We came here as a larger group that was split into two tables outside. The bathroom stank and was next to the kitchen. The heaters did not provide much heat. The only thing I ordered was a cappuccino and only a few people ordered food at our table. We were almost all coffees. My cappuccino did not come for thirty minutes. I tried to cancel it but the waiter said it was on its way. I got up to used the restroom and the waiter asked me what kind of milk I wanted. The cappuccino had not been started! This review is purely a reflection of the service. Maybe they had an off day? There were only two servers and I could not see how many were in the kitchen. I was super excited to try my first 100% gluten free restaurant because I feel like I've been deprived of all of my favorite foods for so long already! The shrimp portion of the wild shrimp crostini was delicious but I was really looking forward to a crunchy crostini and instead received sliced bread with it. The pizza I didn't enjoy at all, it was more of a soggy flatbread that I couldn't get myself to finish. The chicken parm and the mozzarella sticks were both really solid choices and you couldn't even tell they were gluten free! I visited WILD after a guest of mine recommended this place for being Gluten free. Being a nutritionist and food critic, I had to visit as I am cautious about my health. I rarely write reviews unless it's needed. My experience has to do with poor service. If you want to visit a place that just takes your order and does not check in to see if the food met your expectations, this is the place for you. Our server took our food order and never visited the table again afterwards. Usually when food gets dropped at the table, your server should check in to see if the food is meeting the guests expectations or if anything else may be needed for the table. I did not receive this form of hospitality. Instead my server, and the rest of the servers, were sitting down eating during what may have been a lunch break? In addition, our server was working on what seemed to be credit card tips, as her back was towards us sitting with the rest of the servers. When we were finishing up, I patiently waited for a server to visit to ask if anything else was needed or if we would like the check. While no one visited us during our time there, I made eye contact with a different server who was eating sitting next to our server and initiated the "signature" hand gesture for the check. While taking her bites, she gave me a hand gesture as in "one moment" and did communicate with our server who is sitting next to her. As minutes went by, still no check. I patiently waited and starred until eye contact was made with the same server I requested a check from. When she realized I am still waiting, she then proceeded to call another server to bring our check and not our personal server. Again, my server did not check in during our whole dining experience, drop the check off, or thanked us for visiting the restaurant. This is poor hospitality for a restaurant with a well known name. As a nutritionist and known food critic. You have my disappointment as an establishment nor do I plan to recommended this restaurant to clientele do to lack of proper service. read more

Very disappointing experience. Any diner can provide better service or food. Where do I start? When we arrived I couldn't believe that was the place where I made the reservations. Zero ambiance whatsoever, some shabby room with unfinished tiny room. Strange menu, claims to be 100% gluten free yet focused on pizza? Our food was borderline inedible. The steak that I ordered medium, was cooked to death. The pizza crust was super chewy. The asparagus was weeks-old. The service was atrocious. Our waiter disappeared and we had to find someone and repeat what we had ordered. It was freezing inside. The outside door was constantly open and it was below freezing outside so we felt like we were sitting outdoors. Absolutely awful food and service. This spot is my absolute favorite. The chicken Milanese is incredible, and the service is to die for. Very safe for celiac family member. Food was very tasty. Ambiance was good. We were there on a Sunday night and got right in but it was pretty crowded. Smaller seating area. Stopped by Wild for a gluten free lunch for a friend and myself. I think we got there around 3, expecting a busy crowd on Sunday but it was quiet- just is, and two other couples. We ordered the spinach and artichoke GF pizza, bbq chicken GF pizza, avocado toast with walnuts, Gorgonzola and honey and beer. The food was delicious. Service was meh. We had four different servers, which is not a problem. First server was friendly but definitely felt a bit anxious to take our order, borderline felt rushed. Considering how tiny the restaurant was, and how few customers were there, it was annoying that no one was around. It's very small inside with just a few tables (they do take reservations), but the space is almost doubled in summertime with some sidewalk tables. My friend and I ate outside on a busy Tuesday evening, so the vibe was very casual and fun. And though the food was very good, the service is super duper slow, the server forgot my Diet Coke, and they were out of the butternut squash ravioli which my friend loves. Very positive experience in the downtown Manhattan location. Wild mushroom pasta was incredibly flavorful. All pasta, pizza, everything is homemade (no boxed pasta woohooo!) Pasta had great consistency. Not soggy at all (contrary to recent reviews). Meatballs were super tasty. Salad was a salad- exactly what we ordered, all ingredients tasted fresh. Chocolate cake was yummmm. It was a homey kind of meal, nothing like elevated about the food, but I didn't expect it to be. It's a very cute vibe, great list of GF beers. Very, very tasty. Not sure why the last 10 months of reviews are so unfavorable but maybe they were helpful feedback and Wild made some changes. In which case, thank you, reviewers, and thank you, Wild! I'll give it 5 stars to try to balance out reviews. If I was craving pizza, I would definitely try it. The BK location near where I live has HH oysters, so may swing by there first. read more

TLDR: DO NOT EAT HERE IF YOU HAVE ALLERGIES TO FOODS BESIDES GLUTEN OR ARE VEGAN. They might acknowledge a gluten allergy, but everything else is off the table, and they will lie to you about things being vegan. They make their motto "dine with confidence" but that is the last thing you should feel at this place. I have severe food allergies to dairy, eggs, and nuts so seeing that they offered allergy and vegan accommodations, I was pleased to go here. I tend to eat dishes that are vegan since they eliminate dairy and egg out of my allergies. I've been here this past summer and ordered a pizza that they made vegan for me, but this time, my experience was incredibly different. The first red flag is their "vegan" options. They mark a V next to dishes that can be made vegan on their menu. I asked if I could get the Mushroom Garganelli pasta with a V next to it in the vegan option. The waiter says yes, and then I tell him about my allergies. He then backtracks and says there is actually egg in the pasta so I can't have that. I ask about a different vegan version of the pasta and he says they all have egg. Major red flag for me and for vegans... Would he not have told me unless I mentioned my allergies? I wonder if they have been serving supposedly "vegan" food to other customers.... I elect to get a pizza and make it vegan instead (like the 'V' by the side of the menu indicates that I can), substituting the cheese for vegan cheese. I make note again of my allergies to the waiter and he says he will handle that for me. Fast forward 30 minutes later and I was unconscious in the subway station having my partner administer my Epipen in the leg. I went into extreme anaphylaxis and spent the night in an ambulance + hospital. I imagine the pizza was not truly vegan and likely had egg or dairy in the crust or cheese. Usually I am more careful and try to take a bite and then wait 5-10 minutes to be safe, but seeing that I had eaten this same dish here before, I figured I would be fine. Went there for a Sunday brunch. The huevos rancheros is a different take from the norm. It was interesting. The black beans were really good. The potatoes were too starchy. But the dish definitely could use much more flavor. The truffle pizza was excellent. Probably should've just had that. The punched eggs though would definitely overcooked and have very little flavor. Drink selection is limited as they don't have cocktails. The red wine was pretty good. Service was OK. Overall, a mediocre dining experience. Not terrible, not great. Not worth it repeat. read more

So here's my experience at Wild. Took my family here cause L'Artusi was closed due to renovations cause it was the only place near that looked appealing. Waiters we friendly and welcoming but the service was horrendous. We sat down at 6:25pm and didn't receive our food literally till 7:38pm which totally unacceptable especially when seeing people around us that came after us being served. The food was is delicious don't get me wrong but never in my life have I ever had to wait over an hour to receive food. I addressed the staff about this and they apologized but still it's unacceptable. Food is good but def a no go on coming back here. Only thing wild about this place was the wait time. I had been running errands all day in the city and looked on Yelp to see where a good local restaurant would be. I picked Wild because it said they had many gluten free options. The restaurant is very pretty with open doors and nice decor. We sat in the back with a lovely view of the outside. I really liked the ambiance; cozy, romantic, comfortable. I got gf pasta with butter, spinach and tomatoes. There was a little too much butter in it so if you're sensitive to butter tell them to go light. I had made a reservation on Open table the week prior to avoid wait times during the lunch rush on a Saturday. We arrived and the hostess said there was no room available inside and that we could sit outside for the time being, before being moved inside. Keep in mind that it was 45 degrees out and in the shade, so very chilly. A table opened up inside and the hostess never came to move us. Also, we informed her that a member of our party has a severe dairy allergy and she ended up being served dairy. They did comp that entree.
