First let me say we appreciate a place where we can all order and be safe due to our nutritional needs. Gluten, dairy allergies and more. Good food but definitely not reflected in the food to price ratio. My youngest and I got the chickpea burger. While delish the $26/each price tag Was hefty and confusing. My middle daughter enjoyed the mushroom risotto but $24 I believe with no protein included seemed a bit high As well and hubby had steak. Drinks were good but seemed overpriced too. We enjoy dining out and many times in higher end spots but we're normally blown away by the offerings and service. Besides good service the food did not blow us away here. My husband and I were in Spokane for work. Thanks to Yelp we found Wild Sage Bistro! As other reviewers have mentioned, the food was amazing! Everything we ordered was incredibly flavorful, from the drinks to dessert. Our favorite item was the Meyer lemon chicken. It was SOO GOOD!! Our server was friendly and helpful with menu suggestions. We went on a Monday evening around 5:30. We did not have a reservation, but we were able to get a nice table. The restaurant definitely filled up as the evening progressed, so I would recommend making a reservation just to be sure you get in. read more

My first visit to wild sage made me never want to go back but after being locked in the house for almost 2 years I figured I'd give in to my friends wants and to Wild Sage we went!!! Let me tell you I was NOT disappointed!!! A few key notes... DO make a reservation! We went on a whim and we did have to wait for a spot at the bar(it was worth it if you don't mind waiting!!) we got our spot and a great bartender not to mention we got to witness the owner in action!!! He's really great! We started with drinks of course! Champagne and this really yummy blueberry drink!! Appetizer musts the Yukon taquitos and the chickpea cakes!! OMG I literally crave both every single day!! Dinner I had the halibut and my friend had the tempeh! The halibut was so good. I'm allergic to mushrooms and they had no problems making sure there were none on the plate! I hate asking a chef not to put something on their plate however I'm super allergic so I have no choice! Dessert was my only negative! We had the seasonal clementine cake and the chocolate tort! The chocolate was hands down amazing! The hazelnuts ahhh. The clementine cake wasn't horrible but I wasn't a fan of the texture. The flavor was there. The house whipped cream so good but the texture just turned me off! The best meal I've ever eaten!! I travel for work quite frequently, and love to try local fare all over the U.S. My meal here is one I'll never forget! My server Alex suggested a beautiful salad complete with pistachios, beets, and a citrus component. The flavors melded perfectly, and I'm still dreaming about it. Our second visit to the Wild Sage Bistro was just as amazing as our first several years ago! So glad to have returned. Excellent, friendly service from Ari. Impeccably conceived and executed food from the chef. "Comfortable fine dining" is a perfect way to describe this bustling little joint. I was very pleased that they honored my request for a quiet little corner since we had just returned from a memorial service. They only have one booth in this 2-story restaurant and the "Scelfo Booth" was just perfect. Their offerings are so incredible. I really wanted to try just about everything on the menu! While we couldn't quite swing that, our choices were all excellent and we left very full and entirely satisfied. Went here for our date night this week and it was a nice treat. I've been wanting to try this place for awhile now so I'm glad we finally made it there! For starters - we got the taquitos. I really likes them, but my husband was on the fence. Didn't like them, but didn't dislike them either. They then brought some bread balls - I can't remember what they called them - with lavender honey butter and they were okay. As you can see in the photo they aren't really bread. The insides are hollow. I didn't care for them or the butter, but my husband liked them. Entrees - my husband got the creole shrimp fettuccine and thought it was good, not great. The pasta was more al dente than either of us cared for, but the flavor was good. I'm a lover of bacon, but I'm just not sure it worked in this dish. I order the filet mignon and in the words of my husband "every bite is precious" lol. It was really delicious. There were so many flavors. It was like a party in my mouth. I could have done without the tri-colored carrots and the Gorgonzola sauce that was on top, but all in all it was the best thing we ordered. Dessert - We ordered the Callebaut Chocolate Hazelnut Tart and it was delicious. Not the best I've ever had, but it was still worth it. The rhubarb mule was FANTASTIC. It tasted like a sweet tart. I definitely recommend it. Service was good as well. We were thrown by the "please limit your time to 1 1/2 hours" sign. Part of me gets it, because of the times we are living it, but also this is the first time I've gone to a restaurant during the pandemic and been asked to limit my time. And most of the other restaurants were less expensive than this one. Also, but the time we had been served our entrees it was already at the hour mark. All in all it was a good visit. It has been a bit since we tried Wild Sage. We did try the famous tacos. I personally felt they were a bit bland. Too much potato, not enough spice to jazz them up. In town for work and came at the recommendation of a local. Small little unassuming restaurant in the downtown area. Quaint, intimate atmosphere, nicely appointed with small bar area. Waitstaff (Kayla was my server) was so attentive and friendly with great recommendations. Cocktails are unique and well balanced, I had the Black Hat and the Pink Martini - 2 very different contrails but both good! I had their popover (I didn't see specifically on the menu but wanted a small snack while waiting for the main course but didn't want a full appetizer or salad as I was dining alone and Kayla recommended it). I had the halibut which was incredible! The accompaniments were perfect, the fish moist and tasty. Had the coconut cake for dessert and it also was fantastic! Everything about my dining experience here was terrific, from the service to the ambiance to the food. My family, which included two toddlers and me, came here at 5:30p on a Monday. We got seated immediately, and they brought us a basket of delicious freshly baked bread with butter. We ordered dishes, I had the wagyu burger, and the kids got two different pasta dishes. The duckling breast is easily one of the best things I ever ate. It's melt-in-the-mouth tender and savory without that ducky taste. The sauce that came with it was so good we scraped every last bit of it off the plate. The other menu items are pretty good, too. The fried pork belly and potato taquitos are both well made and have a lot of flavors. Even the complimentary popovers are perfect. It seems like they take great care over every little thing. Quite by chance, we happen to dine here again, having been on one previous occasion. David, our waiter was phenomenal, attentive, and friendly. The Polenta Fries were amazing/topped with spiced red pepper jelly and Cotija cheese, the Summer Harvest Salad w/Sumac Watermelon and the Snake River Farms Flank Steak was to die for. WOW!!! We came here for dinner our first night in Spokane. We both had the soup of the moment- which was a tomato crab yummy concoction. We also had the Duck. But... honestly the best item was the popovers and butter that came with it. I could have had a bowl of soup, 2 cones full of popovers and been in Heaven. The butter has an earthy Forest like note- it's fluffy and obviously infused somehow. It's insane. The Duck came with a salad that had beets. I'm not a huge micro-green fan, I ate the beets that were interspersed. My hubby HATES beets so he didn't touch the salad.... The service was friendly and prompt. The wife and I had the opportunity to have date night at Wild Sage the week they re-opened after everything initially shut down. We had heard wonderful things about the food here so were delighted to have the chance to try it right out of the kitchen. Our meal started with complimentary popovers and soups. We had never had popovers before so for anyone who has not had them, they're basically like croissants in the form of hollow spheres. They're tasty alone or with butter but we loved them to dip in the creamy soup. Next, we shared a Wild Sage salad which was plated ever so elegantly. Each bite was a delicate balance of texture and taste between the crunchy hazelnuts, creamy goat cheese, and acidic huckleberry balsamic vinaigrette. For entrees we chose the smoked duck banh mi sandwich and Wild Sage burger, both with fries. First, the fries were crispy and salted well. The banh mi sandwich had a decent amount of flavor with perfectly crusty bread. Lastly, the burger was juicy and held together well. The best way to describe my experience here is-impeccable. The server was helpful, friendly, and funny, we had a great time interacting with him. The food was the kind of food you can tell the chefs know what they're doing: cooked with precision and experience, depth of flavors working complementary to every aspect on your plate. In the entrees the favorites are the pork tenderloin and the bucket list burger. We order the fries extra crispy with extra tomato jam. For dessert the coconut cake is superb! My only wish is on the burger to drop the thousand island and to bring back the bacon jam. And the team is fantastic! read more

Yukon taquitos are a great app- disregard that there's no meat- you'd never know! Ate at bar. We had dinner at Wild Sage on Saturday night before going to the PBR. I've visited many times over the years and always have enjoyed the food and service, and every single time I wonder why I don't go more often. I intend to, in the future, because it is so incredibly consistent. Every aspect from entering to leaving (quite full!) indicates a focus on quality and that many people genuinely care about the details and work well together. In addition to the lightest and most buttery popovers I have ever tasted, we shared the poached pear and bacon and blue salads. Both had well-balanced, distinct flavors and were a fresh start to our meal. He ordered the Hawaiian bigeye tuna, which was perfectly seared rare and accompanied with avocado beurre blanc, tropical fruit salsa, wild rice, and carrot-daikon slaw; it was so incredible that I stole more than just a few bites. I had the breast of duckling with cherry-port demi, yukon potatoes, vegetables, and toasted hazelnuts, and it was rich had a delightful balance of color, flavor, and texture. The only thing better than the presentation was the actual taste. After our entrees, even though full, we couldn't resist the special of the spiced apple bundt cake with vanilla bean ice cream and caramel, and of course the hazelnut chocolate tart. Both were terrific, and I seriously considered ordering more to go so that I could extend the experience by having the best breakfast of my life, but prudence won over, so I "just" had more than my fair share of both desserts. This is my new favorite restaurant in the Spokane area. All the food here is both delicious and fresh, made with seasonally based ingredients. The menu has several amazing vegan options not to mention a vegan chocolate macaron ice cream! The staff here are extremely friendly and knowledgeable.
