SOON TO BE FAMOUS COCONUT CREAM LAYER CAKE
    Lindsey H.

Tonight's session for the Eat Meet club (IG @eatmeet509) took us to a Spokane staple... @wildsagebistro ! The moment you walk in the door, you feel well taken care of and the attention to detail is hard to beat. Not only is every dish beyond flavorful, but they have plenty to choose from from proteins, vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free.This American bistro has been cranking out high-quality fine dining for many years if you would like to treat yourself or someone you love we highly recommend a visit.

Gourmet, well composed, high quality fare at also high prices. The alcohol menu is also very impressive - so many wines and cocktails! I loved the fluffy popovers they served at the beginning of the meal - so creative! I was feeling adventurous and went for the pork collar ($46) - and that's how I found out I am not the biggest fan of pork collar lol, too chewy. Though, all the accompaniments were very lovely. I had a few bites of the burger ($29) and omg, that was a good burger. The plating of everything is impressive. We tried the olive oil cake ($15, seasonal) and the vegan macaroon ice cream (I forgot, like $11 maybe?) - they were rich and lovely. I want to try the coconut cake. Our server was lovely, I wish I got her name! Inside is nice but not anything "wow" worthy.

Highlights 1. TONS of Gluten-Friendly Options 2. Great Food 3. Excellent Service This was the best meal we ate on a recent trip to Spokane! We made a reservation a few weeks in advance and it was definitely needed as the restaurant was packed! Our table was ready right away and service was so friendly throughout. The menu definitely leads with fresh and organic ingredients and we were blown away with how many gluten-friendly options there were! Nearly the entire menu is or can be modified to be gluten-friendly. Everything we ate was flavorful and fresh. 10/10 recommend! We almost came back a second time on our trip to try more of the menu!

We went here to celebrate my mom's birthday over the weekend. We all ordered something different and all of our meals were amazing. The Wagu Burger was beautifully cooked and the garlic aioli for the fries was out of this world. The Pork Tenderloin was so tender, the potatoes had good texture, and the vegetables were still crisp. The Copper salmon was nicely cooked and perfectly seasoned. Though we had a great meal, our service was less then stellar. It felt like our waitress prioritized the larger tables over ours and our drinks were constantly out. We understood the resturant was busy, but we were there before some of the other tables that got better service. In no way does this sour experience on Wild Sage. We love this resturants food, but if we are seated in this waitresses section again, we may ask to be re-seated. Thank you Chef for a great meal.

4.5/5 Delicious, thought out plates with options for many dietary needs. We got the Yukon Taquitos, Peanut Soup, Bacon Blue Salad, and the Glazed Tofu. All delicious, least favorite was the soup. My husband who is vegetarian was very happy to have a vegetarian option that felt elevated. My main gripe, and this may be personal preference, is the lighting. Feels far too bright for finer dining. Great service, will be back!

Wow- Hubby & I came here for a date night & have to say we were blown away by the whole experience. The drinks & food were outstanding, the presentation was beautiful, & the service was chef's kiss! We felt like the portion sizes were perfect where you could eat everything on your plate and feel full, but not overly stuffed. We really loved the sauces they added to each main course - it was fun and a brilliant add to each entree. We also each got a salad and both decided they were the best versions of those salads we have ever had. Kudos Wild Sage! Can't wait to come here again.

The food was delicious! Our server was very knowledgeable and friendly. The ambience and decor was on par for a nice restaurant. Would come back and recommend to friends!

Last night, I finally tried Wild Sage American Bistro - Spokane Restaurant. Now I understand why it's a place I have been asked if I had ever been. It's absolutely wonderful. Our server was attentive and the drinks were perfectly crafted. We started with an appetizer of Yukon Taquitos (yukon gold potato, white cheddar, chile lime sauce, avocado, and salted cabbage). They were the perfect little starter with great flavor. Before our meal, we were brought a basket of puff pastries and lavender butter. I really liked the special twist on the dinner bread and that lavender butter was delicious. For our entrees we both ordered their Fresh Sea Scallops (pan seared crisp, avocado beurre blanc, smoked tomato vinaigrette, poblano corn relish, rosemary polenta, and seasonal vegetables). The scallops were perfectly cooked, the polenta was superb, and all the flavors complimented each other perfectly. We ordered some drinks and I can definitely say the Parisian Pear cocktail that I had was one of the best (Grey Goose La Poire, Pear Brandy, St Germaine Liqueur, and fresh lemon juice). I look forward to returning.

The kind of place that inspires me to cook! This was quite a pleasurable experience. Great service, nice inside, and of course very tasty food. They know what they are doing! Yes, get the Yukon Tacos! I was very impressed as well by the mix of complimentary flavors that the Duck Duck Goose provides! Highly recommend an evening with Wild Sage Bistro!

    What is the corkage fee?

    Great question.....$20 Enjoy

Are kids allowed? Wanted to bring my 11-year-old for my birthday. I did see salmon on the menu so she would probably eat that.

Kids are welcome, however, it's not really a kid type restaurant. I eat there maybe twice a year. Great place, but more suitable for business dinners, anniversaries, hot dates. Most tables are couples having an adult night out.

When is Happy Hour and what is the menu?

Just there last week they don't have a Happy Hour :(

We arrived around 5:30pm and left around 8. When we arrived we immediately felt warm and cozy. The vibes are absolutely immaculate! There are plants and cute decor everywhere and the lighting is really soothing. We were shown to a table in the back that was more private and it really felt like we had our own little garden that we were hanging out in. The server was very nice and friendly. Both she and the other server or bartender were friendly and attentive. We ordered a bunch of drinks throughout the night. I had two pinky promises because I don't drink and they were absolutely delicious. They have some great mocktail options to choose from! We also got the hummus board and the bites board and they were fantastic! The hummus board had two rotating hummus options - one was a normal hummus and the other was a beet hummus. The pita chips seemed freshly made and were AMAZING. I wish I could take a bag to go with me! The bites board was also amazing and had some delicious cheeses. We asked to have the meats replaced with other things to make it vegetarian and it was fantastic. They should add it as a menu item, we loved every bit of it! It didn't feel like it had substitutions at all. We loved every second of our time there and kept saying how we wished it was local to us. This place is an absolute gem and I hope it gets more traction because of how wonderful it is. If I ever visit Spokane again I will absolutely be back here!

Being full of plants and dog friendly added to the appeal for our crew. The service and cocktails were top notch, though I was a little sad that most of the food options I was interested in were not available. The charcuterie and hummus plates were nice, and ample servings for our whole table. Our small group had a great experience, and I truly hope more people will recognize what a gem this place is!

The whole atmosphere is dark, cozy, moody, and feels more like a hidden lounge than a typical downtown bar. Between the lighting, music, books, and dramatic cocktail menus, the vibe alone makes the place worth visiting. We tried the espresso martini, Painkiller, and Bloody Verde. The espresso martini was smooth and easy to drink without being overly sweet, and the Painkiller had that creamy tropical flavor that somehow still worked with the darker speakeasy atmosphere. Keeping it honest though, the Bloody Verde just wasn't for me personally. I can still appreciate the creativity behind it, but the flavor combo just didn't match my taste buds. That being said, if you like savory spicy cocktails, you'd probably feel very differently about it. Service was friendly, drinks came out looking great, and the music really tied the whole experience together. Definitely one of the best-quality restaurants in the city, where every dish was thoughtfully made and packed with flavor. What we ordered: Starters: - Spring Salad: Super fresh and well-balanced. The snap peas were crisp, with strawberries added for sweetness, and the goat cheese + pistachios gave it a creamy, nutty contrast. The lemon & tarragon vinaigrette tied everything together with a light, herby flavor. - Jerk Cauliflower: Crunchy cauliflower with Caribbean spices with a creamy jerk sauce, good as a side Appetizers: - Peel 'n' Eat Shrimp: Really juicy and spicy from the Cajun spice. There's butter to dip in but I found it too greasy and prefer lemon instead. - Blistered Hungarian Peppers: Smoky pepper with some sweetness and savory from the sausage and cheddar. Served with a toasted focaccia that soak up all the sauce. Main dishes: - Chicken Schnitzel: One of the must-orders. Crispy, golden breading, super tender inside. The lemon & caper butter sauce added acidity and richness that elevated the whole dish. Yoy have to order extra because it's never enough for the table. Yes, it's that good. - Marbled Duroc Pork Chop: Another favorite . Juicy and tender, with 'nduja salsa brava bringing a spicy depth, while lemon tahini and marcona almonds added creaminess and crunch. I always missed tasting this dish like my first time - Beet Ravioli: Earthy and slightly sweet flavor, nice texture but I hate goat cheese so I'm not really a fan of this dish - Pesto Bacon Pizza: Delicious crunch, loved the combo of mozzarella and gorgonzola, kind of creamy with a bit of funk. Balsamic do help balance and gave it a sweet tangy flavor, or else it would be too heavy for me (yes, not a pizza fan) Drinks & Dessert - Not Mai Tai mocktail: very aesthetically looking drink, but a bit too sweet to my liking - Apple crisp: cozy and warm, with baked apple & pecan crumble and served with vanilla ice cream on top. Delicious ice cream. - Pumpkin cheesecake: My 3rd favorite of the night, I still dream about it!! Rich, smooth, and perfectly spiced, you shouldn't skip this!!! That said, I do have to take away a couple points for timing. Our foods took 45 mins to come out even though I had reservations and note the menu items via the email, and the wait time between each dish was also... very confusing. It broke the flow of our meal. But once the food hit the table, it was hard to stay mad, so I forgave them.

Tonight was just so strange. First, I had no idea who was an employee. There were two girls that were going around together over and over, they kept stopping at tables so I think they worked there...but they never had anything in their hands. Our server seemed to keep forgetting we were there. Or just forgetting she was employed in general. Seriously just not with it. She was very nice...when she remembered we were there. I will say the pizza crust tasted amazing. So many places that serve pizza think of the crust as just something to put toppings on, but this had great flavor. Sadly, it was rolled too thin and said toppings made it somewhat soggy. Caesar salad was ok. Romaine was really fresh and crisp and the homemade croutons were still a little warm. Very good. However, the dressing was rather bland. And when I asked for pepper for it, our waitress first had it in her head that I expected some kind of peppers on my salad. When she finally understood I meant black pepper, she went away. Eventually she returned. Not with a pepper grinder or a shaker, but a sauce bowl that had about 3 tablespoons of black pepper in it. I wouldn't use that much pepper if I cooked for myself for a week and used it with every dish. Had to ask for knives for some of people's meals. I will say the spicy lamb rigatoni was amazing, pasta just right and the sauce and flavor was peak. I am just not sure what to say, other than this was the strangest and most disorganized dining experience I have ever had. I think if a grown up showed up and brought the kids into line, this place would be amazing. Also, for what we paid, I expected to be wowed, not left wondering what I just experienced.
