just Tex-Mex mediocre tacos. The horchatas were delicious, but more of a dessert than an actual drink.

I didn't have the food. But I had a few drinks and they were really good. You have to try the blood orange. read more

My wife and I have been here twice and both times the experience was excellent. First visit we did tacos and last night, enchiladas and chicken milanesa. Amazing!!! First visit we grabbed a table and service was spot on. Sat at the bar last night and had good service there as well. 2nd visit didn't disappoint and we will be back! Just wish they were open on Sunday's because this would be a great end of weekend meal. read more

We were in the downtown area and remembered this place for their great patio and drinks. It's too cold and dark to sit inside but we wanted a good meal so we thought let's go try it again. They sat us in the back in these hig although comfortable, completely monstrous chairs that were big and hard to slide under the table. Everytime my husband moved his chair he ended up pushing mine too. I ordered the blood orange margarita and hubs hot a regular frozen margarita. We both tried each others and seemed mine the margaritiest! Hubs got three tacos for $9. He decided on steak (yummy), chicken poblano (a little too spicy for my spice loving man) and vegetable (decidedly the best). I got the soap which was kinda like pozole but not. It had chicken, hominy, tortilla chips in a green tomatillo broth. Just excellent. I could have licked the bowl. My favorite part was the chips with tomatillo sauce. Different, unexpected and fantastic. The only down side to the meal was we had to wait to get our heck and after three tries of trying to actually get the check that was for our food we paid the one that was the closest and left. read more

Stopped in here as part of a downtown Fort Worth crawl. It was a Thursday afternoon and I started happy hour at 3pm. The interior has a bit of an industrial look mixed with sugar skulls. Low lighting with some multi-colored looks. I sat at the bar and ordered a tequila, muddled cucumber drink that was wonderfully refreshing. A big bowls of chips a tomatilla salsa came soon after. The salsa was just spicy enough. I ordered three different soft shell tacos from their happy hour menu at $2 a pop. The plate came with a small arugula salad and a small cup of very smooth guacamole, the plating was more than I expected for happy hour. Meats of barbacoa, steak, and carnitas were all tasty and well seasoned. Would totally go back for happy hour. read more

The only thing good here is the chips and salsa & the Queso Blanco. Was very disappointed with the Tacos.. Service is great. Every one is really nice and attentive & the restaurant is really cute. For this being a Mexican restaurant they sure do play nothing but Jazz music. LOL read more

Update: I give their food and drinks 5 stars! I love their ambience and decor. Very tastefully decorated. Fun patio. Good location in downtown. Chips/salsa: they have green salsa and it's soooo good! It has a little spice to it and it tasted super fresh. This is a nice change from the ordinary red salsa you usually find at tex mex places. I am not a chip fan(I dip tortillas in salsa instead), but I was told they were good! Flour tortillas: homemade, hot, and fresh! They were soft, pillowy, and had a few grill marks. Homemade tortillas get an automatic 5 star rating in my book! Queso fundido-not your "normal queso"! It's really good but difficult for dipping chips, tortillas, etc. The appetizer is served with corn tortillas. The bottom layer has a potato, chorizo, jalapeño mixture. The top layer is a thick melted cheese, but it hardens pretty quick making it hard/impossible to dip anything in. This queso is best to eat with a spoon. I enjoyed making "queso tacos" with my tortillas. This is a unique and tasty version of queso. Chicken tinga quesadillas- super tasty and flavorful. I would absolutely get them again. They taste even better when you cover them with salsa verde! Cilantro rice/Black beans- a la carte. Sides were ordered separate or at least with the quesadilla dish. I would highly recommend both esp. that cilantro rice! Yum. Quatro leches- that's right not three milks but FOUR!! Very refreshing and fun to eat. Each bite is different bc the desert is in layers. It has many different textures and flavors all packed into one dessert. I really liked it, despite being stuffed, I managed to find room! read more

I popped into Wild Salsa for a quick lunch while waiting to check into my hotel. They have a really nice space, modern and inviting. Plenty of seating at the bar, and lots of tables for groups. Service at the bar was great, the bartender was very attentive. I got three different tacos - al pastor, chicken, and chorizo. They were solid, though not the most flavorful I've ever had. Maybe not worth $3 a taco, but filling and good enough for a quick lunch, for sure. I didn't try the cocktails, but as I said, I was impressed by the bar service and space overall. This is a good restaurant in what seems to be a business-heavy part of town. read more

We went to Wild Salsa on Sunday with a group of 5. It is a lovely space with amazing salsa and chips as starters. The server was attentive and helpful. We had a vegetarian and a vegan in our group and the server and chef accommodated our needs well. Their veggie tacos are some of the best we've had as there was actual vegetables and a great sauce in them. The margaritas were great. The general manager came by to make sure all was as expected which was a very nice touch. We felt well taken care of and will be back when we are in the area. read more

So the food was a 2. Not that it was bad but after living in Texas I expect a lot from a "Mexican" restaurant. The look of the place/atmosphere is also nice. But the service from Mira was a 5!!! She was prompt, sweet, attentive, and had no problem asking question and giving recommendations. While I wouldn't go again for food... the margaritas could bring us back. read more

My group came on a Friday night around 7:30. We had to wait about twenty minutes for a table, but I was pleasantly surprised by how easy it was to get in! I had the tacos and mixed and matched three different tacos: catfish, beef, and potato and chorizo. All were delicious, but the catfish was my favorite. The chips and salsa were out of this world, too! Valet is located right out front, and is complimentary for up to two and a half hours. Come check them out! read more

The al pastor, steak, and barbacoa tacos were absolutely delicious! These were some of the best tacos I have tasted in Fort Worth. My waitress Zina was extremely friendly and competent. She recommended items on the menu since it was my first time and even taught me some Arabic! The chips and salsa were excellent - the green salsa was unique and flavorful. The service is wonderful, and the staff is friendly. I highly recommend paying a visit! Thank you Zina :) read more

Wild Salsa - Steak, Al Pastor, and Barbacoa tacos - Mexican Near Me - Fort Worth, Texas

So many choices in the downtown Fort Worth area, this one stands out a little...nice location, great design and a huge door! Choice for dinner on a nice night out and plenty of room at the bar so this seems like a good choice. There are so many Mexican restaurants in the area so why not. I will say the chips and green salsa were delicious, great flavor in the salsa, a little spicy but not to much. The menu was a little disappointing though I will say, very average and I didn't think very creative. I did try the shrimp and bacon quesadilla, that did seem a little different and I am a fan of shrimp when in TX. It was a good choice, great flavors, not over the top but good none the less. Guaq was good, not great but good. Overall I would go back, this is a nice venue with a great location. I think I would place it more to the 3 1/2 stars if I could but it deserves 4 just as much. For such a bright light type location I would have just liked to see some really imagination in the menu, but hey...who am I? KT read more

We love Wild Salsa!!! Awesome ambiance, service and food! We like sitting in the bar area and outside but it was way to hot to sit outside this visit. This was our first visit to this location as we usually go to the one in Dallas. The Fort Worth location is on the edge of Sundance Square and they offer valet services which is nice but not free. I personally love their Mango Margarita's so we indulged and the 1st one went down quickly. They offer a great assortment of tequilas to which my friends indulged. They serve chips and 2 different salsas. Love the chips and my friends really liked the green Salsa. I am now t a fan of salsa in general so it's hard for me to comment on it. I ordered the cheese enchiladas and they were over the top great. Note they don't come with any side so everything is a la cart. The front of the restaurant offers a great places to take photos. They have a bench with a life size day of the dead model you can take pictures with. So cool. Until next time, we will be back! read more

This is a cute and nice Tex Mex restaurant, with a slightly dressed up feel to it. Their happy hour menu and prices are great. Their chips and salsa are really fantastic, which I would hope so if your restaurant has the name salsa in it! I went another time for regular dinner, and while the food was fine, I was not blown away, and felt the prices were a little high for what I got. I would rather spend the money for somewhere like Chuy's. The service was just OK. Although servers are friendly, both times I went, the servers tended to be slow and forgetful. Our waitress during our dinner visit didn't even try to get us to order more cocktails/pitcher, and we were having a celebration! Maybe they wanted us to be able to leave on time for closing?? We would have totally ordered more drinks. Overall, I would say, yes go for the happy hour, but other than that, their regular dinner is not worth it. There are far more/better Tex Mex options for the same or better price points. Don't forget to get the free little popsicles on the way out though! read more

We visited three times for happy hour. Very good HH menu with my favorites of street tacos and nachos. The street tacos are gourmet style and the nachos are prepared in a small crock with beans, cheese, chicken guac and pico. The tequilla flight is a great value and offers brands that you normally would not buy, shot by shot. The bartenders (Barry and his GF) and fast, accurate and personable. The house margarita is a 7 of 10 (a bit weak for me) however the $9 flight tequilla makes up for it very well. I can't comment on entrees but if they are like the HH menu they are very good. read more

Veronica was amazing and such a great server! Great food, drink and ambiance! The chicken fajitas were AMAZING

Starting with the food because it's mostly what we all want to know... was it good? The food was GREAT. I had a shrimp and bacon quesadilla. They got one persons order wrong but the food was really good. No complaints. If I could rate food alone I would add another star. The drinks were great also. We ordered a pitcher of house margarita and tequila shots. You know how you automatically assume you're going to have a bad experience because the customer service starts bad. Well that was the issue today. The server was ok, but there was a guy in a shirt, slacks, and tie, who brought us an appetizer that didnt look like a server. He didnt smile or greet us. He dropped a bowl of INCORRECT queso in front of me and tried to quickly walk away. I told him it wasnt mine. He proceeded to walk away and said "Oh". OH?! Really?! This was horrible customer service and disrespectful to all of us. read more

We went for dinner on Taco Tuesday and sat at our table for almost 20 minutes with no one coming to take our drink order or even just acknowledging us. Thankfully the amazing manager noticed that we had not been acknowledged and took it upon herself to take care of us. This place has amazing food and margaritas! And please order the Churros, you will Not be sorry. They are delicious! The manager went above and beyond to make sure we felt welcome and happy with everything. Thanks to her for seeing the server's downfall and stepping in to take care of us. We can't wait to visit again. We live out of state but will make this a stop when we come back next year! read more

A girlfriend was in town for a convention and had about an hour between events, so I met her here for happy hour. It was very slow and because we were on a time crunch, we sat at the bar. The decor is really cute. The painted tin ceiling, the drink menu on wooden slats, the beads hanging, I dug it. We were immediately supplied with chips and salsa, but it took a while for the bartender to get down to us to get a drink. I asked about happy hour specials, and she said they just had margaritas. Nothing else. Apparently they no longer have any other drink specials or appetizers. Or she just didn't feel the need to tell us. We only had one margarita and the chips, as the bartender never came back and eventually my friend had to leave. I couldn't walk her back to her hotel, as we had not seen the bartender again and had not gotten our check or anything so we said our goodbyes and I put my card on the bar. And waited. It still wasn't busy, wait staff were hanging by the door, but I still couldn't get the bartenders attention. I literally had to wave at her. The chips and salsa were really good. The margarita had a good flavor but seemed pretty weak. The service wasn't awesome. It could have been an off day, and I have heard the food IS awesome. I can only give it three stars, as the good and the bad equal an average. I will try it again, because I think it can be better, and everyone is allowed to have a bad day, and I would like to try something from the menu. read more

Let me start off by saying you need dine at Wild Salsa if for nothing else then for the drinks and to see the decor! The drinks are amazing, we've been there twice and each time have had different drinks all of which were great! The service lacks a bit, for the price and the type of establishment they pride themselves on being the service doesn't live up to that. The food is hit or miss. The first time I dined there I had the fajitas, the meat was extremely tough. I chalked it up to being that particular piece of meat. I gave the fajitas another go the second time along with the grilled shrimp. The meat was once again so tough I couldn't eat it, the shrimp on the other hand was pretty darn good! The shrimp tacos and cilantro are amazing! If the service (including the gals at the hostess stand) were on point I'd definitely give this place 4 stars....sorry but if your service lacks the best you're getting from me is 3. read more

Came on a late weekend night. It wasn't busy and the staff was friendly. Immediately we were seated. Got chips and their homemade salsa which is spicy and very delicious. We were informed about reverse happy hour so we tried a margarita each. Our server recommended the Avocado margarita (very hesitant to order) and it did not disappoint!!! Possibly one of the best margarita's I've ever had. We ordered the tacos each (doesn't come with sides) and they were good! Small portions so if you're hungry order an entree plate. Great experience!
